How many GPM are the spray tips are you using? JRODs and individual tips are available in 2-3, 4, 5-6, and 7-8 GPM. Also if the pump is shutting off its because the internal pressure switch is shutting it off and you are receiving max pressure to nozzle which will give you the longest distance . The pump is basically a marine wash down pump which is usually left on and shuts down at rated pressure (around 60 PSI depending on pump rating) when not in use. Doing my research looking to get into the business. I know pumps, been working in the marine/boating world for 30 plus years.
I know this was two years ago but do you remember if you used reducing bushing on the pump to fit 3/4 to 1/2 or does the North Star pump come with 3/4 standard?
@@rusty.nesvig well see I have a P 40 pump that I couldn’t use with my proportioner because I can’t be of the trigger for more than a minute otherwise, all that pressure that returns starts building and it tends to load the pump too much hopefully I explain it good 😅
I switched to 5.5 rather than 7 because I didn’t see a huge difference in the performance. So you’re saving money with the 5.5 and on top of that in my experience the 5.5 last longer. All the pumps besides the Delevan are built the exact same with the exact parts just a different sticker on top.
What are your thoughts on the 24V? I was wondering how different the 5.5-7-10gpm pumps would be, and you said that you didn't notice much difference between the 5.5 and 7gpm. What would be the difference with the gas powered one? I have a gas powered 5gpm, 5.5hp soft wash with proportioner and was thinking of going to 24V 10gpm to get more distance. Your thoughts between that or had powered? What gpm is your gas powered?
Will it hurt my Remco pump if I keep my battery charger on my battery while I’m washing?? I’m powering the charger off of a predator generator. Will it burn my pump up while using it
@@rusty.nesvig ok I went through 3 pumps in a week and I was wondering if I was burning the pumps up buy running power to the pump constantly from charging and generator power
If you google 2540 (or any size) Meg nozzle you will find a place to order online. I have them locally to me so if you have a pressure wash store close by they should have them.
You mentioned your suction being 1/2”. You should be running no less than a 3/4”. Also, it’s hard to tell in the video, but wiring to battery should be at least 12g.
I have 12g wire and that’s interesting man I originally had 3/4 suction hose on and it wasn’t pulling well at all. It may be that everything is pulling up. You have 200ft of hose ?
