Thank you for showing how to do this. I have tons of those mica packets as well. This will be a great way to use up those bits of resin at the end of the bottles.

You’re welcome! ❤️ I hate seeing things go to waste so it makes me happy to use that last bit of resin too (because I always end up with more A than B for some reason 😆)

You are Simply a Life Saver !!! 😻😻😻 Thank you so very much for sharing this mental stress reliever. 😻😻😻 I always have a quarter of an ounce of Part A and Part B left over in my jugs of resin. Now, I have a wonderful use for the left overs. 👍😁👍

Wow love this! I don’t always like the texture of using mica for coloring. What a great solution to buying the more expensive pastes. Thank you!

Really helpful. I guess this method prevents the problem of bits of mica not mixing in properly and causing blobs in your projects. I'm off to order a mortar and pestle! Thank you!

Thank you! That’s the #1 reason that I do it. 😊 It also helps by keeping fly away mica powder where you want it, and not in your projects that you don’t. Happy grinding! 😄

@@sunfiredesigns Actually, thank you. I’ve tons of those packets of mica. Have several mortar and pestles too. Only thing I need is small jars that seal. Looks like I’ll be hitting Dollar Tree real soon.

It doesn't matter whether you use Part A or Part B of the epoxy?
@sunfiredesigns
@sunfiredesigns Год назад
To my knowledge it does not. I usually use part A because I end up with extra for some reason lol. I think as long as they aren’t combined you should be good 😊

Hello. I am new to this. What do you use the pigment paste for? Thank you
@sunfiredesigns
@sunfiredesigns Год назад
Hello! The pigment paste is used to color the resin for your resin projects. In my previous video, I used some pigment paste to color the resin that I used as a background for the fireworks flower coaster that I made. It will be more opaque, so less see-through.

Whats the difference between using pigment paste vs powder?
@sunfiredesigns
@sunfiredesigns Год назад
In my experience, pigment paste concentrates the pigment and prevents mica from flying around and getting into your other projects. It’s also 100% easier to create your own unique colors by combining the colors you have (like making it darker with black, lighter with white, or something like a specific shade of turquoise. 🙂
