Cobalt blue is a devastating book.So beautifully depicted is the trend of disappearance of communication between members of a family, the trauma of child abuse and its long term effects on the relationships the victims have in the future. I loved it so much. Also an eternal fan of Ghachar Ghochar which I only came to know through Books on Toast and am eternally grateful for, and have also gifted it to my friends. Thank you always for all your recommendations, because it rekindled my hope in Indian authors, which I had given up as lost cause. Also you people smiling and gushing over books makes this all the more interesting to watch

Fun Fact: Mira Nair, Shashi Tharoor and Amitav Ghosh were contemporaries in Delhi and the first two played Antony and Cleopatra.

I had watched this video a month back and got amused by Hulabaloo in the Guava Orchard, post watching the video I picked up that book, and I loved it, what a breezy-vacation read. Thanks Sharin for recommending it.

Pedantic point but is Jhumpa Lahiri Indian? Isn't her work more that of an American of Indian origin than an Indian through and through?
