Best review I've found thanks for taking the time to show how waterproof these gloves are. I've previously brought (waterproof gloves) then in heavy rain my hands get wet and cold. 👍
i wouldnt recommend the hydromatic gloves at all. they have poor seams which hurt you while gripping the handlebars, they are not waterproof and poorly manufactured. Get bike gloves with protection, and also snowboard gloves with wrist protection. If you crash with your bike they will fall apart on tarmac after a few meters.
Hey Steve - I just ran across this old video review I did on the 100% Brisker 'Hydromatic'. I wonder if you got a bad set? Seriously, I pulled my hand out of that glove dry as a bone! I was blown away that it actually worked - I agree, most waterproof gloves are a joke! In practice, living in Phoenix, it doesn't rain much, but I never got wet the handful of times I wore them before losing them in the mountains of Colorado. I hope they are still working for whoever found them :) Sorry your didn't work well for you.
They can handle light rain, but they can't handle real rain conditions. These start leaking water under a sink in about 10 seconds. So yes your review is trash.
Something like this with a goat leather palm and some sliders would be perfect. These gloves are predominantly designed for mountain bikers, but has some crossover potential
Great review however I would add that these gloves are completely useless. Summer gloves are probably more waterproof than these. Within 15 minutes of rain my hands were soaked!
