Hey Aluxers, have you ever stayed in an Airbnb? Make sure to join www.alux.com Company Saturdays: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0VqViHcceCQ.html
Hey Alux! Recently Apple became the first US corporation to cross $1 trillion in market cap. Can you please make a video on 15 companies which are already worth a Trillion or will cross Trillion mark very soon. I am pretty sure that you will be able to justify it. Trillion is going to be a new benchmark for successful corporations in coming decade and I am very excited about it. You guys are doing a fantastic job. Kudos to you. 👍
Hi Alux, I plan on starting a small business. By the fact that they pay for themselves in under a year I could, possibly, after the first two years, double the amount of vending machines every 2 years. In a career I never plan on retiring from I could buy bulk from developing countries and keep my items of high quality but incredibly low prices. For example I'll sell coca cola for 1 dollar a can like they did in the 2,000's. Those prices would create such customer happiness that they would demand these things everywhere, including their homes. I want every room or at least every home on Earth to have one. Airbnb alone has 7 million locations, and with an average profit post taxes and expenses of things like placements and labor of 35 dollars a month they might not seem like much now, but in a million locations it would be 35 million dollars a month in profit. Once homes have such things it could literally be 1 billion units. 35 billion dollars a year sounds good for something that starts as one machine and supplying it.
Airbnb is awesome. Once I started hosting I've made thousands of dollars per month and haven't worked a job since. Only had one job in my life and now I have multiple businesses thanks to it.
I host on airbnb, the main problem with it I find is that some people expect someone's home to be like a 5 star hotel...not a person's home for a fraction of the price that they'd have to pay for 5 star hotel, which is where they should go if that's what they want!
@@melvina628 That is on them. If you've listed correctly and not over inflated your property to attract people, they should know exactly what they are getting. I get that over and over in my reviews. "Property exactly like described."
@@grannygoes7882 Yes, it is exactly as described. When guests arrive, they oooh and ahhh at my place because it is more than they expected. That is not the issue. The issue is that guests expect hotel service, even though it is not available. They expect to be able to trash your place, have room service, be rude, etcetera.
@@melvina628 Wow that is horrible. Where is your place? I think different people go to different places. Like I said before it seems only nice families and older people go to Yellowstone. Park. I wouldn't do it if I had your experience. I don't need money that bad.
Hi Aluxers. What I like least about AirBnB is that it began as sort of a “couch surfing” type of format so that the tourist could travel more economically. While I appreciate and look forward to experiencing the super high end rentals some day, in our day to day lives, it would have been nice if some of the hosts would offer more reasonable rates that are less than a hotel for the same, private level room as a hotel. Also, one thing I’ve noticed is that AirBnB has drastically reduced the amount of rooms for rent for local, monthly renters. I would love to see a study about the displacement of local people with the expansion of the company. Sort of like how companies are made to do studies about environmental effects on wildlife before building a factory. I’m wondering if having these rooms for rent taken off the market has increased the homeless population because they can’t find an inexpensive place to live.
Lauren Blaine BAM here in Dublin - Ireland we are living a big problem because Airbnb.. City is not big enough to accommodate everybody who lives here. Instead of find places to live you find airbnb everywhere. People are looking for places to live outside of Dublin, renting price is abusive expensive and salary is too low to find a decent place to live.
Staying in Airbnbs solves the problem of homelessness to some extent as people don't need to provide a big deposit, show references or a lot of paper work to landlords. This makes it easier to find a place. Guests can move from place to place and are not stuck in a place for too long. Landlords are responsible for making them feel comfortable, otherwise they get a bad review. Attacking Airbnb hosts won't improve the situation as they just won't rent if there is no incentive or if they have to accept troublesome tenants.
@@RobinKiles It would only benefit the homeless if the prices were affordable, which they aren't, and never have been. Any host renting at a low price is only doing a short-term promotion to get guests interested, and to get more reviews for their home. Once that goal is achieved, the host increases the price to match the market, and higher.
I have been in the hotel industry who years and listed my property on Airbnb and I love it and met so many wonderful people. I have lots of experience in renting out to corporate clients as I have long term clients only.
@@nassernathan hiii..sorry for the slow respons, im from indonesia.the pandemic of course has affected our business so much, but we're lucky to have a customer who rent our home for a long term
Air BNB has been wonderful for us ! We really enjoy being super host and helping others get started on there own hosting adventures! Let us know if we can help you too.
Did anyone take their recent survey about their elite memberships? I travel often and love Airbnb but not sure how i feel about annual fees to use the service 🤔
@@RodGibsonMusic The platform is open to everyone and anyone, and that is exactly who arrives at your door. There's no vetting, contrary to this video. Also, how do you vet an alcoholic, a deviant, or a slob? The host/guest reviews have become a quid pro quo system. So, it's rare to learn the truth about your host/guest from the reviews. Any insurance money directly from AirBnB to cover damages is only considered after the host has already paid out of their own pocket, been reimbursed from their own security deposit, and had lengthy conversations with their guest and AirBnB. In other words, it's a hassle.
@@melvina628 Some of what you say is true. You can't control who comes to your door but the review system is NOT quid pro quo as you don't see what they say about you till both reviews are finished and posted. I've been a host on airbnb for 7 years and have not had one problem. I also get a bonus every year for being a superhost. I have personally been treated very well by airbnb and have always felt they were on my side. I've had a couple of bookings I wasn't comfortable with and they helped me get out of them without losing my superhost status. I have also never had any damage to my home. I think it's my area. I live outside of Yellowstone Park and the people that come to the park are usually older people or nice families. Never had any lowlifers show up at my door. I also get quite a few people who work in the park and they've been nice and clean as well.
AirBnB is an amazing venture. I love it but I have experienced racism on the site while going to Panama which was shocking because if your racist why allow your home to be on such a public forum so I think AirBnB needs to let the host fill out a section with persons they prefer in their homes etc or something because that was quite upsetting to have gone through such an issue.
TheHvk it was quite surprising. The apt was great etc the lady seemed nice until she asked if we were black and that was shocking. We filed a complaint with AirBnB immediately on her.
If I had a property to use that application I will not allow Americans because they're so spoiled, demanding, impolite loud and very pretentious... Hope that hosts have their freedom to choose the guests, after all it's private property used for business... my ethnicity? Mediterranean Spanish currently living in the US. Can't wait to leave.
@@MrHav1k It is unfortunate that in 2018 racism exists, and it is "not all that surprising." Racism was created by and is practiced by people with low self-esteem, who feel superior by marginalizing people of color. Racism is pandemic.
...as a real estate agent in the 80's, I used to 'stage' million dollar properties (Las Vegas) and Property Manage them for daily rentals ...fully furnished with staff, cars, girls ...In those days 'that' would get you in trouble so I did it on the QT ...Hush Hush ...and always sinful ...I dared greatly (Teddy Roosevelt) ...Remember, "What Happens in Las Vegas ...stays in Las Vegas
I’m pretty sure you meant A”R” and VR for number 12. You said augmented reality and didn’t mention Artificial Intelligence as much. Just in case it was a mistake.
A few things I disagree if you are in a popular destination you don't need to go out all the way, just tell your guest that you providing necessary amandments and you keeping price low so they can afford to stay in a cities like Santa Monica or Venice, CA.
It would be nice if Airbnb would align with all the major tourisms actors and remove their fees if the trip is cancelled. It is definitely quite unfair to keep the money of a deal that just couldn't go through. So far, Airbnb is not moving anywhere near such a measure. Is money the only thing they understand? It had to come from the U.S.A. for sure...
I'm the victim from airbnb host.If you 're thinking of using the airbnb you have to keep in mind the fact that it's very likly for you to lose your money ,time or something.and the airbnb are not fair everyone who get damages .there is severe discrimination. Becareful airbnb. it's very risky
Good alternative to staying in a hotel. But then again it depends on both the host and the guest and how much they both understand the concept. However, to me ABNB are good in the sense that you don't have to rush checking out.But l have yet to try staying in a unit. ABNB is posing to be a serious competition to the hotel industry and governments are losing a lot of taxes because individuals who rented out their units as ABNB don't really report their income to the Income Tax Dept.🤔
air B&B,,, I have first hand experience they do not protect the owners of the property, contracts are very poor allowing the renter to cancel at any time, the air being in clientele is a low-end client looking for deals if you're expecting to rent out a beautiful property you're better off going to VRBO prepare your own contact with your own terms
Ok let’s back up check the 5:40 mark I recently read that in actuality they couldn’t afford the rent on their place and that’s when they decided to start up the Air BnB business previously named Air bed and Breakfast, I’m guessing 40k a year barely pays the rent in LA ......anyways
And real estate brokers get robbed beat up stalked etc but this is what happens when u have people doing something like this and report tje har theu get kicked off and if its criminal call the cops this can happen at any hotel also
The nice neighborhood who have kids will have the right to complain or lawsuit for the next door owner who let hundreds of strangers to live in the community. That is called zoning. Residential zoning not commercial zoning,
Anyone who still uses AirBNB after its first two years in existence is delusional. It is no longer the tight-knit, sheltered community that it was at its inception. Even renting to a celeb is risky because they have been known to trash your place, lend your house key to their friends without your permission or knowledge, and break your toilets and balcony doors.
Im a airbnb host. I had some bad, rude and picky guest. That wanted a 5 star hotel stay on a beer budget. Some got nasty with me. Abd some tried to book one 1 oerson. But had 2 or guest cimming. When my ad said only can have 2 guest. No more. But mist my guest were anti soical and hide in the room they rented and never spoke to me. Which I am alway here when peopke book my room from me. I never hand over my keys. I let all my guest in and out. Other then that I love meeting new people from all over the us abd world. But some are to picky. And what airbnb wants yiu to provide is sometime a little more then over the top. Yes your in the hospitaliy fiekd as a airbnb host. But some guest are disrespectful or expect to much
I literally Abhor AirBnB!!! Crap!!! Including the fucking tenants who destroyed rented houses!!! AirBnB doesn’t even come close to covering the damages! This is one of the worst apps!!!
