a fun (i think) trivia about tokay gecko: tokay is native in my country and usually lives in houses like common house gecko, and tokay have this famous mating call right? but in my country, it is believed that if tokay mating call certain times (i forgot how many) then it indicates that there is a ghost that living in that house too.

I think it's amazing that you respect the animals that possibly would have a better life in the wild enough to leave them there. I am all for exotic animals and reptiles (heck I have quite a few and a huge list of animals I would love to own) but I do believe that some of them should remain in the wild so the fact that you respect them and love them enough to leave them there is really amazing because I know of some RU-vidrs that own exotic animals that really should stay in the wild. Anyways, thanks for that and I think your an amazing RU-vidr :)

I relate so so much to the concept of having animals that calm you. I absolutely adore my crestie for that very reason, as he moves so slow. How did you deal with how jumpy and fast hatchling cresties/gargs are?I just got my first baby and I’m still getting used to his fast movements. I swear the only time I can get close is when I’m feeding him Pangea 😂

I had a Tokay gecko once. Got it from Petco when I was first getting into the reptile hobby. I got it because it was absolutely stunning. I had no idea about their...temper issues. Surprise, surprise. It worked out tho because my bf and I liked the challenge. We had that dude tamed in no time. We could literally flip him over and put him to sleep by rubbing his belly. I mean seeing him like that after knowing how vocal (it’s like he would “bark” at us) and nippy he could be...well it was a cool feeling. Miss that little dude.

i adopted a baby corn snake and had her for about 5 months. she gave me issues from day 1 she would never eat and i took her to the vet many times with no success. she had eventually passed one day and i think it was just genetics & irresponsible breeding. i was scared to get another corn after that because it just made me so sad to think about her but seeing Bloom has made me open up to getting another one sometime!

I’m so sorry to hear about your corn, it always really sucks when a pet dies. If you ever do feel ready to take on another I really encourage you to get one! I have a male veiled chameleon named Bowie, a female panther chameleon named Rizzo and a male rainbow Jackson’s named Tito. I have to say they are all so different. The way they hunt, the way they bask, the way they behave. It’s so fun to interact with all these different species of chameleons. I also have two false Cuban chameleons named Groot and Grimoire who live together in a very huge bio active enclosure. I would highly recommend them as a pet for intermediate to advanced keepers. I saw someone else already mention Garrett from Reach out Reptiles for information on dwarf and super dwarf retics. They get about the same size as boa constrictors. The superdwarves are actually smaller by weight than boas of the same length because they're thinner. I hope to have one myself to compare someday!

I’ve been watching your videos a lot lately for the chameleon info, but your love for Banba is definitely why I subscribed. I know he’s no longer with you, but your love for him was/is so wonderful. Your entire demeanor changed when you mentioned him in this video - you just lit up (I actually teared up. I might be biased, but I had a veiled cham in the past so I totally get where you were coming from). Banba was a one and only chameleon. Banba was baby and there will never be another. And not that you would ever try to replace him! I was just wondering if you might see yourself keeping another veiled cham in the future?

I want a cat gecko so badly, number one on my dream list! As soon as I find a captive bred one, I will get one. The one that kills me to say I will never have is an iguana, they’re one of my favorite animals and I wish they were easier to keep. This video was a lot of fun to watch! Aside from rat snakes, I was on board for all of it. Rat snakes are sooo feisty but nothing beats their personality. They were a long time dream of mine and now I’ll never be with out one! If you ever want to talk boas and regain some confidence with them, feel free to message me on Insta or wherever. It sounds like Vendetta had a serious neurological defect, but that's not common at all (likely something that could occur in any animal). Maybe the breeder had an accident with it as a baby and didn't tell you, something as simple as a head being pinched in a bin being closed, who knows. Considering they didn't even know what morphs were present it wouldn't surprise me. Most boa morphs are very healthy, and I'm very confident in the lines I've been working with for the last ten years. I keep dwarf boas - males stay about the size of a ball python, females a bit bigger. Anyway, it was fun to hear your thoughts on these different reptiles! I hope someday you're able to have a big house with an amazing caiman lizard paludarium - what a dream!

My hatchling gargoyle gecko is way faster and less handleable (still handleable but less than the eurodactaloydes.) I adopted him a few months ago so I don’t know what he was like previously but surprisingly less of a display pet than I expected! The animals that I won't ever EVER keep are small lizards, and this includes all of them skinks, anoles, especially geckos! I am freaking terrified of them! I think I have a phobia I just don't like them, I am more terrified of a house gecko than a spider tbh. Things I'd keep: Emerald Tree Skink, what USA calls a "Schneider's skink" (eumeces schneiderii), or a Russian Ratsnake. Things I'd never keep: ball python, kenyan sand boa, and a sunbeam snake.

Want to get: Panther Chameleon Chewie Leachie Gargoyle Western Hognose (Lavender or Toxic) Corn Snake (Lavender Motley) Sand Boa (Snow) Pink Tongue Skink Male BCI or Dumerils Boa Terrapin Turtle African Fat Tail (whiteout or oreo) Bonus-All tropical arboreal geckos (Basically opposite of her want list 🤣) Either love but not reasonable to keep, or don't want: Large pythons (Burmese, retic, etc.) Monitors Large turtles and tortoises Iguanas Aggressive larger snakes and lizards (short tail pythons, etc.; a snippy hognose or tokay doesn't worry me, only aggression in animals that would be dangerous) Dangerously venomous reptiles Most likely, any larger lizards, even calmer ones like Tegus, unless I am blessed with my dream farm one day!

Get a bci. Normal wild type locality. That is the only boa I keep and they are avsolutely wonderful. Never had issues with them and completely underrated. If I could have only one reptile that would be the common boa the boa imperator.

Something I would love to keep: Angolan Python!! I hear they're very much like Ball Pythons but I've heard they are more active and have more personality. Something I wouldn't keep: Rat snake (though I really wish I could) the reason why: they musk and the smell stays on you for a day or 2 no matter how much you wash. But they really are beautiful snakes and very intelligent! I wish they didn't musk 💔 My first snake was a Kenyan Sand Boa and it sadly passed 😔 He was so precious 😢 And I'm forever grateful that he helped me overcome my fear of snakes. My daughter named him Blinky 🐍

I've got a veiled chameleon I need to re home. He is amazing and has a perfect enclosure. Reason I need to re home is that I need to spend time away with aging family and don't have anyone near who can help take care of him. I'm in Southwest FL and wondering if you have any ideas on how to find someone who can take care of him? I'm like you and give him everything. When you see his enclosure you will see my point. So SAD, and I need to find someone qualified such as yourself.

I would call reptile shops you trust or you can try Craigslist and interviewed people until you find someone that you will trust can take good care of him. I wish you the best of luck and I hope he finds a good home again. 💕

What I would never get. I will never get another gold tegu. I had him for 3 years and he was a pain the ass. But it still broke my heart that he passed this year in January. I may get a different type of monitor lizard someday but not a Colombian gold tegu I’m not going for that again
