Why is this show still on? The point of it was suicide awareness and prevention. Season 1 honestly didn't give the best message for mental health issues and trauma, but it was at least trying to send the message. After that, it became your typical "drama-mystery" bullsh!t.
I hope that Winston will get to the bottom of the frame-up, since he was the only person who seemed to genuinely care about Monty, even though he REALLY shouldn't! 😒
Anyone notice how the story is kind of going full circle. 13rw started with clay trying to find the truth about hannas suicide. The person he loved. And clay was on the outside trying to make everyone admit what they did. Now it’s Winston trying to make the characters admit what they did to his love Monty. And this time clay is in with the rest of the characters trying to cover it.
I do want to see more of Monty’s character. Throughout the series, I knew he was gay and struggling with it. I hope he is alive to clear his name. Monty deserves to be punished for his crime against Tyler, but he should not be framed for the murder of Bryce.
We might see him through flashbacks, but he is dead and Winston and Monty's sister Estela will try and clear his name. By the way, I agree with you entirely.
Monty is still alive and here is why‼️. The red letters on the lockers are the same as the red letters on the store of the Bakers in season 2 and Monty wrote that + in the trailer you see that Clay received a letter with also red letters just like the letter Justin got from Monty in season 2. In the trailer you also see that the camera gets beaten up by someone with a stick and remember when Monty hit his father with a stick in season 3
Okay but there's still one cliff hanger fron S02: Nina. She was last seen burning the polaroids and didn't face anything for it. Now I'm not saying bring her back completely, but at least name drop her and what happened or give her a single episode like Mrs. Baker got in S03.
People actually says that 13 Reasons Why should have just ended in Season 1 but lowkey i don't agree, i rather watch all seasons because i get to know and know more about the reasons behind hannah's death and bryce's and monty's
YES! I totally agree with you. I feel like people need to realize that Hannah's suicide had a much stronger impact on everyone around her and not just on her (obviously). No shame on Jay Asher, but I like that they expanded the story to 3 more seasons, because it just created way more depth to it. Imagine the image some people would've had of Justin for example after just one season. I liked him from the start, but without those other seasons, people completely misunderstood him. And not just Justin, but other characters too.

It's sad to see a series with so much potential become one of those that we'll watch just because of our need for closure, but I'm actually hoping for things getting better
My disdain for Ani has absolutely nothing to do with her with her hair... or her color... I would've hated any new character who just upped and came into play just as she did! There was no need for a new character like her to be placed into the "crowd" like her... I feel bad for the actress who played her,because everyone hated her personally, but I don't hate her personally, just her character!
While I wasn't totally happy with the last season, I HAVE to know what happens. Have to. They better not keep us hanging again. But before this comes out, I'll have to rewatch the last season. Well played Netflix. Well played.

He got a boner when he was fighting with Zach and had a horrible sex life with Jessica... I mean, it seems like it could be pointing in that direction.
While I quickly became ambivalent to the show after Season 1, I'll be sad to see it end. I hope that Winston will play a bigger role, and that Ani will serve as a supporting character, and not try to take over the entire show again! 💗😊
Ani was good character but she just didn't fit in. We begin the show and she's narrating, we don't know who she is but she was great character and I'm glad Clay's narrator again.

i like winston. i think he's by far the most interesting person on the show. by figuring out the truth, he's going to discover just how terrible of a person monty could be and i'm really excited to see how that affects him.
I just want to see Winston and Tyler get together and talk about what Monty did. Winston was in the gym with both schools after Tyler stood up saying he was a survivor. And if he doesn't believe Tyler at first. He could show him the same video he had shown Clay in season 3.
Ani was the best character. The only one alive who had a connection between Clay and Bryce. If you don't see how that's important, then you're not even Rick and Morty levels of IQ to understand this show.
As much hate as last season got, I think it was still good. The reason why people didn’t like it is because it became a completely different show. But in my opinion, that’s a good thing. The show needed to pick a new direction because, Hannah baker’s situation was getting old and overplayed. It was time for a new conflict
Honestly, the concept of a Season following the mystery of Bryce’s death and who did it is a great follow-up to S1 and 2, but it was executed terribly. The show didn’t need to change, not nearly as much as it did.
Homez18 but if they did that, they wouldn’t of had the same audience or the same amount of viewers. Either way the show would’ve ended or continued with a different story, but the Hannah baker thing was overplayed and needed to end, so they had to change the plot
Honestly, monty deserves to pay for what he did…in jail. I’ll be really upset if he’s dead. He did a terrible thing and he needed to serve his time for it, but he didn’t deserve to be charged for a murder he didn’t commit, he didn’t deserve to die (if he really did) and I think Winston could have helped him out of the hole his abusive dad put him in and help him be a better person. There’s so much potential for the story there and until I see a dead body, I won’t believe it.
unpopular opinion: i think season 3 of thirteen reasons why was actually rlly good. season 2 overall fucked the show up so there wasn’t many places the writers could have taken it, but they did an exceptional job. there were flaws but the story line caught my attention and overall there weren’t any scenes that were too much that i didn’t want to see, a lot was handled better.

The thing I don't like about Ani is we didn't see her on the other 2 seasons and she just appeared in season 3 thinking she knows EVERYTHING! and she then framed Monty they just shoved her in the show like nothing and she didn't even know Hannah
She didn't just frame Monty and appeared out of thin air. Because she wasn't on the previous seasons doesn't mean she wasn't there. It's like in Season 2, we saw things that happened between Hannah and the cast we haven't seen in the previous seasons, Ani know Bryce was messed up but she saw something positive in him that no one else saw, and I get that she was annoying with popping her head in things that didn't relate to her but no need to crucify her. She was a crucial character in showing that Bryce was trying to change.
I don't understand why everyone is so hooked up about it having Four Seasons when this is all necessary. After season 1 of Hannah Baker's death it shows the aftermath of what her suicide did to all the characters and what it all led up to in season 2, 3 and now 4. So please appreciate what it is because if it was only one season or two it wouldn't make sense at all with the left over cliffhangers and unresolved questions. And also. Hannah wasn't only the main character.
Monty was such a good chacter, now before I continue, what he did to Tyler is very fucked up, and in no way am I encouraging that act. He’s a good chacter because he struggled with his sexuality like a lot of kids now a days, came from a abusive home. He and Bryce had a relationship where he just wanted to be accepted but Bryce had other plans in mind. So by Monty going on and proving himself to Bryce he was just looking for a safe space, that Winston came to be. So in my opinion Winston is here to clean Monty’s nam up, but will somehow encounter Monty’s father.
Okay, so I watched this whole season ONCE, and since it only had 10 episodes, I spent 10-11 hours watching this, so if I don’t have everything down, feel free to correct me because I probably missed a few things. Also, obviously, **SPOILERS**, so if you don’t want to read my comment just scroll by lmao. 1.) Ani in season 4 has mellowed down A LOT. She’s not the narrator anymore as Clay has taken that role back, and they actually start off as a couple, but later has a very vague breakup and decided to stay as friends. Ani does appear in some of the episodes, but she’s not as “forced” this time. In fact, she wasn’t seen for a good two episodes at a time. Ani does develop better as a character and kinda loses that “Mary Sue” trope and is apart of the group now. 2.) Unfortunately no :(. Justin relapses and lies to Clay’s parents about doing it when both of them are forced to take a drug test. At the end of the series, Justin dies from complication of AIDS. 3.) Yes, she does in a way? When Ani goes to see her, Mrs. Walker gives her Bryce’s tuition money, so I’m not sure if that was her way of closure, but that’s as far as I can remember. 4.) Referring back to 2, no not necessarily. On the first episode when Justin comes back, he breaks up with Jessica, Jessica moves on quickly to one of the other jocks, Diego and they kinda have a love triangle throughout the season until Justin dies and it’s hinted that she got with Diego. 5.) From what I remember, nothing happens to Deputy Standall or Alex. In fact, Alex actually gets away with murdering Bryce. 6.) Yes, on episode 10, “Graduation”, Tony’s sister spots him and they both hug. 7.) It almost did? When the principal set up a drill, most of the student body assumed it was a real shooting since it wasn’t announced to be a drill. Once they heard gunshots, Tony looked through Tyler’s bag and saw pictures of guns. However, during the drill, Tyler was hidden in the girls bathroom with Monty’s sister, Estela, proving he wasn’t behind the “shooting”. 8.) Alex doesn’t really take it well in the beginning. Most of the vast deals with some sort of hallucinations of the deceased, (Mainly Bryce and Monty) and Alex did see Bryce when he fell off the canoe with Zach. He did confess to Winston, who didn’t really do anything with the information, but only asked for closure, kind of? 9.) No. I assumed Monty would’ve been alive too, since his death scene was never shown, but due to Clay’s hallucinations of Bryce and Monty, it’s already confirmed that Monty’s actually dead. In one of Clay’s dreams, Monty tells Clay how he died in jail, which is probably the only real death scene we’ll ever get out of Monty. 10.) Surprisingly, no. Alex and Winston actually had a close, sort of “relationship” that helped Alex figure out his sexuality, and when Alex told him he was in shock. After Justin’s funeral, Winston took Alex outside and asked him why he did it. Alex explained to Winston how Bryce ruined everyone’s lives and that in a fit of rage he pushed Bryce into the water. It’s shown Winston never did anything with that information since they’re all seen at the graduation.
Ani was necessary but she felt omnipresent when she wasn't present in the events, her character should have been watered down because taking a few things I enjoyed her plus the actress did an excellent job and she didn't deserved hate for even someone that doesn't exist
"Where will Ani fit in?" Jokes on you, she didn't fit in in S3...so how should she fit in now? The ridiculousness can take any direction, honestly. Imagine the last episode almost all of them dead and then Ani being the only one standing alive suddenly talking in a familiar voice: "Hey. I'm Hannah. Hannah Baker...'s ghost inside of this vessel."
Roxie Rocks ani kill Bryce. Because where was ani. It never explore that. No ever ask where she was. She shot bryce. In try to pull it on someone else. In make everyone turn on that person.
I felt like he did deserve what he got. He literally bang Tyler head on the mirror and sink and tried to drown him in the toilet than stuck a Broom stick inside him until he bleed. And that was cruel, he deserve what he got.

I don't understand how Clay was pressuring sheri to go to the police about a stopsign, but he was covering op the fact that Tyler almost made a school shooting and Alex killed someone (not in defends) and even blamed it on someone else.. yes Monty deserved to be in jail, but he still had a mom and a sister who now (maybe) believes that their son/brother killed someone..
Monty needed mental help not jail! He explains to clay it was 'flashes of rage and fear' and what he did 'wasn't always in his heart' meaning he needed help to get better not to be framed for a murder! Really sad Monty didn't get justice this season. What he did to Tyler was horrible and I'm by no means making excuses but he shouldn't of died over it. Winston could've helped him get better.
I remember when Jessica spoke in the assembly, and mentioned this 'mirror' quote. Then afterwards Ani asked Jessica where she got that quote. And Jessica replied with "I just thought about it" or something like that. And in the end, when they listened to the tape, the same quote was said. Idk if this makes even sense, but I just got a lil suspicious.
Well, I need an answer, why is Ani still in this series and why was her in the season 3 in the first place =)) Like c'mon, it should be Jessica who would do that speech, we don't neet Ani.
I can’t stand Ani. Yes, Monty is trash BUT didn’t deserve to be framed for a crime he didn’t commit. Alex is the one who should be in prison. Ani should have some type of punishment for lying to the cops. That would be a great ending. Also, Jessica shouldn’t have forgave Justin for letting Bryce rape her. They gotta stop glamorizing sexual assault
Honestly I'm glad Bryce is dead and I absolutely did not feel sorry for him even though the show tries to make you feel bad for him. I don't feel like his mom needs closure. Your son was a horrible human being and got what he deserved. End of story. I hope Monty is really dead and I don't feel sorry for him either. Idc that his dad was abusive. That's no excuse to be an asshole. There are plenty of kids who grow up like that and they aren't monsters. I know everyone handles trauma differently but fuck Monty. Jessica and Justin DO NOT need to get back together. If I found out my bf let his best friend sexually assault me, he would be dead to me. I wouldn't care what he was going through.
Unpopular opinion: Best season: 3 Next-best season: 2 Worst season: 1 (but it's still good) Powerful scenes, interesting character developments... is it just me who thinks it gets better and better?
@Roxie Rocks ~What I hate about that whole Zach/Hannah thing is the fact that it seems so serendipitous and something the writers came up with after writing Season 1. Something like this surely would've been on his tape, and his initial reason for being on the tapes wouldn't have mattered as much because by getting with him later on, that implied that Hannah had forgiven him for stealing her little notes or whatever. That whole secret relationship bs was poorly thought out and just dumb anyways.
I personally love 13 reasons why is an altimate favourite show! It makes me sad that it will end but that would've happen at some point I just can't wait for the new season to come out in june.
Here's what will happen Alex goes to jail but get treatment, Deputy Standall loses his job but doesn't go to jail because he makes a plea deal and tells Bryce's mom about what he did in order to protect Alex after she confronts him, Clay starts seeing Monty's ghost and starts to reveal stuff to his therapist/councler while Jessica starts seeing Bryce's ghost, Justin and Jessica could have a falling out, Winsten will reveal the truth but Clay might accidentally kill him thinking that he's Monty
,At the end of the season Tony will somehow be reconnected with his family, Zach will start having nightmares about Bryce, Ani ends up in jail then Clay comes to visit her and dumps her, will see flashbacks of Monty and Winsten and Months childhood with his dad around and see flashbacks of Bryce and maybe with Monty when he was his friend
Guys, we do have some evidence that Monty is actually alive. And.. if he is... there might be something a bit way too dark that I either completely missed or that wasn’t meant to be heard by most. Let’s look at one of the last episodes of season 3. Bryce is confronting Monty about what he did to Tyler, and when Monty asks him something like, “Yeah, well, what if I will..? (do something to Tyler)” and Bryce replies with- “The the police find out everything. ** bla bla bla** “ and then he says something that made me jump- *“..and about the time you tried to kill Clay.”* I have a feeling that this season is gonna be way more trouble then we think it will. Or maybe not. Who knows
I am seriously rooting for Winston to reveal the truth. I hated season 3 ending because it was full of lies. These kids are just as bad as Bryce and Monty if they think they can get away with this. 😒
I don't think I'm nearly as excited for season 4, as I was for season 3, but the concept of Monty being alive, or at least learning more about his character, similar to Bryce, is promising.
10. Would Ani Return? 9. Is Justin going to get a happy ending? 8. Nora was hurt. So I wonder if that’s a continuation. 7. Again does Justin have a happy ending? Jessica hasn’t responded to anyone else in that way. 6. Um...I think somehow. Any evidence of Alex will be resurfaced. 5. Tony is a great story. That had so much to his development, 4. Is this what could get Clay locked away? 3. Does his grievance end? 2. I would want Monty to live, but we haven’t seen a body. We don’t know going into the final fourth season. 1. Winston strikes again!!
I’m gonna give the 13 reasons why writers and Ani the benefit of the doubt for this new season because since she’s still here, I’m guessing that they listened to everyone else and made her a way better character for this new season.
