I love your channel and have followed you for quite a few years. I started when you were doing paint pouring. I was new to RU-vid and I loved your colors. I can’t say exactly how many years. It might be 8 years more or less. In one of your videos you took us from your home to work. Mainly you showed us what you see outside on your way to work. It was great.
You say you are not one to stay with one thing, but by trying everything you can, you just may stumble on to your forever reason to create. Or, this is your forever reason, to try at all. Whatever, just have a good time and you will make beauty wherever you go. Literally!
I’m all over the place with art, too, but it’s fun to do different things. You are so talented in various mediums. Maybe focus on one for a bit, but please don’t stop experimenting and sharing. Love all you do.
You are all over the place because you are super creative. In this video alone, you’ve given us a multitude of ideas! You go girl, we’ll follow. 🤗👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🎨
This is fantastic Annemarie! I love being all over the place. Sometimes you can incorporate a lot of your study methods into one piece! Or not! Picasso sort of did that yeah? More into periods I guess but also style. Maybe you’re heading towards creating fictional flowers and sea creatures because you love the beach so much! You really make some awesome ones especially those with the pours and watercolours. Looking forward to the vases again!! I’ve got to try out those pilot parallel pens! That last pattern you made gave me a whole bunch of ideas for embellishments on a contemporary piece. Oh boy! So glad you’re back in your saddle again luv but don’t set your new place on fire lolol!! Big hugs,Deb
I love this collection of creative restlessness! ❤ I think it's wonderful that you're all over the place. I doubt I could commit to one style or medium. No sense of adventure in it maybe 🤷♀️ And I'm fascinated that you kept saying you don't like flowers but when you talked about the possibilities of some pieces, that's right where you went 😄 It's kind of wacky in the very best way! Hope your new year is off to an amazing start 💕
To "gently" burn paper, try a wood burning tool. A cheap one will do because the good ones REALLY get hot..lol Thank you for all the great ideas .. Some inspiration for every rabbit trail I follow..lol I totally understand the need to try different ways to get the art piece you want.. Even more fun when playing around and combining more than one and be happy with the combination...
Happy New Year AnneMarie hope you had a good break. Loved all the watercolour work. The one with the tree stencil, reminded me a little bit of ‘negative painting’ - but with an AnneMarie twist 😊. It’s frustrating when you have lots of ideas and don’t know where to land. I set myself a 100 day A5 challenge for my an abstract work, recently - it was a little too long but I learnt a lot, and will try a much smaller one this year.
Hi Annemarie - I went to the Vallejo website and the following was posted with the liquid watercolor line: "The range of colors has been selected for its intensity and tinting strength, but no dye has the degree of light fastness of pigments, and painted surfaces should not be exposed to direct sunlight for any length of time without a prior protection of Acrylic Varnish or Mediums - all colors can also be mixed and combined with these Mediums. Liquid Watercolor conforms to the European Security Regulations and Environmental Standards of the REACH Protocol."
Thanks so much Annemarie, I think the crab is beautiful and I downloaded the paper.I love what you do, it's good that you have so many different ideas that you want to do and great for us too. Happy new year, love ❤❤❤
So much fun to see your mind working in its wonderful ways! Thank you for sharing -- you do the work for us of finding what works and what doesn't; that's very helpful. It looks like you're having fun, and isn't that the point?! Keep it up :)
The turquoise one with negative painting will be beautiful. The is an artist the makes backgrounds and then pick different shapes to do negative painting. She is over the top in terms of experimenting. Her name is Gerda Lipski. I have to check the spelling. I’ll let you know if it is different. She is on RU-vid. Her work is not for everybody’s taste. But, the ideas are interesting and you can do it your own way. I can see techniques from different famous artist which she interprets in har own style in her work. She also incorporates current trends in art.
Thank you for this … honestly… same issues for me … i resolved to watercolors too… im sticking with that … but … that parallel pen with the bleeding would make for some awesome birch trees … even in an abstract fashion … love you to pieces ❤ please share often ❣️
Looks like fun. The Vallejo watercolor looks like gouache. The colors are beautiful. I have heard that gouache isn't Lightfoot. When you do the experiment it would be great to have both one without the wax over it and one with the wax. Also different time periods.
Schön von dir zu hören. Sehr interessant und cool. Es gibt die Firma Aquarylic, vielleicht ist das interessant für dich, kannst ja mal auf ihrer Seite schauen. Sie haben eine flüssige Farbe entwickelt. L. G. Barbara
Metallic watercolor paints have come a very long way. Some of the watercolor metallic paints are rich colors and quite beautiful. Some are true color change. You need to look for the hand made small shops. The brand names are not as good.
