Solar panels and batteries can now last 10 years or more if taken care of correctly. If you try and build a system similar to mine you will not break the bank, and get many years of use out of it. Its worth the money if used properly, if you expect too much out of it, you will always be disappointed. The thing to keep in mind, you need full sun. While you have full sun is when you make your money back from investment. A small system can be a waste of money, you will get almost nothing from it, too big of a system and you will overpay with little gains. Finding the happy medium is key my system is not the best, but works for me. 4 power queen 100ah lithium 4) 250 watt panels Epever Tracer8420AN controller Duracell 3000 watt inverter
Good video Dave. Often folks think solar for a house (or even an RV) has to be all or nothing at all. You just demonstrated partial solar with a decent return at a modest investment. Thanks
Thanks Mike! Everyone go to Mike’s Facebook group “Meet in Q” Q as in Quartsite Arizona. He has lots of good information there for RV lifestyle and lots of other good information
Hello from the quiet sunny Ozarks Dave! Another video of value! You have been missed Dave and great to see and hear you again! i agree with you on solar, its great for supplemental power and outages. i use solar in my rv, boat and home to supplement my power. i even use a solar portable electric fence around my rv to keep the hogs and bears away .its great to see the solar prices come down. Take care and say hi to mom and hope alls well! Tight lines and bent poles!
Could not agree more, most people think of solar as a backup plan (only use it when needed). Use your solar EVERYDAY to the max and it can pay for itself. 400ah lithium, nice.
I got a free riding mower, next day I traded it for the solar panels. It’s all the panels he had. If I had more panels I’d need to spend more on controller, it’ll only handle 1000 incoming.
