VN24 - 04/14/2021 - Fröndenberg / Germany - The driver of a loaded 7.5-ton truck apparently wanted to stop his truck on the hard shoulder of the A44 freeway in the direction of Dortmund at around 07:15 o'clock, due to circumstances that have not yet been fully clarified, and finally got into the ditch at low speed, where his vehicle lay on its side. Witnesses and first responders were able to free the man from his cabin and provide him with care on the ground until the rescue service arrived. According to a witness and first responder, the man reportedly had a head injury that was not consistent with the accident scenario. He was taken to a hospital. A traffic jam formed on the highway, in which another, even more serious accident occurred at the end of the traffic jam at about 09:45. There, a car transporter drove into a semi-trailer truck already at the end of the traffic jam. We will report on this later.
