I agree. I get a new job and I always get sacked within 6 to 9 months because I'm to rebellious towards people trying to control me. Employers don't allow people to do a job in a way they want as individuals. I can never meet the standards of other peoples expectations.

It is true, too. All the ENxPs I know have a pervasive disregard for their own mortality in all matters Se. And then get hung up on weird shit like injections and viruses. To a person with inferior Se, who is completely opposite (don't give a shit about my health, is mortally afraid of driving a car and potentially killing myself) it seems ludicrous, but the reality is that both Ne and Ni users just need to get a fucking grip. 😂

Yea it's hard to keep people calm while telling them something like the way they are raising their child is completely wrong lol. Wish I lived in a world where people could just take those things solely rationally, but one thing is for sure, there are things I care about as an ENTP that I know can trigger me too. But still, I will come back to some sort of rationality, I hope people do that too.

chloe nickel Yeah the stereotypical ESFJ female will have an easier experience in this area. You most likely will need to find a guy you can bounce ideas back and forth with. May take time to feel like it is a normal relationship but it will grow on you and you may be surprised of how fulfilling it can be. I would suggest trying to meet Ne doms or Ne auxiliary users. Like the INTPs, ENTP, & ENFP. These guys will come across as possibly weird or goofy to you. Far from the stereotypical popular ESTP, ESTJ, ESFP types you may notice more while in high school.

I relate to this so much! As a teenage entp I always hated me behaving and thinking so 'grown up' while everyone around me was having fun doing kind of silly things which are only funny to me for a few minutes.. At these times I often feel very lonely despite of being surrounded by my best friends.. when I met 'my' first infj person last year we immediately became friends and I feel really good being able to connect with someone who understands how I think and why I'm behaving a particular way

best unsolicited advice I can offer as a more experienced ENTP (I'm 39) would be to work toward fostering an unflinching courage to be as honest as possible with how you feel; internally and externally. There's no magic bullet or easy out. this takes work for us.

@@IIISWILIII Is this to strengthen Ti? I've been typed as ENTP and INTP on multiple tests and relate heavily with the ENTP personality archetype but I feel like I've got a pretty weak Ti because of my overemphasis on my Fe. I'm curious if this is the reason for your advice towards putting a heavier focus on truth. edit: the overemphasis on Fe is likely due to the family I grew up in being very emotionally scarred because of my fathers murder. Ok over sharing over :P

@@IIISWILIII Well as I'm an ENTP then I can tell you quite confidently that yes, you clearly are misunderstanding. ENTP's are future orientated people. Which means that we plan ahead in order to increase our accuracy and success rate in whatever we do, generally speaking of course. Some are better than others at this obviously. But if you look at the description of an ENTP personality type, we like to look at every possible angle of a thought, idea or task. This way, we have a clearer understanding of every possibility and we can therefore eliminate any other possible negative outcomes by choosing the option that presents the best outcome in order to guarantee that we've chosen the best possible option. But if we can't possibly investigate every option, we will therefore feel very vulnerable of making a bad choice and will therefore become cautious.

I'm an INTP in a long term relationship with an ENTP and I beg to differ. She is very intelligent and more sociable than I, but somehow socially clueless sometimes, compared to me who watches everything and when I socialize I am much more careful, while ends up offending some people sometimes when it was not needed at all, or lashing out at a store manager or something before trying to fix things through patience and proper conversation.

I don't think I really agree with you, at least in my case as an ENTP, I know when I upset someone and I always know why though sometimes it is just intentional to push their buttons. If I'm having an argument with someone or if someone gets on my nerves, I will purposefully drive them away. I can have patience when I want, but sometimes I'm aggravated so I could honestly care less about peaceful discussion, and I don't regret it afterwards either. Not everyone all the time sees it as ideal to just talk it through when you dislike a situation.

This comment really speaks to me as an entp and shows me points I myself should work on.I find it unbelievably relatable because entps are viewed as “smart” when in reality the only thing that makes them “smart” is looking at every possibility and childlike enthusiasm towards things that interest (usually science’s psychology and philosophy) them,and completely disregard the things that don’t which leave you only getting half way to your goal and down hearted it didn’t work out...it takes alot more than planning and creativity it also takes action.

I have this same writing style sometimes where I write down the source of an idea in parentheses.

@@IIISWILIII Basically you develop a checklist through safe-to-fail experiments with n=1 (yourself). Our 'idiosyncracies' are more important than our commonalities, so it makes no sense to 'copy' someone else's checklist. Don't confuse correlation with causation and simulation with prediction. And use the "active questioning technique'. These are 10 questions that could work as a starting point: 1. Did I do my best to get 8 hours of sleep today? 2. Did I eat healthy and nutrient-rich food today? 3. Did I exercise and take a walk today? 4. Did I spend time with my beloved ones today? 5. Did I learn something new, useful, and interesting today? 6. Did I help someone else today? 7. Did I do my best to make progress on (insert meaningful goal here) today? 8. Did I have fun today? 9. Did I celebrate my digital sunset (i.e., turning off all electronics one hour before bedtime)? 10. Did I do my best to e.g. meditate, journal, etc. today? +aurarus People are too rigid with their understanding of this MBTI stuff anyway. A lot of INTP's are similar to the sort of ENTP described in this video where as a lot of others wouldn't begin to truly relate and would find an INFP profile easier to relate to. All of this ENTP stuff fits me just as much as all the INTP stuff; devil's advocate extraordinaire. Some people who almost always test as ENTP will have a significantly more developed Ti than Ne and the reverse for some who almost always test as INTP. This touted MBTI typology method is useful but should be a bible for nobody. One part of the puzzle... and one that attempts to specifically categorise attributes which exist and traverse, often enough, continuous scales.

That’s a very assholish thing to unsatirically say.

In my head the ultimate form of capitalism will lead to a working communism (as we become completely selfsustainable, there will only be a need for creative work. Which will even be overtaken by computers. Not trying to make it sound bad. But it's kinda obvious if you follow the technological news and see the possibilities. I think when we become selfsustainable (food, health,..) only 90% (very raw estimate) will be necessary. This will become 0 in the end. Then we become obsolete.. Aka some form of communism arrives or we kill most of the population. But for the sake of the scenario, let's assume we don't kill everyone who becomes unnecessary.. We have communism right there. Because there will be no need for work. BUT! I do not see a forced way of communism work EVER before that. If you want to open up your views on why, please read from Solzhenitsyn.. Or how I'd shut it down in one statement. You will never be able to achieve communism because it doesn't go hand in hand with people's greed / self worth. If we take away our hiarchy of value, we will become corrupted from the soul because the other person get's as much for doing more or less. Most of us will do as much work than the least productive person around us because "that is enough to proof our value". We compare ourself. Constantly. And even if you as a person are not functioning like this (and there are people like that). Most of people will not. And we have a very diverse pool of people. It's a great utopia in which most of us WANT to live. It just cannot be done. Anyway if you'd tell me how you would overcome that I'd be interested to hear :-)

I'm always baffled by other ENTPs who've managed to become programmers. I tried the route in college but quickly found that I found zero joy in the amount of minutiae and patience involved on a daily basis. I need physical movement and a vast amount of variety in my daily problem solving.

I am a 40 yr old entp. i just realized how much i love the 'thinking research' part of ...everything.( house buying , jobs, possible vacations, hobbies..ect) We LOVE to research and learn 'stuff, and REALLY love to describe it, but execution is..... boring. Yes, I know two Fi users who I hate. When they're upset everyone has to know, if we're all having fun at a party and they get upset they'll freak out regardless and are so socially embarrassing to be around. Fi is without a doubt the worst function.
