I was at Manas for a bit and always thought this country was incredibly interesting. You would think with the conflux of cultures there would be conflict, but this area has been exposed to it for thousands of years. Kyrgyzstan is a good example of people just getting along and doing their thing. I want to go back and explore some more.

Was there in 1997. Tourism had just started after their separation from the USSR. Beautiful country with very nice people. We were honored guests and not walking wallets. Never forget my time there.🤗🤗🤗

Go to Uzbekistan. I just got back after 3 weeks. The best between Stans. Kyrgyzstan is good for a nature but Uzbekistan is a cultural paradise with a Silk Road cities. And the food much better.

I visited in 2016 and loved it. Went to Bishkek, Kochkor and Issyk-kul. If you go I suggest going during Nomad Games! It's an amazing experience.

I would also suggest traveling to southern part of the country- Osh. It's different and you will find a really authentic culture. Great series about the Kyrgyz Republic, which is an official name of the country. The name 'Kyrgyzstan' as such exists only informally.

I spent a month there back in 2001. The first week in Bishkek, with the rest of the time based at Balykchy on lake Issyk-kul. One of the best trips I've had, and I'd love to go back again . . .

Kyrgyz are ancient/early medieval people, they used to live in a different part of Central Asia and were themselves a power not to screw with. At one point they leveled the entire Uyghur khaganate like it was nothing. And went back to their steppe. Beaiutiful and strong Turkic people, I still haven't traveled to Kyrgyzstan but dreaming about it.

I loved living there. It’s a very gorgeous country. I’ve spent a week at Lake Issyk Kul and stayed in a yurt. I’ve been to Ala Archa, Fairy Tale Canyon, Ashu, Karakol, and many other places. The bizarres were really cool to go to, Bishkek Park was fun, Stzum was cool. All in all, it was a very good and rewarding experience.

@@Rashida961 We had some friends who have lived there for years and we went with them. I had a lot of fun living there. I was ages 14-16 and the expiernces I had there were amazing and I still carry them with me to this day. It is a wonderful place to visit. My dad was the athletic director for the only Christian school in the capital and the second year were there, my mom brother and I went with my dad and the school’s basketball teams to Almaty Kazakhstan for a week and that was fun. We also stayed in Karakol the first Christmas we were the then at Ashu the second Christmas we were there

I lived in Bishkek and been there couple of times. It feels like a good community since everyone dances and enjoys themselves with strangers unlike where I live, Korea. The nature is stunning and the food is good. One of the only downsides is the government is corrupt, so police officers can stop you without any reason, and you'll need to pay and they'll keep the money. Many roads are unpaved and in the city it is very dusty and dirty in some places. Overall, I would recommend this place for nature lovers.

@@austinchong1637yes I did. Mutton was very fatty , chicken or beef good. They have spicy food , a lot of cheese. With my food intolerance my choices were limited. I couldn’t bring myself to try a horse meat because I own horses and they are my friends.
