After reviewing several auto-everything meters, VENLAB's VM-200M pure manual-everything is a refreshing change. The accuracy is actually quite good, only limited by the limited resolution with a 2000 count display. The protection is better than expected, but it uses a resettable polyfuse for the lower current ranges (10A uses a glass fuse). Its a decent entry-level meter for electronics but I would not use it for mains electrical work. On the other hand, surviving low (less than 3A) current lab accidents, without having to buy a new 400mA fuse everytime will be much appreciated.
