@@bulletsfordinner8307 there are a few online companies like Perfect Image or Skin Obsession where you can buy TCA peel. TCA is a more aggressive peel and works great for acne scars but if you are new to diy peels, it's important to start using the lowest percent first like 13% or 15%. I've been doing my own peels for awhile without any issues but if you are new, start slow and take your time. Skin Obsession has really good peels and customer service support. Edit: also if you have sensitive or dry skin, lactic acid would be good option because of it's smaller molecules. It works without noticeable skin peeling. Glycolic peels are good for aging skin.
@@Alyssaj1236 Thank you so much for your reply and all the info! 😊💖💖 I'll need to research it and see how to do it safely at home. Yes I never did one and my skin is super dry/flaky (real horror show) + in some areas acne resurfaced again and I also have rosacea 😞. So it's sensitive dry skin acne prone. I did acne treatment a few years ago and it did turn my skin very dry and almost super thin from all the antibiotics and creams. Well I have to see the best option. Thanks again for the tips dear. Please stay safe! 🤗💖
I Do Covers you mean this mesh, than hell yeah. I have never been so terrified of needles. I mean one is ok, as long it’s not in my face or mouth (I will die of panic I’d I ever get my wisdom teeth removed and they have to numb it) but multiple needles as some sort of mesh..... ehhhhh that’s even worse. Only over my dead body.
@@MsTonic625 yeah I probably will, but still, the thought of it gives me nightmares. And in my country I don't think it is allowed to do it without/ Its rather common that you get put to sleep.
@I Do Covers I got hit by a car last year, which resulted in my nose having to be stitched together at three points at the front. It. Was. Not. Fun. Especially considering I was fully awake and the numbing needles didn't do shit they just caused more pain. My nose is fine now, but whenever I see any type of needles... It just gives me flashbacks. What I'm saying is I completely understand your point.
I’m a licensed esthetician (skin care) and I lost my shit over the wax mask. That’s BEYOND damaging to the skin on your face. Your face is gonna get hella saggy and wrinkled from doing that.
@@sandybaby9573 well it's pulling the everliving shit out of your skin, which is never good, and when you (quite excessively) tug on your skin like that it can cause wrinkles and sagging. That why when you apply eye cream they tell you 'pat the not drag/rub' the product into your skin.
@@Melanie-jy2nw wax strips are fine👍. I would just refrain from using hard wax on your face, that the type of wax they use in the video, just because you have to be a little more aggressive with it. If you're that worried about peach fuzz you can by a women's facial razor at most drug stores because unlike popular belief shaving off your facial hair doesn't make it come back thicker or darker, I do it all the time and mine hasn't changed at all, it also makes makeup application a lot smoother. It's very similar to dermaplaning.
Yeah dood even using those smaller blackhead pore strips are super bad Bc they pull off a whole layer of skin in the process of pulling the blackheads out, so imagine what the wax does to the whole face... yeah not a good idea 🤭
@@moose_squirrel_colombo5786 I agree with you that these pore strips are super bad and not usefull. But they dont pull of a whole skinlayer. Thats not true and you would clearly see that :)
the dots one makes me remember all of my childhood fear ;-; and YES im talking about trypophobia stop saying trypophobia in reply ;-; lmao for real stop telling me ur trypophobia stuff
@Harry Potter actually Koreans also do this scrub I remember when I was young I keep seeing this wierd adds for random products including Justin Bieber with acutane but the scrub add from Korea was rapeatedly played and keep showing this Korean old people scrubbing there skin hard
Allison Linner they are small sized holes in the thumbnail tho, especially with the small squares you see on your phone for thumbnails make them even smaller
That Korean scrub thing.... Well why do scrubbing at someone's shop when you can sit at home and scrub in your bathroom. And that wax mask shut down my heart 😭
Korean here. I think there is quite a misunderstanding here and imma here to explain. As we can see from the various people from different countries commenting, the body scrubbing culture is quite universal. However the body scrubbing treatment used here is called Korean body scrubbing because it is a Korean variation of the practice using specific green body scrub towels called "italy towels" which is ironically not used in Italy (koreans just call it that for some reason) and done in a korean style spa and bathhouse called JimJilBang. Now the Koreans never claim they are people who invented this culture. Its just that this particular variation of the culture is very commonly practiced by majority of Koreans and that this variation got famous because of the koreans is why this video calls this particular treatment 'Korean bodyscrub'. No one is trying to deny other countries' bodyscrub/skin treatment culture. Its just that this particular style of treatment is Korean, that is all. P.S. the towels used are designed to be much more coarse than a normal scrub so its created just for the use of exfoliating dead skin cells. Also historically Korea has been trading cultures with the Turkish and Indians since very ancient times so maybe if you all are debating about the origin, here is a piece of info that might be useful.
.... "Korean" body scrub??? Perhaps it just exists everywhere and dates back to the same time period. But. Yeah. I doubt all the hammans in the world are doing a "Korean" scrub. It's a goddamn scrub. A basic one.
Alice G yeah it a normal scrub but it’s called a Korean scrub because of the type of sheets of exfoliating paper used. The scrub they use is basically soft sandpaper for the skin and works really well
I miss living in Koreatown and getting my body scrub SOOO MUCH!! You leave the spa feeling SOOO clean and relaxed. Probably the best money I've ever spent.
Its called korean scrub because of the kind of sheets they use for the exfoliation. besides, it doesn't have to be middle eastern. every culture has its own way of doing it.
Well, I'm Moroccan , and we also doing it, but we add more natural remedies for body and face and hair, and it should be in a large traditional warm place, we call it the Moroccan Hamam, it's not middle Eastern at all, my friend from Lebanon do it at home and wherever she comes to visit me we go Tegother, Plus turkey have their own i guess, so yea, it's not really a middle Eastern thing at all.
S.Korea has a big spa/sauna/public bath culture so that Korean scrub word seemed its from them because they use almost real soft sand paper like material tower to remove dead skins 'regularly.' Idk if turkey did it first in history wise but not famous as Korean beauty culture at this time so... 🤷♂️
🌸 2:55 the image on the left is a lot closer, than that image on the right, which was much further away I’ll be perfectly honest, there wasn’t any difference in the skin quality. Want beautiful plumped up skin? Then drink lots of water at least 8 pints per day, stay clear away from sugar, alcohol & cigarettes, try to get enough sleep, eat whole foods, cook it yourself to ensure low sodium
My mom has actually made a soap or gel (I can’t remember) that makes that part peel, it’s good for removing stuck on dead skin Its a chemical peal thing
You shouldn't do mechanical peeling cause they can be really damaging on the skin. But chemical EXFOLIATER for example with a little bit of salicylic acid can be very good for the skin :)
I have dark hair and the peach fuzz makes my face look dull and tired, castinf shadows more shadows around my eyes. Makeup catches onto the hair sometimes too and makes it look cakey.
Please don’t do the dot one guys. The instrument they use was actually made for surgical procedures and unlike what they show in the after portion, those dots are burns in your epidermal layer that will be there until they heal...or more likely scar.
I think it has to do with how the before picture had matte skin that didnt show the uneven tecture she had. The after picture has dewy skin and definitely showed texture.
I literally need that body scrub lol everytime I take a shower unholy amounts of dirt come off and I can't find an end to it. I use those hard exfoliators but they hurt my skin. Anybody have recommendations?
Get yourself a bottle of Dr. Bronners pure Castile peppermint soap, after you use that soap you won’t have that problem anymore, that soap will get you so squeaky clean you’ll feel like a brand new person, try it out
The burning dot thing face-lift reminded me of using a gold pen to decorate home made greeting cards, only without burning, obvs. Think that was the weirdest one. I've actually done the foot peel mask at home, and after about three days, my feet started to peel and it was super fun gradually peeling the bits off, but the top of my feet looked weird for ages, like dry looking, where it didn't peel off so quick. It did make my soles look softer and got rid of the hard skin, but it was so weird wearing squelchy mask socks and trying to not slip walking in them in the house!
The "Italy towel" was invented by a korean named Kim Pil-gon in 1962 but its called "Italy towel" because the fabric was imported from Italy at that time, hence the name Italy towel when its actually korean. I dont know if the middle east also did exactly something like this but i know about "Hammam" (Arabic for Turkish bath) where they use a kessa glove (which is the modern version of a hand knitted wash cloth) to scrub after they have gone through a "hot room". If you are interested in hammam you should definitely read more about it because theres more to it than just scrubbing and if you go to a hammam it'll an enjoyable experience and memory since its more of a spa treatment than just a cleansing ritual. (I'll probaly get hate for this but i wanted to share some information). (Edit: Hammam bath houses are roman bath houses but with a "turkish/ottoman flair" to it and then it became a big part of the ottoman empire and their culture and even now exist as part of modern Turkey culture. Decided to add this edit to share what i know since i saw that there was some confusion regarding "scrubbing with a wash cloth" and its origin)
Judging by the comments from a lot of you, I'm assuming you are all qualified beauty therapists? Sit down and learn something from this. (And yes, I am fully qualified so I am allowed to say that)
You must be blind then. No difference when you can SEE the dead skin coming off from the peels and the masks? See the impurities being sucked out of the skin? See the extractions being pulled out? See the hair completely removed from the waxing of the face and chest? Okay Jan
U gave the chemical peels method 3 times as 3 different method whereas its just the same as peeling of the upper layers of skin including dead cell which according to me is bullshit if u r scrubbing off ur body daily. You have money to waste but no time to scrub? Then try this
I have no issue with needles, even tho this looked really painful. The ne that freaked me out the most was the waxing, cause this is also extreamly unhealthy for your skin since it damages it
No. Cutting hair actually doesn't make it grow back coarser or faster. The follicle is cut on an angle making it feel sharper compared to the natural round, and they all grow back at the same time giving the appearance of more/faster
No. Your hormones, diet, and genetics, determines your hair growth. Hair grows at an average of 0.5 inch per month. Of course, your hair will seem to grow faster because you've never noticed how fast it could grow before.
