Thanks so much I can see now that my lever (the bit covered in saw dust in this video) is missing the part that is meant to be touching the knee I’ll contact the eBay seller and hopefully they’ll be able to send me a replacement handle rather than having to go through the kerfuffle shipping it all back
Great to hear I could help. Does that mean the metal lever is part of the handle? It's not likely that will have that many parts but maybe a saw that has been returned due other reasons that may be able to take the assembly off. Make sure you are clear about what you need at that don't send you the wrong thing.
@@lynpatnat just got some parts from the seller and it turned out the whole brake handle was warped on mine, it’s all fixed now and the seller even sent me a spare side cover with chain tension adjuster which I understand is prone to failure on these
@@janramonmartin That's brilliant. It's good to see they came through with the parts. If you are careful with the adjustment and do it like I show in the video ( move the bar up and down when adjusting and then hold the car in the upper position as you do the bar nuts tight) it should last and not break but it is plastic so very easy to overtighten the chain adjustment.
