Sean Lock at his best. This programme was given awful time slots, yet is vastly superior to UK primetime 'Turd Dressed as Entertainment' sitcoms such as 'My Family'. If you are not from the UK and are wondering what 'My Family' is, it is diluted crap trying to masquerade as a superior US sitcom. But hopefully, astute non-british observers of comedy will notice the subtle nuances underrated comedy such as seen in 15 Storeys High.
A friend lent me the DVDs the other week. It's the funniest thing I have seen in ages. Sean Lock and Benedict Wong are an amazing double act, but everything in the whole series is pretty much flawless. I'd never even heard of it before. Was it only on BBC3 or something? I think The Blue Rat has to be my favourite episode.
shndmc Do yourself a favour and buy both series on DVD. Absolutely fantastic stuff. This episode and the one where Vince is put on trial for allegedly killing a swan are my favourites. Oh, I forgot about the one where he talks about being traumatised as a kid when he was buried under a mountain of Wombles on 'Jim'll Fix It'. Comedy gold.
