Very accurate. I’ve taken the MBTI personality test several times over the years and my ENTP designation has persisted each time. While I agree with most things here, I also believe ENTP’s have the capacity to modify their behavior for social acceptability more than most. Just because we do not value emotion the same as many others does not mean we can’t understand them. It just takes quite a bit of work to put countermeasures into action.

You’re right. I also think the % make up is important. A mild ENTP will behave quite differently from an extreme ENTP. I for example am highly compassionate, so I can relate to the point made about la k of warmth prior to that age only.

Sensitive/emotional people say we have no empathy, when in fact we are just too focused on other matters to see the need to show empathy. We know what they’re feeling but we don’t see the point in having to waste energy on emotions unless it helps us to achieve a purpose. When we do this, emotional people can get intimidated because although we have the ability to soften the conversation we don’t see it being efficient or hence necessary.

If you are constantly defending your views and not considerate about their point of view, like maybe that other person has some good points.. not even once and you aren't considerate of the emotions of others in a social situation at all. Chances of you being an ENTP might be pretty low. We can debate and can disagree on things but our primary goal is not too fuckin absolute shit on their point of view. Unless you get them on a heated debate. And yes we can be compassionate and empathetic, we have Fe as our 3rd function.

Yes, I'm ENTP! I was tested at work in the late 90s, with the goal to better align personality traits to form committees. The committees were quite successful, ours attaining a patent for a new product and I was the inventor. 😁 Anyway, I haven't thought much about it over the years and recently started to analyze the deeper aspects of this type. It's almost scary how accurately it describes me, even the darker side. The most fascinating to me right now is, it explains my lifelong resistance to indoctrination, despite attending church and private religious schools. When it comes to religion, I'm Teflon. Go figure! And when I typed "Teflon" I was thinking someone should make a patented trademark emoji! 🤣

I mean all of them make sooo much sense, it is DAMM SCARILY accurate! I tend to think very quickly, i does I a lot and i speak quickly, i feel extremely bored and tired and overwhelmed with people who can't keep up with a quick thinking space and they talk very slowly... I'm also extremely impatience when i speak or when i want something, I don't like to wait, i do not like emotional reactions and drama, I get bored overall with the normal small talking and also normal life, i despise authority, plans, programs, rules overall and anything actually restrictive... I have it really hard to stay focused on something longer hour, especially if it's something boring, I function much much better in chaos and creative lack of rules, lol... I don't want to be right what's, I just want to challenge different views and opinions and LEARN out of it and I ve been over analyzing pretty much everything since i was a child.. I ve never ever found anything more accurate regarding personality tests and psychology overall, THANK YOU!

The first ENTP video that seemed to be on point about everything and comprehensive, at least for me. The one exception was the lacking emotional support part, but thats because I am also an intuitive empath. That said, the part about logic and solution oriented support still holds true.

I am an ENTP and I am soooo not messy or disorganized....except for my bathroom counter and my inability to actually fold laundry after I have washed it. I take meticulous notes and have created a filing system for practically every area of my career and personal and financial life. Was also in the US Navy as a FMF Corpsman for 8 years, so I sure AF know how to clean so well you could eat off my floor, but I can organize a closet or pantry or filing cabinet or digital file like best of them.

Any other ENTPs have trouble accepting the global pandemic? When “lockdowns” happened I immediately went to the woods, every day. Getting the vaccine was not easy for me either.
