I just got this board recently and I must say, if you are new to the scene, GET ONE!!! I completely agree with his assesment, deck is a bit strange to get used to, but the more I ride mine, the more I get why it's made so curvy. Range is an issue, but if you have the dollars, get the 20 mile battery. Not big on fast chargers due to how it lowers the life cycle of a battery, so for me, I'm ok charging over night. All in all, I believe Meepo has done a suberb job on this V4 and I'm no pro boarder guys/gals, I wanted a belt drive ride, but WOW, this is so quiet compared to belt and it's a serious hill climber if you need it, 1240 watts is nothing to shun on, it's raw power and it truley delivers when you need it to. Very happy with over all style of the board, power, how the remote pairs when interference is an issue, it just works! Meepo, hire me please, lol.

The Meepo V3 was my first esk8 and I loved it so much. I think I actually prefer the meepo esc to Hobbywing (I finally saved up enough to by a Backfire Zealot which I also love for different reasons). It just felt more fluid and intuitive to use. I’m curious to see if the ride on the V4 feels similar to the V3, the only thing I’m not a fan of is the flared deck since the flat V3 deck was super comfy to ride because it didn’t matter exactly how you positioned your feet, but that’s subjective I guess. Btw, I love your channel and your videos inspired me to start my own DIY with a direct drive. Thank you for the all the great builds! Keep it up!
Great Video, been enjoying your videos for the past week now. Quick question, did you have any issues with the ribbon cable under the grip tape. I have one coming in soon and am slightly concerned but not overly concered.
agreed if the 8a charger was included out of the box, it would be a game changer. the ER for 650 USD and additional 100$ USD for the charger puts it above what i think this is worth. Can get a Backfire Zealot S belt drive for that price, which is double range and better performance. all in all is a sweet board, i have high hopes for meepo.
Keep in mind the ER uses Molicels and has more than double the Wh over the standard. Also, you don't have to buy the charger. There is no board anywhere near this price range that comes with an 8a charger.
Ive been thinking of getting an electric board so im glad youtube recommended this video! In your opinion is this a good board to start out with or do you think theres a better one?
Excellent video as always! Do you mind doing me a favor? Can you please open the motor up of the shuffle/remove the sleeve and show me how it looks? I'm currently using the v3 motors on my DIY board and consider but i want to know what they improved compared to the previous motors.
Thanks~ I've tried it. But I think It's made of Loctite. Even if the screw's head was crushed, it didn't come loose. I guess the number of poles of the motor has changed or the thickness of copper wire has changed.

The belt drive ultra has a stronger torque. It is also advantageous in all respects because Ultra uses higher voltage in the battery configuration than the V4
I think it's too much. The discharge rate of the battery and ESC will be greater than the maximum amount of current the motor can use. But if you do that, it will be a super-hub motor e-board.
내구성 괜찮습니다. 발열관리도 괜찮았구요. 좀더 설명을 드리자면 TENKA는 FOCBOX의 엔트리 ESC입니다. 몇몇 외국 유저들이 맥스아웃풋(60A)을 사용했을때 문제가 된다는 글들이 보이는데 아무래도 동양인들보다 체구가 크다보니 있을수 있는 현상같습니다. 그리고 오너가 예전에 문제가 많았던 렙터의 창업자여서 헐뜯으려는 사람도 많은 것 같습니다. 혹시라도 체중이 많이 나가시거나 오프로드 산악용으로 생각하신다면 TENKA보다는 FOCBOX unity+로 가시는 것이 좋을수도 있습니다. 개인적으로는 부드럽고 섬세한아웃풋 작동감도 좋았고 출력도 충분히 강하다고 느꼈습니다. 매우 만족한 제품이였습니다.
@@KAMiJUINs 제가 고속주행 스타일은 아니고 20 30 정도로 낭낭하게 다니는데 모터가 6374에 휠이 120mm 클라우드 휠인데 여기다가 유리섬유 엔클로저 안에 따로 방열 대책이라곤 그냥 써멀패드 정도 붙이고 매립 시킬건데 괜찮을까요? 배터리를 많이 넣어서 장거리 주행해도 열받아서 고장난다거나 하는 경우는 없을까요? 외국 친구들한테 ubox도 추천 받긴 했는데 몸무게도 그렇게 나가는 편도 아니고 도심에서 탈건데 esc에서 돈 아끼고 배터리에 예산 더 투자하는게 이득이거든요 블루투스 모듈만 추가하고 타면 괜창ㅎ겠죠?

Hubs are the future, tesla and so many brands are investing into it. 29mph for 400£, you cant beat that unless u spend £1000 on ugly belt motor board that are loud and sticking out at the back
@@Magpie1701 Clearly your delusional. Have you not heard of many large companiesm oving to hub soon! Tesla, Jaguar, BMW, Merc they are all researching hub motors for future integrations. Idk what drug ur on but go ahead and waffle.
@@Magpie1701 well for skateboards I'd stick to belt and direct but with electric everything else hubs are superior. Belts only have the advantage of changing wheels. Hubs are only okay on skateboards cus the wheels have to be small so they're uncomfortable. Also idk what u mean about future is belt, the first esk8s were electric.
I absolutely love the hubs from AE board.(61.99) and they have the sleeve kind.( Not like the picture). Cheap and powerful. You can use the regular cheap hobbywing esc. I have a meepo v3 ER and I'm disappointed in that. My third ESC went bad again. Ae board has the best hubs. I haven't tried a meepo v4 but I'm sure it's good. The regular hobbywing ESC with AE Hubs is simply awesome! Too fast and smooth and goes up hills no problem! Better than the meepo v3.
Exactly @7:16 in you say it has good turn radius but you cut the following clip short because you wasn’t going to make it. You are probably a paid sponsor and have to say these things despite your video proving other wise. I’ll stick to the backfire brand. Meepo sucks.
