Samurai Jack returns this weekend on Adult Swim! Will you be watching the season premiere?! Special thanks to SaberSpark for hosting this episode of 107 Facts!
I can see that. I've learned that the hard way in the real world, dealing with a former friend that is actively committing a federal felony. I have my former friend saved in my phone as "Aku."
Long ago, in a distant land, I: Cartoon Network, the Show-Cancelling master of darkness unleashed an unspeakable wave of cancellations on awesome shows! But a foolish new show with an interesting plot and cool animation stepped forward to oppose me. Sching! (Season One) Clang! (Season Two) Slice! (Season Three) But before Season Four was released, I flung him into hiatus, where my evil is LAW! Now the fool seeks to return to television and undo the future that is Cartoon Network!
Surprised this didn't show up on this list, but in the episode, "Jack Remembers the Past", there's actually a reference to Kazuo Koike's manga series, "Lone Wold and Cub", where young Jack encounters Itto and Daigoro.
With the added years of experience and the mature rating. Samurai Jack will surely go into the animation Hall of Fame. Joining Looney Tunes, Avatar the Last Aibender and newer inductees like Gravity Falls and Steven Universe.
Thumbs up for any and/or all of these "107 Facts" ideas: Samurai Jack season 5, Equestria Girls, Soul Eater, Batman Beyond, young justice, Batman the brave and the bold, Green Lantern the animated series, Sonic SatAM, Yugioh, Powerpuff Girls 2016, Kappa Mikey, Milo Murphy's Law, Puss in Boots, and Evangelion.
I remember when it came out in Aug 10th 2001 there was a major storm in NJ that cut the power right on the show...Hours later it came back on right on the point where it cut off and I never missed an episode since
Jack's trustworthy nature managed to get him into trouble. You mean like that time he literally trusted Aku (disguised as a hermit) for the first half of the episode before he realized something was up? Aku didn't even bother to disguise his face! He just shrunk down to the size of Yoda and pitched up his voice!
Jack actually WAS implied to have killed at least one human (or very humanoid alien, I can't remember) in the episode with the bounty hunters, but it was through an explosion, so it wasn't graphic or anything. That's how they were able to get away with it. Also, am I the only one who noticed that the fish people (whatever they were called) walk very similarly to DeeDee from Dexter's Laboratory? They even make a similar squishy sound with every step.
If you could combine the visuals, tone, pacing, and action of samurai jack with the mythology, story arcs, and characters of adventure time you would have a show that would be able to stomp any anime.
I always wondered why the show was so rarely ever played. for some reason it was never on when I had access to tv. granted I didn't have cable around that time growing up but I still managed to see every episode of Teen titans and Kim possible
If it's the Samurai code that kept Jack level headed (according to #22), I guess it would make sense for him to go crazy when the only thing left for him to do was to commit suicide in what he sees as a hopeless situation. He had to ditch that in order to continue surviving in a hopeless world. I also feel that this is what the green Samurai vision represents, the Samurai code calling for him to end as Samurai do.

When it was announced that Phil LeMarr would be attending our little comic-con like get together in our community; he was introduced as "The Weatherman from Family Guy.' He's more than that you freaking idiots! He's Samurai F**king Jack!! I'll be sure to show LeMarr more proper respect than that!
When this show came back I felt like an old lost friend came back to my life once again, thank you Samurai Jack for making Cartoon Network and Adult Swim slightly watchable again.
I remember being maybe 11 or 12 years old when this show first premiered and thinking it was the most unique, glorious and super-serious thing Cartoon Network had ever done. Not that there was anything wrong with comedy, or that teh show couldn't be funny at times, but I felt like it tickled the level of Batman the Animated series in terms of respect for children's ability to understand and accept. I know it sounds weird, but I felt like a kid whose parents were like, "Okay, we're giving you this because we know you can handle it and we trust you." If that makes any sense at all. My favorite scene of all time in this series was one in "Jack Versus Mad Jack". He's walking, and his hat blows away, flies back to him, but stays just out of reach, and flies away again. Then his sandal breaks. I remember thinking, "Oh Jack... that's your life in a nutshell"
Well fellas, the new Samurai Jack game changed the ending canonically! Jack get's the best, ending he deserves search it up and get ready to cry and scream in joy!
Im reciting this by heart. Long ago in a distant land, I Aku the shape shifting master of darkness unleashed an UNSPEAKABLE evil, but a FOOLISH samurai with a magic sword stepped forward to oppose sword slashing effects* before the final blow was struck I tore a portal through time and flung him into the future, where my evil is law, now the fool seeks to return to the past and undo the evil that is aku.
A FOOLISH SAMURAI WARRIOR wielding a SHAPESHIFTING MASTER OF DARKNESS wielding a MAGIC SWORD wielding an UNSPEAKABLE EVIL wielding A FOOLISH MASTER OF DARKNESS wielding A FOOLISH MAGIC SWORD wielding A FOOLISH SAMURAI WARRIOR wielding A MAGIC SWORD stepped forth to oppose me!
id like a smaurai jack ANIMATED movie because to me any thing with a tv budget that already looks good animated would look amazing with a movie budget this is the case with a lot of anime like sao or dbz where their films look great and so do their telvision shows
Fact 108: Another inspiration for Samurai Jack was the Frank Miller One shot graphic novel, "Ronin". Like Samurai Jack, it's about a nameless samurai warrior thrown into a dystopian future in order to battle the shape-shifting demon, Agat. Oddly enough Agat in the comic, has a similar head design as Aku.
