Just a small correction: vira lata caramelo is not a breed. Vira lata is just how we say mixed breed or mongrel in Portuguese. And caramelo is just the color.

as a Brazilian I am very happy that they put a Cachorro caramelo tattoo on Renato, very nice reference. and they also have famous brazilian voice actors instead of an american trying to speak portuguese, Seems like they actually cared about the survivors and the brazilian culture when making them. also, I'm autistic so that's a plus. definitely getting renato whenever I can. More information about the dog breed caramelo: Caramelo is not a breed of dogs, they're actually mixed. And they are often adopted from the streets because in most petshops you can only buy "real breeds" :( About the word "Caramelo". It translates directly to caramel, aka burnt sugar, commonly used in bakery. That's the main reason of why we call them "caramelo", because the color of their body fur is the same color as burnt sugar (caramelo). They're known to be playfull and docile, they only hate motorcycles. I need to say that they will bark the fuck out of you if you're riding a motorcycle, but the nano second you get out of the bike they will look at you with puppy eyes and become playfull and docile again. Last but no least: if you're carrying some good smealing treats, they will politely stare at you until you do something about it. Even the street dogs, they all just stare at your food, they dont bark ou attack or any agressive shit like that. They all just 👁️👅👁️ directly to you and your food. Hey mintskull! Since I don't see anyone else covering this and you like fun little details, something I noticed is that the skull merchant has a nightmare before Christmas reference. She has a score event when you down someone that's tracked by the drone I think. It says, "stalk, lock, imperil." Similar to the kids names from the movie called, Shock, Lock and Barrel. Fun facts for those who wish to know a bit more: - Although it is true that LOTS of japanese came to Brazil, 80% of them are settled in the state of São Paulo. Its so rare to see japanese in the north/northeast of the country. So the fact Adriana's mother settled in Fortaleza (northeast) is interesting. Btw Brazil has the largest japanese community outside of Brazil. We also have many italians, germans and other nationalities deep in south Brazil. If you look for the city of Gramado it looks like came out straight from Germany. - Renato and Thalita lore talk about Forró and it is a typical dance only found in the northeast. You will NOT find it in Rio, where the lore says they are from. - Renato and Thalita resemble the tyipical skin color and unique eye colors we have in most of Brazil, which was a nice touch, but the Kite thing? mmm... NOT. Many brazilians like me reacted in a baffled(?) way over this Kite thing because its not known here. We do have Kites and we fly kites as kids, but never knew of a business. Aside form that, I am just glad they didnt pit carnival or soccer into the lore because although famous in here, they are not loved by 80% of the population, I know I dont like any of them soccer and carnival.

Trapper bug on the new map: His traps can spawn in weird wedges under boulders, and they can't be interacted with. They can be reset but not walked into or picked up. Flawless.

I remember back in 2016 when I first started playing. The monsters outside always scared me because hiding along the edge of the map was the go-to strat back then. Glad to have that ambience back. I can't wait to nerd out over this to my girlfriend

There’s another thing you missed that I am unable to unsee as a result. The Skull Merchants hand in which she has her weapon is bent in a very unnatural way. However if you equip her very rare outfit, it is not an issue on that rig, I assume what’s going on is the game is confused and not realizing it’s the normal skull merchant outfit and not the very rare one, since the hands look fine there, while her default hand is just bent

I have a theory, maybe bhvr was inspired by the Brazilian model Adrianna Lima ? And maybe this is why the killer is beautiful. It's probably just coincidence but Adrianna Lima and Adrianna Imai ? Same Name at 2 letter, both Brazilian and both dark hair with light blue eyes ? + Bhvr show us with the Trickster that they was inspired by Kpop artists, so why not model?

Renato’s lack of scars may be an issue on Behavior’s part, but the entity does have a way of resetting things. In Detective Tapp’s lore, The Entity cleaned up his wounds that he received before being taken.

One of the Skull Merchant's addon, powdered glass, is a direct reference to kite fighting, and also a notoriously dangerous part of it. It's a mixture of glass and glue, adhered to a kite line, and there have been many instances of gnarly injuries associated with it, when it gets tangled up on someone, even nearly decapitating motorcyclists who might come into contact with a kite containing it. I find it's a nice display of a particularly dark side of brazilian culture related to kiting, and very appropriate for a cut-throat executive such as Adriana, even if she herself has no connection whatsoever to kite fighting.

Another fun fact that I hope they don't patch is that since they buffed Any Means Necessary, you can infinitely pick up pallets and every time you pick up a pallet, you get bloodpoints and can farm them for a while.

Another cool thing about this update is that they now play the full hook screams of each survivors, it’s not like before where only half of their actual screams would play before it cuts off because the hook animation was a lot shorter than the full scream, just a fact that I found cool and hopefully others do as well.

In the ptb I wasn't the biggest but honestly the more I play her in the live servers I kinda starting to enjoy her a bit more, I'm just trying to realize a less territorial build for her and a more chase oriented one which is not that easy.

Honestly, I can understand the hate and I know she was rushed, but I find the skull merchant very fun, I do wish they made some changes and balances to her, like maybe a timer on how long drones can stay active for in a search mode or a mechanic to punish survivors who stay in the range of a drone while locked on for too long. I’m not a dev but I feel there’s something that can be done to make her better

I don't know what to say but I like the new killer. I really find her power very useful and I get a lot of hooks and kills, even if I spared a lot of survivors and let them escape! The new survivors are great too! I don't know why players talk shit about Skul Merchant but especially on smaller maps she is very powerful! Did you guys notice that survivors scream much longer after they are hooked?

A little fun thing about the caramel dog, they are so loved dog here that it had a smal campgain to add them to our 200 bill (each type of bill here has a specfic animal that it's found in brazil, they're mostly wild animals, but it comes to show that most people love these dogs in the whole country

Chapter is great so far. The only thing I really dislike about it are the baffling scream changes. I'm guessing it has something to do with the Skull Merchant or a future killer?

Renato is my favorite survivor now because I share A LOT of things with him, I'm from Latin America and it just feels really nice to be able to connect with a character

You are correct about that DC character, but there is a problem. That character is based on a character from a novel.. That novel is a "Predator" novel. ( The character herself is one of the few humans that was taken in by one of the Yautja clans... Yautja being the name for the "Predator" race. )

My theory: screams are survivors in other trials

Chapter itself isn’t bad, but I absolutely hate this new killer. It’s really boring playing against her because every killer player just sets up her drones on a 3 gen. It’s sad because that’s really the only way you can play the killer. She’s just too weak to do anything but hold a 3 gen and I just don’t see how this gameplay is engaging for either side. With most other characters, you take a active role in making plays with your power. Even with debatable characters like Trapper and Hag, they have to strategize how you’re going to play your power but it’s far more passive than characters like Huntress, Oni, or Spirit. I just feel like the boring set up required to play Trapper and Hag was turned to 111% and that’s why the killer can’t do anything effectively but set up 3 gens. It’s just stupid slow down having to disable them all the time and in 90+% of the games I’ve played against her have basically just been attrition. I don’t know how to change her to make her more fun to play as and against but her current state just sucks imo. Is there some counterplay that I’m not using or seeing, because holding a 3 gen has been my experience vs this killer is almost every game and I’m just not sure what to do. I try to disable the drones for my team (typically staying injured to keep access to DH) but since there’s no cooldown or anything, she just goes back to the area I just deactivated and sets up another drone and walks away. And why should she do anything else? There’s no incentive for her to chase as a M1 killer. I think she flat out needs a rework.
