Kane’s flares on the ring posts used to signify a win or loss, if he came to the ring and did the action pre-match it signified he wouldn’t be doing it post match therefore a loss was coming. If done after the match then he’d be winning.
Mankind was robbed! He totally deserved that Man of the Year honour! Still deserves it TBH, he’s a legend and frankly just one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
Yes Mankind. He did nothing worthy to be man of the year. Even though he has done most of the biggest stunts ever. Him and the undertaker are the same age I think but Mick looks way worse because he risked his life daily in the 90s and some of the 2000s
Mick Foley not worthy? I guess achievements mean nothing to that “award”. Those votes are rigged anyway, which is why Foley was DQ’d from being voted for. Its all bogus. Besides, Foley doesn’t need that silly achievement. His career speaks for itself. He is a legend and no one can take that from him. He gave so much (including body parts) and earned every bit of praise and accolades he got. Mick Foley is a hero to the average everyday man. #FoleyIsGod
That’s bullshit!! The man entertained millions and millions of people and inspired so many!! He is also a genuinely good person unlike most who win man of the year!! Foley is God!!!!
Never say never with Cena and the IC title.. Keep in mind, WWE put the united states championship on Bret Hart (who couldnt even wrestle at that point) in 2009 just to make him a grand slam champion.
@@user-jr4gc2ou6g yes, they did. I watched ECW live and know from people who attended they killed the crowd mics and pumped in bullshit. Why else would they stop Extreme Exposé as fast if it was getting a good reaction?
16. Real American wasn't original planned to be Hulk Hogan's theme. It was originally written in plans of it being the them for a tag team of Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda aka the future IRS and father of Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas. The tag team was US Express, so just with the name alone, sure you could see it would have fit.
How Kurt Angle even managed to show up with his neck needing surgery is more mind blowing. It was a huge risk! And the bumps he took in that match were nuts.
Johnny Knoxville isn’t in WWE. He guest appeared. Michael Cole has been with WWE since the early Ruthless Aggression Era. He’s been with WWE longer than almost anyone else. And Cole is still there.
Are you kidding? He's one of the most celebrated wrestlers of all time, both in WWE and WCW. And deservedly so. He's a legend for being Hardcore, for doing some of the most iconic matches in history and for being everything good about a wrestler. He is NOT underrated.
@@babarazamsucks hows it feel to be undefeated at wrestlemania, brother!? I can tell you, personally, it feels grrrrrreaaat! Sorry, mixed up my late 80s early 90s pop culture reference
Paul Bearer (Percival Pringle III, AKA William Moody) also managed Mark Calaway when the latter was "Texas Red," years before The Undertaker character.
The Miz is awful! Can’t believe he ever won the WWE title and…twice. It really harmed the belt the first time around. He is good on the stick but a mid card wrestler at best.
I remember that edge and Kelly Kelly match live. It was a pretty good match. Probably gonna go back and watch it now bc of the memories I got thinking about that time😂
The other person who has a higher wrestlemania win percentage than the undertaker is snooki. Winning a 6 person tag match (teaming with John Morrison and Trish Stratus to take on Dolph Ziggler and LayCool)
So you’re telling me that Mick Foley lost part of his ear, went through a Cell, got speared through a flaming table, got thrown off a cell, got thrown on thumbtacks, got hit with a bunch of weapons for people’s entertainment and FIRMED IT EVERY SINGLE TIME, and he cant be a time man of the year?
Here is your answer: England Surname Distribution Map Place Incidence Rank in Area United States 38,862 1,130 England 11,387 675 Australia 2,855 1,410 Canada 2,638 2,060
It’s crazy that there was never a Cena vs Orton WrestleMania main event because that would’ve been the second WrestleMania main event where both wrestlers use their real names Well technically Orton, Cena, Johnny, Riddle, Shayna, Ronda, Chelsea, Bobby, Shelton, and kind of Candice (plus others) all use their real names so there’s a chance it’ll happen sooner than later but admittedly a lot of those wrestlers probably aren’t main eventing WrestleMania any time soon if at all
Right now yes, but when WWE put 2 or 3 alternate versions of Cody Rhodes; "Dashing" Cody Rhodes, Stardust, 2007 Cody Rhodes, Legacy Cody Rhodes for example, it won't be weird Remember the 4 Mick Foley faces on SmackDown vs RAW 2007, or the 3 Hogans at SmackDown vs RAW 2006?
Mick Foley certainly did a hell of a lot in 1998 to be considered Man of the Year! The only thing he didn't do was win the WWE Title, that wouldn't come until a few days into 1999.
6:42 crazier than Kozlov beating the undertaker clean was the fact that The Great Khali squashed Taker at a ppv already mentioned on this vid... judgment day 2006
Thanks for using the clip of the Atlanta Hawks bench going crazy after Larry Bird sank the crazy 3 from the corner when he went for 60 against them. That game wasn't at MSG, but it was in 1985! lol.
Funny thing is, there actually WASN'T a basketball game that night there. Did some digging for my own curiosity, and it was a Rangers/Leafs hockey game (a 7-5 win for New York if anyone cares lol). Knicks played there night before, and the college basketball NIT tournament had ended 2 days before on the 29th. Still an interesting footnote though, never knew the WWF's biggest show ever at the time in more ways than one, played second fiddle to another event happening the same day.
@@Oswald_lusambya77 don't forget, Mike "The Miz" Mizanin also an awesome movie star in The Marine movies which John Cena did much better job in the first one and he has two daughters seen in Miz & Misses who might wrestle like their awesome parents when they grow up or choose their own path.
Unfortunately right now it looks like he's feuding with LA Knight which is super over ATM. He's not looking to be getting himself over as to more working on putting up and coming talent instead. He's done it all.
If Tyler Bate, Akira Tozawa, Shelton Benjamin, Noam Dar, Drew Gulak, Shinsuke Nakamura and Johnny Gargano will be in a Main Event of future WrestleManias that will be possible😅
Gargano needs to be sent there immediately. His current gimmick is terrible and is completely boring. The fans tried to support him in the beginning but it's hard when he's so bad when he came back. The others not so much. But Drew MacIntyre is not main event bound anytime soon. 😊
Another fun fact, wrestlamia talks about WWE alot not only as a fan but also as a former superstar himself. He went from a 18 time champion to talking about it on RU-vid as WWE stupidity set him free due to budget cuts and he doesn't talk about it because he doesn't want to relive the incidents he's faced in his career
How did Mick Foley not do anything to deserve man of the year? I’d like to see whoever compiled the list for 1998 take two death defying bumps off Hell in a Cell…
another one. if WWE acknowledges their OG Grand Slam Format (97-15). Jeff Hardy is a 3x Grand Slam champion. Chris Jericho,Christian, HHH, Miz and Seth all completed it twice. and Jericho completed the grand slam the fastest from his debut to his Undisputed Title win that got him the accomplishment
The Undertaker is also not a Grand Slam champion, despite having won literally every title from either the old format. Sadly, that's an accolade he deserves more than anyone and will never get. WWE could also have Cena preform two great feats in one go as a final hurrah. Have him win the Royal Rumble so as to tie Steve Austin for the most Rumble wins and then work it so instead of a world title match, he goes for the IC belt and wins that at Wrestlemania and then finally truly retires. Time magazine might have disqualified Foley for having "not done anything worthy of the title" but the joke's on Time as it hasn't been worthy of reading since...well since the internet came about lol
Yup. Cena needed the Intercontinental title to be a Grand Slam champion. Gunther wanted to face him. So maybe, after Gunther get the record off Honky-tonk Man, he has to face his dream match.
Funny how some other wrestlers consider themselves Grand Slam Champions, when some of them haven’t held a I.C. Championship or Tag Team Championship, U.S. Championship or WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship. Another two example of this is Sheamus and The Miz. They have call themselves Grand Slam Champion, when Sheamus has never won a I.C. Championship or The Miz never winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
Time Magazine disqualifies Mankind from winning the Man of the Year award because he hadn't done anything to warrant winning it...yet they awarded it to H*tler in 1939, despite him already planting many seeds of war prior to the Polish invasion. Yeah, Time's "Man of the Year" will never have any credibility to me, and I'm surprised that anyone actually considers it prestigious
The Hardy Boyz once lost to the tag team titles to Los Conquistadores, who defended the titles against Edge and Christian the next night, and revealed themselves to be The Hardy Boyz. So they lost the tag team championships in a match to themselves.
Michael Cole isn't the only one undefeated at WrestleMania there's Corporal Kirchner , Wendi Richter , Fabulous Moolah , Tom Zenk all were one time appearances at WrestleMania but are undefeated at the event then there's Mr T and his two appearances he was the winner in both also Tatanka at WrestleMania 8 and 9 and surprisingly Virgil at WrestleMania 7 and 8 .
Something I realized if King does not shoot his flames off in the beginning, he wins the match. If you shoot it off in the beginning, he loses the match.
-Scott hall has never been in the royal rumble but razor Ramon has. -there are only THREE non title triple crown winners (rumble, mitb, and king of the ring). Sheamus, edge, and Brock -Christian and edge only do one man chair-toes as a tribute to the other. Even when they have other partners (RKO, AJ etc) when they try it. They’ll miss.
Orton stated he didn’t like his theme song & tried to change it. he presented a new song to the WWE & they tested it for a week & said it didn’t suit him so they went back to Ortons original theme. WWE then used the song for CM Punk. rough
I disagree I think “This Fire Burns” fits Randy’s character a lot. It plays off the old one with the burning references and it kinda shows how extreme he was supposed to be
I'm English and remember Googling Pete Dunne to see what part of the UK he's from. I feel like Americans love English people especially if Wade Barrett being English is the only reason he won King of the Ring 8 years ago. Creative should make an American gimmick or use Cody Rhodes actually and have him face Pete Dunn in an American vs English person match kinda like the student vs teacher and boy vs girl dodgeball games in PE. (But to be bias and historical the result will be the same as 1812 and 1963 😌)
