You just popped up in my suggested list. What's funny is I am just starting a video series on converting a newer '72 Ford 2000 with a more modern Lucas 12v electrical gauge cluster to a 12v three wire Delco and Petronix electronic ignition. LOL. You did real good Mike, on this video. Very comprehensive and informative for others for sure !!
I loved this Very good directions. Don't forget to change the condenser to 12v also. I see a lot of people put 6v on them when they tune them up then wonder why they keep going bad.
So if you change the polarity how do you keep the starter from turning in the opposite direction since you are not changing the wiring of the starter. The starter is grounded to the chassis Which is now negative grounded will it not spin the wrong direction
It doesn’t change it. It’s just how the current flows through the battery. Generator equipped engines had positive ground, but the “negative” post was the hot post. The charge is still being placed to the same circuit. It sounds weird and doesn’t quite make sense. It took a lot of researching to understand.
