Hey ,Tyler liked the video. I'm new to slug loading bought the bpi slug manual got some dgs slugs I'm curious bpi gives same data for 3inch hull and 2/3/4 hull how can this be ? Both roll crimped. So I tried 3 Inc first finished length was 1/8 longer than 3 inch fold crimped shell The 2/3/4 was same size as 3 inch fold crimped shell. Any knowledge shared would be appreciated.
Hull length isn’t absolutely critical when it comes to roll crimping. A 3” fold crimped shell will generally be the same length as a roll crimped 2 3/4” shell. The data might be calling for that load to be rolled in a 2 3/4” and folded in a 3”.
Not horrible I suppose but I’ve seen way better. I lightened the trigger down to like 2 pounds and figured out how to stabilize the gun better so the fury slugs tomorrow should do great.
@@theshotgunscientists For slugs with attached wads, you may have a little tighter groups with smooth bore. Because if the wad isn't perfectly square, straight, and aligned with slug when it exits the barrel every time, then the spin imparted can cause it to go wonky. Instead of flying straight while spinning (like a rifle bullet), the wad-part of the projectile can wobble or make larger spiral patterns (like throwing a bad football), throwing the slug off. Tauflatermouse has some videos that show this. My experience has also shown that, usually, rifled barrels do better with slugs that don't have the wad attached. Keep up the good work guys, love the new channel name!
@@obbyjep7597 yeah I realized that I wasn't being inClusive by just singling out the socialist. This is the age of inClusiveNess and all, and I didn't want to leave any government organizations out.
@@mattkissmyasstyrants8676 hahaha, right on. In our parts voting on a politician has been likened the opening the lid on the septic tank and choosing a turd
@@theshotgunscientists you are the shotgun scientists! At least make up a cool story. 😀 A quick online search tells me that they are named after the Paradox black powder load from Africa. Could be a cool video for you to make, "the origin of the Paradox slug"
