My 14 Pro Max is at 92 percent but, oddly, my Watch Ultra is still at 100 percent. Both have been used exclusively on beta builds except when a final release comes out and before the next beta is released.

Hi Aaron, i have an iphone 14 pro max, my battery life is at 96%, only charge it at night at sleep, don’t have always on display cause it uses too much battery, i don’t use beta updates, location services are set only while using for some apps the rest are off, tracking apps off, i have reduce motion on because it makes battery last longer, those are my settings

@@zollotechI understand the point of the video, but not every iPhone user is the same too. A lot of them specially in US use the phone for less than 2 years before switching but there are some that keep the phone much longer (I used 5y my old iPhone 6 for example) and the costs (buying and replacing battery) is much higher🥲 so I find worth to change (without much effort) my recharge/usage habit if I can have an extra year or two before replacing the battery

One important factor that must be noted is that the mAh listed on iPhone batteries is the minimum size of the battery, not the actual battery size. Looking at the battery stats in the analytics, you can see what the maximum capacity was when new. My 14 PM has a maximum capacity of 4559 mAh even though the battery says the minimum capacity is 4323 mAh. I purchased mine on launch day, it’s been charged 134 cycles and has a current capacity of 4439 mAh. On the battery health screen, it still shows 100%. Until my actual capacity falls below 4323, it will show 100%. Chances are, your 14PM had a startling capacity at or very close to the minimum rating of 4323. Basically, on top of everything that was said, the ‘all batteries are not equal even in the same device model’ point is very important.

@Blarnix
@Blarnix Год назад
Wi-Fi doesn’t affect it. Actually it’s the opposite, cellular is much more taxing than Wi-Fi and burns more battery. Usage and battery usage does, because if you burn more battery, the more you charge it, the shorter it lasts. It’s heat and cycles that affect it mainly.

@sterlingroberts6240 Год назад
1. Use a 5W wired or quality wireless charger overnight. 2. Make at least some effort to keep your phone higher than 30% throughout the day. This gives you headroom for emergencies and such anyway. There are two main ways that are easy and simple. A. Charge up with a fast wired charger during the day if needed or when it’s convenient. Even 15-30 should be plenty for most people in most cases. B. Set your phone on a quality 5W wireless charger throughout the day when it’s convenient and sensible to do so, like at a desk. 3. Be at least somewhat mindful about the heat you impose on your phone, particularly when it’s unnecessary or avoidable. Playing CoD with the phone on the dash while connected to a wireless charger in 35°C weather is probably something worth avoiding. 4. Don’t worry about battery health all day. Seriously. A little effort goes a long way, but letting it consume your life ain’t the way. Some very smart people put a lot of work into making a phone that can do this stuff for you. 5. Just replace the damn battery if you really need to. Apple will replace the battery for $69-99, and third parties charge even less. Plus you can do it yourself for significantly less. It’s not that hard. And don’t you dare tell me that’s bad value. Modern phones aren’t worthless three years in when the battery loses 20% capacity, lol. Also, replacing the battery will increase both the resale value and your ability to sell it.use the phone 2-4 years, replace the battery, then repeat and/or sell. Easy.

This year is different for me definitely. I switched off the always on display for the initial few months. When they allowed to disable wallpaper I enabled it again. The main thing that has helped me maintain 100% battery health since last year is the use of magsafe charging manufactured by Belkin. Also I have now started to not charge the phone daily at night and to full 100% every time. This has helped immensely

20W charger, iPhone 13 Pro, used since launch, still 100%. I found out today in here that apparently the 100% statistic is for the minimum stated capacity of the battery by Apple, and only changes as soon as the battery max capacity drops below it, meaning that the battery in my iPhone is still likely larger than that minimum.

Don't forget that the actual capacity of the batteries is usually higher than what's advertised and vary from one to another. This is why the battery health stays at 100% for a long duration of time - the 100% is set to the advertised capacity not the actual one the given battery have and will stay at 100% till the battery capacity drops below it. Saying that, it's actually good guess some are making that the battery quality is lower this year or alternatively the actual capacity is quite close to the advertised one.

My 14 pro max has also degraded significantly (91%). I rarely run beta software. I always wirelessly charged all of my phones at night. No case on my phone. The only difference this year is that I use an oem mag safe charger (not fast charged) vs a belkin charger that I used to use.

Great information as always. Thanks! I’ll just share some thoughts. As someone who works for an AASP and has this type of conversation every day, don’t watch your battery health. Only check on it if you seee issues with staying on or system performance. There are two thing to note. First, every time you use and charge your iPhone, the battery will degrade, everytime. The second is that Apple rates the percentage based against what they advertise is the phone’s maximum and they often place higer then avertived batteries in the various iPhone modles. That means that when it was showing 100% it could have been 110% or higher of the advertised capacity and took much longer to drop below 100%. For the iPhone 14 they are actually advertizing a higher total capacity, so it would not surprise us if the batteries had a simular total volume as befor so we see the percentgae drop from 100% sooner. One last point, over the years we have seen most iPhones can drop down to 85%-90% then stablaize for a long time, years in most cases. So again, don’t watch your battery life. If you are concerned, call Apple and they can test it remotely and advise you further or drop in to an AASP/Apple Store.

I would charge my phone from around 60-70% to a hundred almost all the time and took my case off while charging. I used a ESR HaloLock wireless charger but my battery dropped to 99% on March 17, 2023. I got my phone on July 19, 2022. Battery capacity did not even stay on 100% for 8 months then dropped even faster and now it is at 95% capacity. Why is that? I barely use my phone. 1-2 hours max on average. Am I doing it wrong?

Tips For Gamers, Charge your iPhone to 100 Percent then Play Games like PUBG , G.Impact etc.. while charger plugged in, by doing this your game will directly run through the power coming directly from the Power Outlet not from the Battery hence reducing the load on battery and cycle count also. I am doing this only from past 1 year and my iPhone 13 Pro battery health is 96 percent even with one year of heavy gaming. REMOVE CASE ALSO FOR Heat Dissipation Further you want to reduce the heat then Turn on the Airplane mode and then Play games with WiFi this will significantly low the tempratures and increase the performance

@@d3nnycadroThat’s because your battery had a higher actual capacity. The software will read 100% even while your battery is losing capacity, simply because it hasn’t reached the threshold of 100%. For example, let’s say the battery actually has 3200mah, and the software sees 3000mah as 100%. That percentage isn’t going to change until your battery loses 200mah in capacity

ESR has a 2-in-1/3-in-1Halolock (MagSafe) charger with Cryoboost. Basically, it's a little fan that turns on when the phone is charging. This is the first full year I've used it, and this is the first year, given all the answers you gave, that my battery health is actually really good. I've used this charger with a case basically every night, and things seem to be going well with the battery. Side note: I think iOS is a sneaky reason why battery health is rough for some, and I wouldn't doubt if these batteries were a bad batch that was put into the phone (and yes, it's a big batch).

Indeed, for those who live in the United States, it makes sense to change the battery, here in Brazil Apple is charging R$ 699 to exchange for a new battery... (this amount is equivalent to half of a minimum wage) it is an exaggeratedly high amount

I shut down all the location-based system services, 5G, and some other stuff as per the recommendations of the guys on the Payette Forward channel, and am going to manually, manage the battery charging optimization, like I have to do on my Apple Watch.

The battery health might just be an issue with the 14 Pros. My regular 14 is still at 100% Battery health and I've also been running betas on it. But I do only charge my phone to 80% each night and then leave it on battery throughout the night, so that might be another reason. I'm probably keeping my phone for a couple of years so I am going to keep preserving battery health. And while the phone does get somewhat hot (especially when using Carplay), it hasn't really effected battery performance. That said, if you know you're going to upgrade soon, don't let battery health affect you.
