I was on oxycodone for the last 10 years. I've tried everything from vegan to low carb. I finally went full carnivore two years ago and lost 50lbs and was able to cut down 90% on pain meds in the first 6 months. I went back to low carb and gained 40lbs and all pain returned. Going back to the Lion diet. Telling people to eat grains when they have nerve pain is crazy to me. I get an immediate pain response within 5 min of eating any grains.
Hi. I experience pain after eating or drinking , even after I take my medicine. I thought it was in my head. I have some pretty extensive nerve damage, lower back, and lower legs and feet. Also I have some paralysis in the upper thigh and pelvis . Im in constant pain and experience muscle spasms as well . Having no feeling but pain is crazy 🙃

Dr My own experience with neuropathy I am diabetic since last 24 years ,plus had fall from a galloping horse leading to pain in lower back and neuropathy pain in my left leg this happened when I was 25 years old at 40 landed up with diabetes and when ever my sugar levels remained high for few days the neuropathy pain in my left leg would trigger off , the best remedy that helped me was eating turnips,both raw in salads and as cooked vegetables,but it becomes and issue if I have neuropathy pain in summers then turnips are not available, then I have to bear it and increase my insulin dose to bring down my sugar levels fast .

I appreciate what your advise, this is my personal experience over the past 8 years and its PEESONAL. If i est any grain whether whole or not, i have severe flare ups, fruits that have a lot of sugar, Milk, whether whole or mon fat, all these foods severely affect my sciatic pain negatively i avoid these foods like the plague, i use meat fish eggs and good oils, butter and veggies. Pain free no flare ups. I have tested this many times over eight years. I learned thst carbs sre converted to sugar in the gut. Personally my experience ❤
Fruits, nuts, vegetables - all from the list i can tolerate and even within them very few! 🤦♂️ Lettuce, walnuts, hazelnuts, bananas, kiwis, berries, thats it, _that is my full diet_ ! Not what i really like to eat, but pain is way more stressing than a lite bit of better taste. 🙏

Hi Doc, i was so happy to come across your channel. I suffer from Trigeminal Neuralgia and have been on tegretol for almost ten years. Now i take tegretol and Gabapentin which is destroying my life completely due to how they make me sleep and forget things. i will definitely make effort to eat the way that will help. I loved chocolate so much and had to stop because it triggers the pain. Thank you so much. I wish you could say more on this disease.

Years ago my Dr. had me eliminate all forms of potatoes, and other raw nightshades. This was hard at first, however it helped a lot in toning down my pain.

I experienced neuropathy from Lyme disease. I had full aching and electric shock type of pain in my arms and legs. Thankfully, it went away by treating Lyme.

I had this issue. Doc gave just ointment to rub on foot. After one year i stopped ointment. Then i started doing a a 5 mins massage - After 6 months wala - problem solved.

Good morning. Thank you Dr. Furlan. I downloaded the handout. Not enough beans in this House so will try to incorporate more. We eat so much chicken and turkey and fish we have feathers under our arms and we are sprouting fish gills too! Have started cutbacks on coffee to once daily, sworn off of salt. Giving up Splenda and Sugar will be most difficult.
