1 . Air filter doesn’t filter the 100% of the dust 2 . Gasoline in the combustion chamber burn oil 3 . So dust + burn oil in the combustion chumber those folks together make a big different so 10k and 5k will destroyed the engine , SO I DO MY OIL CHANGE 2.5K miles . SO OIL IS CHEAP AND ENGINES ARE EXPENSIVE
Hey Brother! You're not wrong, but I think 2.5K way too short of a run UNLESS you are absolutely abusing that engine in terrible conditions. For normal use, 5-7K is perfectly fine.
You're not wrong, but I think that is becoming a tad bit conservative nowadays. You can push it out a little further if you are doing lots of highway driving.
Depends on your type of driving. 5,000 is a good rule of thumb, but if you are doing lots of highway driving, you can get close to 10K without too much worry.
