I worked nightshift the entire time stationed there. F15s are the reason I did not sleep for years. Best assignment I ever had....32nd TFS. Goede tijden!
Sorry for my late reaction! Good to hear your passion! I miss those days. Last weeks I'm walking at the airfield and still hear the planes :) Photo's at my instagram, search for @32ndwolfhounds
This is where I met my British wife in May 1981 and whose I account I'm using. We are still together after all these years and we both think it was our best assignment in my 20 years in the Air Force. I worked as a F-15 Crew Chief and on Zulu alert for about 7 months. Loved the area and the Dutch were awesome!
Sorry for my late reaction! Nice to hear that you worked there. I still miss the F15's today. After the AB was closed we bought a house in the former American neighbourhood (Gemini). Nowadays the AB is open for public and we can walk on the landing strip and walk to the shelters. It gives me a special feeling to walk there and I love it. On my instagram (32ndwolfhounds) you'll find photo's from the good old days :) If you have some pictures that I may post on my instagram please let me know. Kind Regards, Martijn
