I have vaginismus and it makes me feel so unworthy for some reason. It makes me sad. I can’t even insert the smallest thing without it hurting so bad. So that is why I’m here now. :(
You are not alone in this ❤️ You are worthy ❤️ and you can get past this. Are you working with a pelvic floor physio? I have an 8 week course that offers some structured exercises that can help, best combined with physiotherapy and some counseling. Its so important to deal with it now, you will get past it 🌸
@@TheFlowerEmpowered I doubt if I have Vaginismus. I didn't let the gyneo examine. She asked me to relax a lot. We are having trouble penetrating. Not even once.. It's going to be 6years of marriage life. Finding it difficult to handle. Would you share details about your 8weeks course? How can I enroll?
I had the exact same thing, where trying to insert anything at all hurt so much. I was certain I would never be able to have sex, but with lots of practice and trust in my body and my partner I'm now able to, so you will too, no matter how long it takes. it feels absolutely impossible for a long time, I know, but I promise quick improvement can and will happen ❤️❤️
These exercises are the best..i did it 3 weeks consistently and vaginismus is gone..a supportive partner is important as well..thank you soo much..❤❤❤❤❤
Im suffering from Vaginismus and I have recently started doing the exercises from this video daily. It has definitely helped me with dilating and my vaginismus. Since it's only 12 minutes, it is so easy to incorporate into the daily routine. It's perfect. Thank you so much for these videos ♥

I have been suffering from vaginismus for more than 2 years.Following all my doctor's suggestions and these exercises, i was able to finger myself.Thank you somuch🙏🏻. Thank you ❤ for being a good help in my vaginismus journey to healing.Keep supporting many women to break the shell of vaginismus.
Thank you so much for this. Sex had become very painful for me. Almost unbearable. I did this for a week 1/2 - problem solved! I will continue this as a daily practice ❤
Hey, I I'm also facing same problem whenever my boyfriend tries to insert his penis it cannot go inside me, it feels like a wall is there and also I've lost my virginity too but now It cannot go inside me, can you suggest something
@@nishthaverma2261Hey, I'm facing the same issue from the past 7 years. I recently discovered vaginusmus is a thing. Have you consulted any doctor though? All my the information I have is from the internet. If yes, how'd it go? Did they suggest something?
I’m experiencing the same thing😭 I can’t insert tampons and I can’t do anything with my boyfriend. I’m thinking it’s vaginismus. I’m glad you’ve had luck with these exercises, I’m going to practice daily and see what happens
I really thought I was the only one who struggles inserting literally ANYTHING and experiences nothing but pain. I didn't mind not being able to insert a tampon but I can't even insert a single finger. Thankfully the man I was with during my first time was completely understanding but I was still in so much pain. Thank you 🥺 I’m so glad that I found your channel and these follow along videos. Whenever I stop using dilators my vaginismus always comes back and it’s very frustrating. I don’t want to have to always use the dilator daily but I’m happy to do stretches everyday instead. So thank you 💕❤️
Only with these exercises and Without the dilators you're okay? I also have vaginismus and I would like to know if it actually helps and if you've had improvements. Thanks
loveee this video. it's easy to follow, not annoying, the color scheme/timer is visually pleasing. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I think it's ACTUALLY HELPING my vaginismus! I had my best day with dilators after doing these stretches combined with breathing exercises and other informative content. Thanks a lot ♥
Thank you so much for this video. I have been doing these exercises multiple times a week. Your videos were recommended to me by my physiotherapist. I have suffered from undiagnosed Vaginismus since I was a teenager. I have finally got a diagnosis and support. I have seen a great improvement and your videos have contributed greatly. It is so comforting to know I'm not alone and there is effective treatment out there.
Thanks for your kind comments. Consistency with these exercises really make a difference, combined with your physiotherapy and the support of the Vaginismus community. Wishing you luck with your recovery 😊🌸
This video was great. I loved the timing system with the beeps, as well as the varieties of poses and that no props were needed. This video will be my new go-to! Thank you for what you do and for sharing your expertise freely. May God bless you for your kindness!

I have diastasis recti and pelvic pain for 16 months. Your videos helped a lot. I like how you collate all the best exercises. Thank you! Best one so far!
Sorry to hear you have diastasis recti and pain. I’m so glad to hear that the exercises are helping and that you’ve enjoyed this video 😊🌸 Good luck with your recovery 🍀
This does help i continuously did this exercise for 6 months and helped me a lot to relax my body and with physical intimacy. I definitely recommend this
A suggestion: I think it would be better to have your voices in the video telling us how to relax and how to breathe. This way we wouldn't have to look at the screen all the time. The beep sounds are a bit stressing for me too and maybe to other people as well. Keep up with the good work!
Thanks for the great feedback! I actually made this style of video in response to feedback from another subscriber who wanted me not to talk in the video and to have the beeps to let them know when to come out of the poses! It’s actually a lot more work to create this style of video versus my usual style where I talk so I am glad to hear you like the other style. Most of the videos in the pelvic floor relaxation playlist have me talking with soft music and no beeps. If you haven’t already, try one of those and tell me if it works better for you 😊🌸
So, I started this today. I also have serious pain while any insertion, specially menstrual cup. I researched about this and then I realised even inserting a finger is painful for me. I am sexually inactive so I never realised this but I am working on it because I really want to use menstrual cup. Will update when I see results. Love the video though.

@@mv4242hi! So I started doing them at night before going to bed. I usually do the exercises once every day but if I have time I might do it two times a day
(I’m sorry in advance if this comes off a bit insensitive or ignorant) as someone that’s been suffering with Vaginismus for a few years now, I don’t understand how stretches or exercises can help cure it. I could be trying these exercises, but when it comes down to having sex, how will these stretches have changed me so much that I won’t be in pain anymore?
This is actually a brilliant question! The pelvic floor is the base of the pelvis. The pelvis is a bone structure that has joints that don’t move very much (usually just millimeters). Vaginismus is a condition of hypertonicity (when the pelvic floor muscles are involuntarily contracted). Your pelvic floor muscles and the connective tissues that surround them are very difficult to stretch because of the limited movement of the hip bones, however, the obturator internis and the piriformis, which are connected to the pelvic floor, cross the hip connecting to the top of your femur (greater trochanter). They basically strap your pelvic floor to your legs. When you move your legs in these different positions, you are stretching the pelvic floor muscles, helping the release the tension (hupertonicity). We hold the poses for slightly longer to give an opportunity to relax into the stretch for a release. It can be even more effective to stay longer in the poses - this is why in many of the pelvic floor relaxation videos on the channel, the poses are helped for 3 to 5 minutes. For some, just exercises are enough to resolve their vaginismus. For others, they need to add in other therapies. I have written an article talking more about this which you can read here: theflowerempowered.com/2020/12/17/5-steps-to-overcome-vaginismus/ You can also read vaginismus here: theflowerempowered.com/knowledge-portal/sexual-dysfunction/vaginismus/ Let me know if that answers your question 🌸😊

Yep I had to have a vaginoplasty to open things up as I hadn't had sex at all and I was 35 when it finally did happen a few years after vaginoplasty. I recommend getting it done healing time wasn't bad although I split 2 stitches due to my other health issues.
This will help, but you will likely need to do more. I've written an article with some suggestions. You can read it here: theflowerempowered.com/2020/12/17/5-steps-to-overcome-vaginismus/

I didn't know what was wrong untill few minutes ago when this video just poped up about this condition and it felt so good to finally know what's wrong but at the same time i am overwhelmed to know it is the reason one could not conceive. Please pray for me
I’m so sorry to hear of your struggles. Can you get an appointment with a pelvic floor physiotherapist? It’s important to get a formal diagnosis rather than to self diagnose. You can read more about vaginismus and some of the steps you can take which will help with painful sex even if you don’t have vaginismus: theflowerempowered.com/2020/12/17/5-steps-to-overcome-vaginismus/ but I can’t stress enough the importance of speaking with your doctor or physiotherapist 🌸
It’s not possible to say- you really need to get checked by doctor and physio in order to know what is contributing to your issue, but your chances may improve when you are pain free as your nervous system is likely on high stress with the given situation.
Starting today! I don't know what I have! I've been to the gynecologist many times and I'm always treated like shit "oh the pain is normal" "you're just scared" and the last consultation "you have vaginimism" but they didn't recommend anything, it's very sad because here in Portugal it's expensive to go I went to the gynecologist and I never found one who cared about me. I have pain during intercourse, pain during my cycle, low libido, I can´t empty my bladder, every time I have an exam at the gynecologist I suffer a lot of pain :C Did this exercise today for the first time, I feel so relax and it's very easy to do on my daily routine! Going to do everyday for one month and I will tell you feedback! Thanks for the good work and helping many people! I suspect I have a hipertonic pelvic floor
I encountered this video more than a year ago. I was diagnosed with vulvadynia and I felt so alone with my condition. Every evening I was observing a sunset 🌅 plunging my room into darkness where I was alone with my pain which would not be relieved by anything at all. I was looking forward to these stretches every evening. Looking back now I feel this malady has transformed me from the inside out, it turned me into a stronger and more resilient person. Having recovered, I have occasional mild flare ups from time to time. I just recently remembered about these wonderful stretches again. Coming back here feels so nice! I absolutely love the music, stretches, timer and the instructor !! When I was so alone in the whole world, you gave me hope and courage to persevere and I managed to recover. Thank you million times ❤

I hear you!! We have become so accustomed to sitting in chairs that most of us lose the range of motion to do a full squat. Thankfully, the body adapts based on what we ask it to do, so if you work on some gentler versions of squat (such as wall squats), that can help a lot with restoring range of motion around ankles, knees and hips to allow a comfortable squat 😊🌸

not even gonna lie it’s been taking me like 2 years but that’s just because i haven’t been consistent with it wasn’t using dilators so do these work outs every day and use dilators every day for 20-30 min you’ll see progress i promise u
also Diaphragmatic breathing and self talk with urself such as “i’m healing” “i’m not broken” before u use a dilator imagine it going in u so easily so effortlessly with no pain to calm ur nervous system down
It will help to relax your pelvic floor which should make initial penetration easier. Bear in mind, it is normal for there to be some pain in the first times (up to 30) that you try. It’s important that you feel safe and comfortable and don’t rush. Clitoral stimulation and lubrication can help.
Does pelvic floor muscle cause burning AND irritation in the entrance of the vagina? Does it get worse of you sit in a certain way, Hard surfaces or long periods? Please help and thank you
The pelvic floor can contribute to these symptoms, but it can also be other things such as vulvodynia, vestibulodynia, or an infection of some sort. It’s best to be checked by a doctor or gynecologist. With these conditions, pelvic floor relaxation exercises can help, and it can be good to have your pelvic floor checked by a pelvic floor physical therapist.
It depends on the cause of the issues. With cystitis, exercises can sometimes create further irritation so you will may need to rest. Very important ti go to your doctor and get assessed to see what is triggering the issues as it’s not always a pelvic floor problem. This exercise sequence is specifically to help with gentle relaxation of the pelvic floor 🌸
@@TheFlowerEmpowered thank you for you answer. I am from Bulgariq. I have visited a lot of specialist - gynecologists анд urologists. I`ve made a different tests and they told me I am healthy. So I`ve started my own research and this is how I found your videos. I am all day in chair and may be this is also a reason. I think I have a form of vaginismus also. I`ve started your exercises and I found that my legs muscules are very tigh.

I have a neurogenic bladder, and my gyne suggested for Vaginal dialation also , the movement I get sexual thoughts and see romantic scenes in movies I feel urge to pee and can't stop and leaks in the place where I am . Can these pelvic exercise help prevent embarrassing situations
There have been multiple small scale studies into using yoga as a treatment for neurogenic bladder (most related to MS) and all (that I have read) suggest that has a positive effect in combination with other treatments, like those suggested by your gyne. It can be helpful to learn to both contract and relax the pelvic floor to be able to manage those embarrassing situations. I had a similar issue when working to overcome my own incontinence. When I improved from being severely incontinent to mildly incontinent, I found that sexual thoughts or situations would cause me to leak. It wasn’t a complete emptying like I had but more a few skeets. It feel as though the signaling between my clitoris and my urethral sphincter were mixed up. At that stage, the only other incontinence symptom was mild stress incontinence. As I worked to overcome stress incontinence, I stopped trying to do big pelvic floor squeezes to prevent leakage to instead doing a very gentle squeeze of just the front part. I use an analogy for this in my book… where you imaging pinching a balloon with your fingers rather than trying to hold the balloon closed with your fist (when you think of the strength of contraction needed to maintain continence). That helped me to overcome the last of the incontinence and also to notice how continence actually feels (it’s very subtle). I started using a technique I call “remembering continence” any time I felt that leaky sensation and I was able to start replacing the sensation. The issue with the leaky sensation went away for me around the same time. With all of that said, I didn’t have neurogenic bladder, so I can say that those same techniques will work for you, but it might be worth a try. You could discuss this approach with your gyne. Let me know if that all makes sense. Typed this on my iPhone so sorry if it’s full of typos!!
@@TheFlowerEmpowered Thank a lot . Ur suggestions matters a lot . I will thoroughly research on the techniques and pelvic exercises suggested by you . so that I can lead my life confidently . Thankyou for your reply

Yes, this will relieve tight pelvic floor muscles. There are also a lot of other videos in the pelvic floor relaxation playlist on the channel that can help. You will likely find a few poses that work really well for you and if you practice them daily, it will make a big difference 😊
The exercises help with pelvic gloomy relaxation, which can make it easier to dilate. It very much depends on what is triggering the hypertonicity. For example, if tension on your low back or glutes are contributing to pelvic floor hypertonicity then you may see very fast results. You can read more on vaginismus and dilation in this article: theflowerempowered.com/2020/12/17/5-steps-to-overcome-vaginismus/
Great questions. Hypertonic pelvic floor is tightness of the pelvic floor. Vaginismus is an involuntary contraction in response to attempted penetration - not the same as hypertonicity but you can have vaginismus and hypertonicity. Vulvodynia means pain around the vulva. Vulva meaning external portion of the female genitals and dynia meaning pain. Vestibulodynia is pain in the vestibule (part of the glands of the vulva). You can read more on these conditions on my website: theflowerempowered.com/knowledge-portal/pelvic-floor-dysfunction/
Yes! It’s a gentle practice and I created it with vaginismus and pelvic floor hypertonicity in mind, so it should be helpful to practice before dilation 😊🌸

Generally in Yoga, we inhale up and exhale down. It's a little less relevant in this style of gentle yoga. You should move gently, listening to your body and breathing calmly in a way that feels good for you. Hope that helps!
Ok, it should help. You can also do some other things, I wrote an article with some suggestions: theflowerempowered.com/2020/12/17/5-steps-to-overcome-vaginismus/ Let me know how you get on 🌸

I ended up getting an IUD a couple months ago but ended up getting it under sedation due to how painful it was for me to insert even a finger or a tampon. Once I woke up from the procedure my gyne told me I REACTED WHILE UNDER! my body twitched when he tried to use the speculum and I have zero memory of it. He then diagnosed me with this and I’ve just been even more embarrassed since finding out since I can’t do simple things lot of other women can do with no problem, like inserting a tampon or even just putting a finger up there. I went to my regular doctor a couple weeks ago for a string check and couldn’t even get her to stick a finger in there with out pain. I was so embarrassed and she asked if I wanted to be referred to pelvic floor therapy but I felt since I’m so young and haven’t even been in an intimate relationship I didn’t need it. But over the past weeks I’ve just been dwindling on what if I needed my iud instantly removed? What am I gonna do when it needs to be removed? What am I gonna do IF I end up in an intimate relationship? So I of course went to RU-vid LOL. I’m hoping to try these out and hopefully be able to at least get a pelvic exam done. I’m also hoping if I start to get results my anxiety about anything being inserted will go down a lot allowing me to actually be successful in the first place. Sorry for the rant I’m just stuck in this huge thought and needed to let it out.
It’s not unusual for muscles to contract during surgery. This is why generally they use muscle relaxants in order to prevent the contactions during surgery. However, as your procedure was simply for fitting an IUD and you weren’t yet diagnosed with vaginismus, they wouldn’t have expected to need muscle relaxants to block involuntary contractions. (Vaginismus is a condition of involuntary contractions). Pelvic floor physiotherapy should help a lot, especially given that the contraction of the pelvic floor is also impacted by other muscles so you likely have an imbalance in other muscles that contributes to the vaginismus response. A good pelvic floor physio won’t just look at your pelvic floor but will asses your body for contributing factors. These kinds of exercises can also help a lot as they focus not just on the pelvic floor but also on other muscle groups that contribute. You will likely also need to do dilation, and to some therapy to work on the fear aspect of the condition. You can read a little more in this article: theflowerempowered.com/2020/12/17/5-steps-to-overcome-vaginismus/
Hi, I've undiagnosed pelvic floor dysfunction and it's extremely difficult to insert a finger. It pains and leaves a burning sensation. It has been a week or two doing a bunch of your exercise videos. I hope to progress faster. Reading all these comments really helps and I'm glad that I'm not alone here. I'd love to have more tips with how I can progress further.
Generally these types of exercises are a tool in your toolkit when working to overcome vaginismus, but other treatments can help to speed the process. I’ve written a short article about it here: theflowerempowered.com/2020/12/17/5-steps-to-overcome-vaginismus/
I just found out about vaginismus about a minute ago. I don't have it, but was curious. Does taking Magnesium and Potassium help the way they help with leg and back spasms?
Sorry to hear you are having hip pain. This exercises should be helpful, just make sure to listen to your body and don't push or pull in the poses. Let me. know if it helps 😊🌸
Hello, i'm currently incorporating these relaxation steps on a daily basis (if not, on alternate days). This may sound a lil weird (sorry), but is it normal to "fart" after these workouts cos this happened for me. Is that in any way a sign that my pelvic muscles relaxing?😅 Also do you have any case study of succesful cases where they can have penetrative sex and how soon after these exercises?
Thats not a strange question at all! The positions can stimulate movement within the abdominal space, which can lead to the release of gas from the rectum or in some cases air from the vaginal passage. The air can get drawn in to the vagina in some positions (just physics!). Some people get very fast results from these exercises - which you will see if you read through the comments. For some, dilation and other practices are needed. I do have a course for overcoming vaginismus and have recently received a message to say that pain free sex was achieved after just 3 weeks of practice. Each body is different so it’s best to work with your own body, listen to your body and stay consistent 🌸😊
hello ur videos are so helpful thank u sm i’ve made sm progress however i do have one question so basically i can have sex and use sex toys that penetrate but i don’t feel the g spot pleasure unless theres clit stimulation is there a way to fix that? like i wanna be able to feel the g spot pleasure even if there’s no clit stimulation
This is a great question, and actually, there is little scientific evidence that the g-spot actually exists. The clitoris is the equivalent of the head of the penis - it’s where all the nerves are. There are only a small percentage of women who feel internal pleasure without clitoral stimulation. With clitoral stimulation, penetration tends to be more pleasurable and the chances of having an “internal” orgasm are definitely increased, but orgasm with penetration or internal stimulation without external stimulation of the clitoris is not common. Hope that helps!
sorry i’m replying sm i just have so many questions i was wondering if u could answer this one idk if u know the answer or if anyone else knows the answer please feel free to reply to my comment anyway, so like with dilators should i use them in like other sex positions to “train my pelvic floor” cus i saw that online idk if it’s true like one with laying on ur side or back with the dilator and any other positions ? i’m just wondering cus i’m not rlly sure
Yes, varying positions for dilation is helpful. In my course,, I teach multiple different positions and techniques for dilation, as well as other exercises to help the pelvic floor to relax to support dilating in that position:
I just got diagnosed with vaginismus yesterday and its so degradding because mine messes with my bladder so much to the point i dont get ques that i need to use the washroom and i almost wet myself or i cant fully relieve myself. Its verh degrading so im going to start doing these exercises today and hopefully itll help as i csnt afford pelvic physotherapy.
How has it been going with the exercises? You can read some more tips here: theflowerempowered.com/2020/12/17/5-steps-to-overcome-vaginismus/ and watch this series to learn a little more about bladder function: ru-vid.com/group/PLTrM-0Yl3PcvCkTPfiKhFjN6yy9ZZhWDX&si=1mr7taJneJ1Ssttx
İ have a vaginismus and my partner said in anger that should İ teach you everytime the position of sex ? İ said oh , it's a bad behavior and continued in anger that learn then ! İt was soo painful & İ said let's stop and he didn't pay any attention to me and he kept fuc king me , after sex he said in anger that your tolerance for pain is so low , İ said don't talk to me like that and he said in anger that it's on my nerves !
If the pain is being caused by pelvic floor hypertonicity, this should help. It’s really important to get checked though, to make sure there isn’t anything sinister going on. Also, if you can see a pelvic floor physiotherapist, they may be able to do some manual therapy to help.
@@samreentaj7102 these can help. I’m launching a course on 18th March for Overcoming Vaginismus. It’s on presale at the minute for 50 USD (excluding taxes). If you jump over to theflowerempowered.com you can find out more
my friend sent me this while i was dealing with a chronic uti/cystitis flare and oh my goodness the relief is amazing. my pain isnt 100% gone but i feel more relaxed and the pain is definitely more mellow!
You should go to a pelvic floor physiotherapist for an assessment. Pain is indicative that there may be some excess tension in the area but it’s impossible to say exactly what the cause without a physical exam. Let me know how you get on 🌸
