I love the name Milo but I'm Australian and Milo is the name of a very famous chocolate drink here, so I couldn't do that to a kid. :(

This isn’t really traditional, but more old fashioned- the name Everett is one I really like.

All I think of when I hear Angus is angus beef. that could be why it’s not as popular

I have a cousin called Tom. He’s not Tommy or Thomas, he’s just Tom and it really really suits him. He’s well into adulthood now and it still fits just as well as it did when he was a kid. As for Ned, all I can think of is the Try Guy called Ned or the children’s show that was on Nickelodeon when I was younger called “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide”.

6.5 weeks pregnant with my first little one and binge watching your videos! This one was PERFECT for what I want for a name. Looking for something traditional but not common! I think 100-300 is my comfort zone for name rankings. It’s so hard to know what will suddenly trend and be at the top of the list but I want to try my best to do something not extremely popular. On this list I love Joey! Joseph is my late grandfather’s name and I have two uncles named Joe, one of which married my husband and I. Definitely going to be keeping that one on my short list 💗

Aww, I have a Travis!!! Let me tell you, he is such a little Trav. We call him Travie, also. My oldest was very helpful picking out names, and we tried several while I was pregnant, and when I suggested Travis, he said "it reminds me of travels, and I hope he does that." 😍😭 I was sold. Ha! It was very fitting for us, and I don't know of a Travis to associate the name with, though loads of family did and they really disliked it at first, as it reminded them of someone either they knew, or a famous person they knew of. But they have all admitted now that they only think of him, and they love it!! Just goes to show, don't let people talk you out of a name that feels right to you, and your family. We also have a Grant, and we call him Grantly. Again, a name we all know, but I personally hadn't, and still haven't, heard in a while. I dont directly know anyone with that name. We love them both, and it's strange because if you know me, you know I love much more quirky, out there names, but because of my husband, we landed on those names. I just named my boy a few weeks ago, I found I liked names that fell between 300-500 popularity. The most popular name we considered was Edward (with the intention of the nick name Ned). We ended up going with Casper; but also considered Rudy, Otto, Felix, Cedric and Monty. I wanted something familiar but not too common.

A boy I went to school with was called Adrian, but he thought it sounded old so he always went by Addi. I love my husband's name Travis! I just told his parent last night how much I loved his name. He is slim, tall, and red haired and it's so perfect for him. His parents almost named him Christopher, but that sounds run of the mill, compared to the artistic musician guitarist he is.

I have a suggestion... when I’m researching my girl names I find doll websites such as (our generation dolls) and see what their names are or zoya (the nail polish brand) has a ton of girl names for their polishes! Lots are very unique!

Joey is a strong contender for my baby boy (24 weeks today). My bf likes traditional and I like out there names so naturally I had to compromise but I like the nick name vibe and it’s had positive reactions so far. It’s tradition for boys in his family to be names John or Jack so I don’t feel like I’m breaking it too boldly with a Joey.

1. Nathan--I went to school with Nathans and Nathaniels; some who went by Nate and others who went by given name. I'm surprised that I don't hear it much as I do like it. 2. Milo--Milo and Otis! I love the name, but I hear is more for pets than people. 3. Rueben--it's a popular sandwich (one of my favorites) so I think that's why we don't hear it much. I think it is more commonly used by certain cultures than others. 4. Seth--I like the name Seth, and know a few adults named Seth all in their 30s or so. I don't know any little bitty Seths. 5. Joey--I love it as a nickname for Joseph or Josephine. I know boys and girls who go by Joey. Also one of my favorite characters in Friends! 6. Vinny/Vinnie--I know a Vinny (Vincent) and it's so funny you link it to Italian gangsters because we live in an area where there are a lot of Italian families and this child is very mischievous. 7. Asher--becoming over popular where I am. 8. Adrian--name of a popular TV character on the show Monk. He's the lead. I actually really like it for a girl Adrienne, so it is a gender neutral name as well. 9. Angus--reminds me of a burger, but love the name Gus! Not a bad name at all, just wondering if we don't hear it used much in the US because it's a type of beef. 10. Travis--I have a cousin named Travis, went to school with a Travis, and worked with a Travis and for all those reasons it is not a name I'd use... 11. Tom--over used in my family. Grandfather, dad (who goes by middle name), uncle, and brother. It's a great name, and not one I heard much anymore. 12. Miller--career as a last name as first name and also a Beer. Would not go over well in the US. 13. Ned--I like this. Could also be a nickname for Theodore as well.

My younger brother is called Reuben with the middle name Kasper. Reuben Kasper. I love it, it was quite out there when he was a baby, but he can definitely pull it off. I haven’t met any other Reubens.

My son is named Adrian ❤️ we call him Lian as a little nickname! He is now 10 months old, just love the way it sound and looks 😍 also we live in Finland, speak Swedish, husband is half Brazilian and family in the US, and it works quite well in all these languages 😊

Hey! I’m currently trying to think of a name for a girl puppy that we’re getting in the summer! We don’t want anything too common like molly and Tilly, but also don’t want anything too cutsie (for my boyfriend to shout across a field hahaha) so it’s a fine line!!
