Started with Steve, found Vlad along the way, and ended here. I don’t think I need any more cocktail knowledge than this amazing trio can provide. All three are excellent channels and provide their own flavour in presentation. Well done 👍
I love how you have basically the entire video in the description so people don't actually have to watch the whole video. But we still choose to watch because you're awesome.
you should be the one the most followed drinking channels honestly, quality is great, you introduced me to new drinks but also spins on favorites, and you got me into gin, cant ever go back to vodka now
people over here don't dig cream in their white russians, so what we do is shake up lactosefree milk with a slinky from a strainer and one icecube. this doesn't work with the fresh milk we got from the farmer for some reason, only with the lactosefree one. the milk comes out very viscose and frothy. i'd recommend this for anyone who doesn't want to use cram or half half in their white russians. still have to find a vegan milk where that is gonna work with. i like the addition of the macadamia liqueur. a lot of bars in my city will put a little float of 43 liqueur or maybe even frangelico on top of their white russians, which is also a nice twist.
I knew I had seen that outfit before, it was the background to when my eyes were glued to the expresso martini video! Absolutely love every single one of then! Thank you for making all these amazing cocktails for us!
This is a fabulous list and hats off to the Research department. I just made my first Espresso Martini and love it. All good drinks on the list. Some I have made, some are waiting for the day in the sun. Cheers!
I love the top 13 concept and how you put it together! Brilliantly done. You weren't kidding when you said you had prepped a lot of cocktails for a new project! And I enjoy that it allows a subtle shout out to other channels in the bartending community. I also like your discussion of how RU-vid presents cocktails and will work harder to support channels that support the classics. Top quality content! Bravo!
Thanks pal! I don’t think we were trying to make any point about what videos to watch or not watch, just pointing out that RU-vid is a funny beast haha. It was a pretty epic shoot but turned out well in the end 😊
Of all the cocktail channels, this is my favorite, classic, fun, simple and with a charming host. That long island tea looks wild! I've never had one and I don't think I would 😂
Would love to see a colab with Steve! He likes (kinda) to do shots videos, you may could do one together - that probably would be great fun! For your viewers, at least... 😂
I think I first stumbled upon this channel, when I was looking on how to make a Negroni. I just got recently interested into making Cocktails by watching a rundown of the 50 Classic Cocktails by Epicurious. I must say, I have seen a few videos on Cocktails, but once I came here it kinda stuck with me. Wether it's the magnificent production quality, the helpful tips on how to make certain ingredients (like syrups and such) and most definitely your charming presentation style, I really like it here! :3 A big thanks to you, Cara, Josh and everyone involved in this channel. You all have truly created a "safe space" for all things booze and the history of it (at least for me :)).
Really interesting videos! Enjoy your personal touch with Aussie spirits...as a Melbournian I can't wait to get out and check out Bomba! Walk past it every day for 2 years without seeing what its about. Great vid!
Oh no this is an unauthentic version haha! There will be a longer edit where we discuss this but in Mexico it’s closer to just lager and lime juice over ice most places.
@@BehindtheBar I was pulling your leg a bit! I've had them all kinds of ways and depending on where you are in Mexico they are simpler (and never with mezcal or tequila) I just found this version very tasty! There's no real consensus but fans of the drink would say that lime, beer, Taijin is a chelada, and Worstershire, Taijin, Maggi, lime, hot sauce, and beer is a michelada, and if you add tomato juice or clamato it's an oyo rojo (red eye). Putting ice in any of these is controversial. I like them all.
"Moorish" - a style of architecture common in Spain from the 13th to 16th centuries; characterized by the horseshoe (Moorish) arch. Yup, sounds about what I'm looking for after a big night out!
I’m sure it would have if we’d done an average across lots of channels rather than looking at particularly popular videos on specific ones...as we said, highly unscientific haha. We have already covered it here as well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iovvdos0XRA.html But a video on variations is definitely due!
Wow. Great idea for a video, Cara. So brilliant I can't believe nobody thought of it before you. Nice of you to spread the wealth and love around and introducer viewers to the other channels.
I've been enjoying your videos. You bring a light , down to earth perspective to making cocktails. You also enlighten me to many spirits that I knew nothing about. I do believe a visit to Bomba is in order, Looking forward to your next video. " So now you know"
1. Thanks for the Bloody Mary! It looks delicious. Looking forward to its own dedicated video. 2. Always nice to hear the proper pronunciation of Worcester Sauce. ;-) 3. Favourite moment: when you take out Thor's hammer to bash the ice. Come to think of it, "Hammer on Ice" sounds like a good name for a strong, boozy cocktail! I sincerely hope one day you'll get to a million subscribers (and more). Totally deserved. Cheers, and thank you.
Here is what I feel would be a great episode for this channel; a Latin America blowout to promote both happiness and tipsiness. And here it is: (1) Margherita + (2) Pisco Sour + (3) Caipirinha, none of which (luckily) on this rather silly list. But these three very popular drinks, pretty much cover the entire geographical area of Latin America, which is saying a lot. And, I ensure this noble audience, they are really amazing as a group.
Not a popular drink but my favorite is the French 75. Everyone I make this for loves it. It's ninety degrees outside and I'm having one now, the best way to begin the evening . Cheers.
Great video and I really like and appreciate the time hacks and additional information by drink. That I've seen, this is the only cocktail channel doing this. Kudos to you!
Thanks for introducing me to the Brandy Crusta. Made one last night. It was excellent. I like the extra wide sugar coating on the glass. That's a classy touch. Now I know.
Outstanding video...all except the coffee drinks....i am in on each. Yes. I found the mojito when seeing others drink it. Long Island is my favorite but lately the Moscow Mule is gaining. Bring on the apps...
Great video! In case anyone wants to see the Tipsy Bartender vid, it’s still showing up at facebook(found it using search). Very pretty! I found the TB via FB and think he’s fun to watch but overall Steve, Greg and you have more informative videos. Tipsy really is his own thing compared to most other channels 😄
Oh great, thanks for that! And totally, his videos are so fun but as I said, it just felt weird for me to try and show you how to make a cocktail I have no idea how to make haha- leave it to the expert!
Thank you! That Piña Colada was just as you said it would be: simple. And also not too sweet. Very nice! (I made mine with 1 oz Rhum Barbancourt, and 3/4 oz Wray & Nephew Overproof. Worked nicely.)
I'm amazed the Manhattan isn't there! I have to say I find Aperol rather bland - in Italy they also use Campari for Spritz and I'd recommend using a bit more Prosecco / Cava (whatever) if you are at home. But what a wonderful channel this is! And I use Cocchi and Rittenhouse (when I am splurging) for my Manhattan ...
I love that "How to drink"'s most viewed drink is one he took liberties with, hated, and had to pay mea culpa to the internet. The white russian may be the most viewed, but probably not for the right reasons.
I apologize for nitpicking. The Long Island Iced should have the cola mixed in. I like to add the cola last and stir it in until it is the color of tea. Thus the Tea in the drinks name.
Nitpick away, this is just how I do it! I completely understand where the tea comes from but it all ends up mixed together anyway and guests think it looks cool when I serve it this way. Maybe I’d have a problem if I bartended in the US, but here we’re not too pedantic about it haha!
Hi! Big Fan from Spain here! I’ve realized that you use some Spanish drinks and brands. I love Expresso Martini and other Coffee-related cocktails, and I always make them with Spanish Coffee Liqueur (called Licor de Café). It’s slightly different from the usual Kahlua and I trully recommend it if you have the chance!
It’s actually the only one of these I drank- it was a very long day so most got poured out after a taste test, but I hadn’t had a Michelada in too long 😋
Great video. I love the varied selection of cocktails. I would love to see a collaboration between you and Ciara O'Doherty. I think the battle of the accents would be amazing.
I have NEVER seen a layered Long Island, almost gets me wanting to try them again. Excellent video as always. Really want to try a lot of these. I need to find a good brandy though. And I need to find a good coffee liquor
@@BehindtheBar in US not a lot of good places to get good ingredients. Two hour road trip for a good whiskey which is a must. So next time I am in Fort Wayne need to look for Mr Black. Thank for the entertainment and education.
loved this video and it got me thinking! when you make like 13 cocktails in one shoot, and everything is on lockdown for covid, what do you do with all the drinks? do you and the crew just get absolutely hammered?
I work in a high volume cocktail bar located in a 5 stars hôtel so I get a lot of cocktail enthusiasts but also a whole lot of not so cocktail enthustiasts just looking to have a good time. These cocktails are a pretty accurate reflexion of the requests I can get from people that are not picking from our cocktail menu. Except for the Sex On The Beach... thank god LOL
Thanks for the list, some were totally new, some were old “friends” I should have seen the L.I.I.T coming but it took me by surprise. Something else took me by surpise. I have had Long Islands in bars, clubs and restaurants all over Sydney and its suburbs and never has there been a sugar syrup component, all the sweetness was provided by the Cointreau and the Coke filler. Adding that much syrup seems like it would make it very oversweet. But thank you and thanks Josh for all the hard spying, I mean research. He deserves a drink.
I also add a full shot of lemon juice- the sugar and Cointreau add up to the same amount of sour, plus the coke and and booze. I tend to find folks prefer this drink a little on the sweeter side but of course leave out if you prefer 😊
@@BehindtheBar well yes, the lemon juice is a given I was just surprised as it has never been in any of the versions I have bought but HTD Greg’s, Smilin’ Steve’s and now yours have all included it it just seemed odd. Thnks for the reply and keep doing what you are doing. Stay safe especially.
