I’m glad I found this video soley because I wanted someone else to mention how Tim Allen essentially gets possessed by the spirit of Santa Claus all while happy Christmas music is playing in the background

In hindsight a childrens movie with the premise being "if you murder Santa Claus you are forcefully santaclaused like some kind of mind control virus" was really weird

I love taking this movies seriously, because you know, the implications *are* weird; and I wasn't a kid when I watched this movies, so yeah

Watching this way late to the point that most of these questions are answered in the Disney + mini series, The Santa Clauses. Which means that either enough people have gone to Disney with these questions, or an executive producer for Disney watched this video somehow

My mom and I finally finished watching the Santa Clause series and now I can finally watch this because my brain told me I had to wait until I finished the show to watch this video. This movie is such a weird movie and I love seeing people react or analyze it because it’s so bonkers

I think Lucy calling him Uncle Scott is actually pretty charming, I think one of the few redeeming qualities of these movies (that I can remember at least) is the relatively healthy relationship between Scott and his ex wife’s family. I’m pretty sure they drop the anti-stepdad shit after the first and give them a lovely kinship, as indicated by Lucy loving Scott

How bad am I if many times I laughed with this analysis because it is the type of theories that I made when I was little when I saw it!

9:08 When I was little, I asked my dad how Santa would get inside our house bc we didn't have a fireplace or a chimney. The answer I got was either he would land in our front yard and go in through the front or back or land on the roof and climb down to our porch and enter the front door (we didnt have a very high house so it was plausible.)

The Cuphead Show had a Christmas episode where The Devil becomes Satan and the elves are portrayed as being in a cult, and also the THOH episode of The Simpsons where Homer becomes the grim reaper right down to his body partially becoming skeletal. And yeah I agree with you especialy after your childhood trauma video...being forcibly turned into someone else or being taken over by someone else, can be genuinely creepy.

I remember owning the Santa clause, liking it but not loving it, only watched 2 a couple of times and barely remember anything except for how weird toy Santa looked. But then. The third. That is the only one I loved.

A little theory of mine is that the elves are Santa's children throughout the thousands of years. Which is why a Mrs claus must be involved. (Idk if turns out their infertile then they get a new Santa regardless?). And to the wife idk but would make sense why there is kids(?) in the class, just the youngest of the bunch. Not all thought out but just a little theory of mine

How is this video so underrated? I love this. It’s a massive smashing down on a series I loved as a kid but it’s done so well with well thought out quips and actually good questions regarding plot holes (which like someone else had said some of these have been resolved within the TV series) Also Scott isn’t making fun of Neal for the sweater. Pretty sure it’s the sweater vest he’s making fun of. It’s basically like bro, if you are going to wear a sweater, wear the whole thing not some of it. Also not gonna lie. Santa Clause was the start of my snowglobe obsession…. Now I have 10. It’s a slow building collection but I love them. I just want a replica of either the one Charlie has in the first movie or the second movie. I don’t mind, I just want it for my collection

I never really understand the Santa Clause movies when I was younger, but good god I never understood the context what was going on because OMG. Thanks ABC Family (Now Free-form) for these bizzare Christmas trilogy of pain that made me confused for life.

I can't wait to rewatch these movies with the idea of Tim Allen being possessed by Santa Claus. The Santa Clauses (the show) is really bad and the story gets even more confusing with a multiverse.
