As a older woman, I am particular about the minimalist videos that I watch.....but, I have to say I always enjoy yours! You have a way to inspire me to declutter and give me a laugh at the same time. Hang in there you will turn your family into minimalist one day too.....but I recommend keeping that extra pair of eyeglasses for when you travel.
It's the dramatic shot of your dog with a sock for me hahahhaha I'm watching this while declutering my closet, wish me luck (vintage wear lover and seamstress here, it's a nightmare)
@Borza Good luck in decluttering- it will be a challenge but maybe you have lots of clothing but have a streamlined aesthetic in other areas of your life. There’s a vintage YTer Lacey Vintage or something. She does clothing, appliances, recipes. Not minimalist but rekaxing to watch- a vibrant personality.
Hangers- tossed bundled multi-colored cheap plastic hangers &invested in a few quality wood w/ clips &heavier for coats. Made huge difference. Thanks for video.
I have been trying to be a minimalist over a year. Your videos inspire me to declutter the unnecessary stuffs. I got rid of almost all of my stuffs which I have been keeping since high school student. Way more to go. Love you from Myanmar 🥰
Living in Singapore you only need sandals, summer shorts/trousers, a few tops. One smart outfit with shoes. What more clothes do you need. Here in Switzerland it is a different story. I am a minimalist - not extreme but more on the extreme side. If your cute dog needs socks, I should send it my extras. 😅😅😅😅 Great video as always. Kind greetings from Zurich, where today is about 6C.
Thank you for help making the transition into minimalism digestible! I love how you break minimalism down into small actionable steps or easy attainable goals. I've been finding success in my journey where I've previously failed. I also want to make it known that even prescription glasses are very much donate-able! People might have to do some research but there are a lot of organizations out there that will take them. Often these organizations will host free vision screenings and try to match their prescription with a donated pair of prescription glasses. So PSA: if your glasses are out of date, but still in relatively good condition, try to donate!
Loved the video. I think that the problem for some people is the waste, since i was a child i've never liked throwing stuff to trash bins, its a horrible feeling and for that reason im going zero waste. Maybe you can do a video about sustainable decluttering😊
WOW! I am impressed with this video. You put so much effort into editing and it really shows. I love it! The way you showed the different items on the shelve, the part where you copy, paste the duplicate items?! This is awesome, you are very creative, I LOVE IT! :D
I’ve always wondered what happened to ckspace’s older RU-vid videos before minimalism, I would have loved to see them. It would have really showed us more of his progress.
Tuesday has become my "decluttering" day because you upload content on such day. What a nice day !i listen to your voice when i declutter! very therapeutic! u gave me an idea which item to declutter! thank u! i will make a video inspired by your content soon!
Yup, i did all you talked about in the video, Cheng! Btw you look so beautiful in black clothes. So elegant, simple, classic and mysterious. 🖤🖤🖤 Thank you for the tips. have a great week my friend. Stay safe. 🖤 P.S: The missing sock scene was so funny 🤣. Your dog is so cute 💖
Really helpful content and your English is quite good. I love the discovery of why your socks are missing 😂🐶. By the way, I use single socks as dusting cloths and then throw away when finished.
Doing a clean sweep of your living space, finding the items that are not proving useful or taking up essential space. This video helps to reanalyze what I have and do the same thing. Thanks for sharing your ideas !
Big fan here. You're a great reminder of my minimalist journey as the videos pop out every week :). I was curious if you ever thought of switching to kindle or another e-book reader. I can say it changed the game for me haha. Keep it up and stay safe!
Where can I find that pen with those refills!? For the longest time I thought those things didn't exist since they surely are not available where I live! That's really cool! Great video! I'm currently doing the 30 days minimalist game and I love watching videos like yours while I'm picking what I'm decluttering. It keeps me inspired and motivated!
I got them from a local bookstore, you might want to ask the store keeper for it because most of the time they have it behind their counter. Glad that this helps! All the best to you 💪
Because of the pandemic our thrift stores and donation centres are closed. I can’t wait until they reopen. In the meantime I’ve been holding on to empty boxes and labelling them DONATE. As I go through and declutter I’m filling up boxes so when things get better they will be ready leave my home.
So funny your guilty dog loves to destroy your socks! What I do for scholar notes I scanned all my notes from high school to business school !! Huge amount of paper in a SSD external hard drive :)
Regarding foreign currency, I def love to keep mine, especially Euros bc US dollars is always inflating, so I usually like to keep it where I exchanged it previously. And I know I just have money to spend next time. I agree with everything in the video though.
Hey broo, loving the watch. It matches what I'm looking for: white face with a simple design that is suited for many different styles. Where did you get it?

MORE tips for you all from my perspective: i have never had a wallet in my life. i always kept a loose $20 bill in my pocket and a credit card (once i was old enough to get one). that's it. if i did get change from breaking that $20, i would use it up the next few days. i don't keep coin containers then redeem them. that takes up space and gives me a job to do when there wasn't one to begin with. business cards? that is like 1950s stuff. everything is digital today. i don't know anyone who uses business cards anymore. even businesses are on facebook and other websites. men don't need to wear underwear. i never have. women have to protect their vaginal discharge as well as any entry into their bodies but men don't need that. it's another item to wash maintain and purchase. i have only two hangers at home but 5 shirts and 3 pants. how? i hang 3 shirts and one pant on one hanger, on top of each other (does NOT wrinkle), and the other 2 shirts and 2 pants on the other. super minimalist and takes up a lot less space in the closet. also watch out for backpacks because many of them weigh over 2 pounds EMPTY. i now have a daypack that weighs a few ounces empty. makes a huge difference when traveling because weight is paramount - the reduction of it that is.
@@CKSPACE Well as you agree. How about getting your parents record number of coathangars into the Guiness Book of Records. Maybe they could become the World Winners and be famous. Bless your dear parents. But I know you are a minimalists. Now - what about your girlfriend? Much love from Zurich, where it is getting freezing and colder by the day. Hope we have good snow this year. Bless you and have a nice evening.
I have a family member who is a hoarder...😢... I cant declutter because its not mine... And i declutter when he's not around coz he just pick up my thrown clutters and brings back to our house...😅 So i do it when i'm all alone in the house... Much better. 😊
I don't use and buy big towels, unnecessary things now , to minimize my time on doing the laundry and put away things in just a quick cleaning and other things, good thing i recycle my other clothes to make it a towel just a lightweight one.
3:35 but what if you travel to a colder country? 🤔I'm becoming a minimalist but I have some pieces of clothing that are for colder seasons, though I live in a mediterranean country I never have to use them, but still I got them for when I travel (or when travel was possible lol) 6:25 🤣
I’m from a tropical country too. When I travel to colder countries, I simply use whatever jacket I have and borrow from friends or families. It’s not unhygienic as they seldom use them. Lol
I really like the style of your video! Altough I think some of your recommendations seem a bit wasteful. Instead of removing non-trendy items, you shouldn’t buy them in the first place. Also underwear or a yoga mat doesn’t need replacement just because it is a bit older. If you take good care of your stuff and think about your purchases beforehand, those things can last for years, and won’t collect bacteria that cannot be cleaned!
Many years ago, before you found minimalism, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) said in a hadith: “Verily, simple living is part of faith, simple living is part of faith.” Source: Abu Dawud 4161
