Awesome discussion! I always liked how the Transmetal 2 were this weird mix of both the techno and organic. Also i wish as a kid I had gotten a Optimal Optimus. Hopefully they remake that one in Legacy!

I thought i was always kinda crazy when almost all of Transmetals 2 had the ability to have extra limbs. I had Sonar, Optimus Minor and several others who just were able to have their arms be used as extra limbs or weapons.

Such a great sharing! 🤩 While G1 was often perceived as 'two toys for the price of one', Beast Wars always felt like 'one action figure that becomes another action figure'. (And those with 'mutant' abilities added an extra layer to that!) Thank you for adding colour to our nostalgia & helping to enrich our lives!

I wish you'd talked about TM2 Megs strange dragon neck gimmick. I can see what they were trying to do, but they really should've just gone with a poseable neck like TM Megs' tail.

I love the Transmetals 2 for their techno organic look, they are very cool figures. The Spark Crystals are a great feature too. Shocking to know Kenner struggled with the development of Optimal Optimus in 1998 though, he’s one of the best and most iconic Beast Wars figures.

The plastic quality was really high during that era of beast wars, and the Transmetal details were well done. I was at Botcon ‘97 when they revealed Transmetal cheetor. It was fun. Everyone was in awe, lol. I actually hated the toys once I got them in hand. In the package they looked great though!
