Just purchased mine for 1599. Can't wait to test fire it tomorrow at the range. Have years of experience with the Glock 20 10MM, but always wanted the all Stainless Steel Sig P220.
As the proud owner of a 629 with an 8 3/8 barrel I think you will enjoy it as much as the P220. I own several S&Ws and hope to own more. I can’t wait to see the video when you pick one up.
Through a trade, got the P220 in the 'Hunter' version. That means SAO, steel frame, fiber optic front, and adjustable year site. Been eyeing this one. Wondering which one is better to own.
I've been a fan of the Legion series since I first saw the 226 Legion at my local shop. That grey just looks slick. For a while now I've wanted; the P220 SAO in 10mm, the P226 SAO in 357sig, and the P229 DA/SA in 9mm. I would shoot them too, possibly even carry the 229 from time to time. I understand that a lot of folks get a legion and keep it as a safe queen, but I'd get some use out of them rather than just look at them.
I’m a Sig guy and I’ve been going back and forth between this and a Glock 20. Went with the Glock 20 cause it’s gonna be an in the woods gun and get the crap beat out of it. Figure I just couldn’t do that to the p220 legion.
Although I’ll be close to spending the same because the glocks stock barrel can’t handle hard cast 10mm. So ok going to get the kkm barrel and compensator
Love that gun. I have the Legion p220 carry in 45 but it's a safe queen. Also have an older German p220 I like it and shoot it a lot. Getting one in 10mm is next on the list. Once you get some time in shooting it watch out for the Sig bug. Once it bites you it's hard to resist buying more. If you've never shot a p226 or p229 you should give them a try.
I know, I'm late to this party. A SIG Sauer P220 Legion 10mm Auto DA/SA 5" pistol for IWB carry... really? I love that pistol, but I would never want to carry it IWB.
America is a great place. I carried my P220 for almost a year and then a government model 1911 for longer. I have found from carrying full size pistols for work, that I want the same for when I am not at work.
@shootingitwiththesarge May God bless you for that. I just can't see ever carrying a pistol that size IWB. Heck, I don't even like carrying my smaller P229 IWB, nor my even smaller S&W M&P 9 M2.0 3.6" Subcompact for that matter. Yes, I know those are both double-stack pistols. In all honesty, I don't like IWB carry at all, regardless of the leather or kydex holster I'm sporting. When I carry my full size P226 MK-25, it's in a level-3 retention holster, obviously OWB, or a low-profile concealed carry OWB level-1 retention holster, or else a shoulder rig if I'm wearing a jacket. The same goes for any of my other full-size pistols. This is indeed still a free country, at least for now, if we can keep it. Who knows, with the way things are going. To each his own. Good things! 👍
Just got mine. Waiting to pick it up. Mine was made on Dec. 4 2020. What i noticed was, when i first saw the Legion, the finish was a dull gray just like my X5 Legion. With the new purchase of the 10mm Legion, the finish is more of a glossy green. Was there a change in the finish? Thank you
I have a cz design in 10mm that would run head to head with the 220 plus it holds more than the 220! I had a 226 years ago which was made in w. Germany and i think those are more desirable than the ones now!
Head to head how? Capacity isn’t important to everyone. 9 rounds of 10mm is alright for the purpose I have it for. A German 226 is a different class than this P220. Two completely different topics and subjects.
@@shootingitwiththesarge same design and technology! Ones high capacity ones not! But ya the west Germany ones are built better than the ones now! Have a nice day!
I say shot placement. I carry the P220 in 10mm everyday because I have shot and trained with it. So I would find whatever gun you can run efficiently. I have a couple interviews with Ben Morgan and we discussed this topic.
Just so you know the P220 Legion in 10mm does not have an alloy frame. You can look that up. Also multiple individuals within the community mentioned their PVD issues showing signs of what appeared to be rust. So I mentioned it in the video.
