If you have the timing turned up on a 12 valve they don't like the cold. I have a stockish dump truck that's starts no problems and a modded pickup that has to be plugged in and once it starts there is a ton of smoke and it won't idle on its own until it has some heat in it.
@Daryl Lawson Cummins Diesels have block heaters on the left bottom side or in the middle can't remember but there is a plug in for a drop cord to where you plug into the heater
Ladies and gentlemen!!!….. we have a (cough cough cough) … Winner……( cough cough cough cough )…… Where’d he go I can’t see him…… (cough cough cough cough)…..OMG…….(cough cough cough) … Winner……( cough cough cough cough )……( man gagging in background)…..( women screaming in the distance ) …….(babies crying….) ……man with extremely hoarse voice: “ ladies and gentlemen the winner of this year‘s coldstart Smokeout competition!!!! Man hands over trophy and takes off running. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
what battery are you running... couldnt crank that long on both of mine if they just had a fresh charge and had abooster pack helping them.. 2 year old oreilly or carquest golds idk i didnt buy them
@@EARL1996able I've also noticed the long cranks and only on 1 battery. Impressive! My 06 with 2 intestate doesn't last that long either in warm California weather. Just checked on walmart and they're going for $88.76 each. Not bad!
@Proud American and that would be because of your pre combination cup that your fuel injector and glow plug sit in. I have a GM 6.5 idi and I never plug it in till it's -10 and still don't then, the truck starts within 3 cranks and clears up before I can get behind the truck. Glow plugs go a long way when they all are working.
