13 FUN FACTS about THE ALIEN DLC! 

Just a quick video showcasing some fun facts (and one not so fun) I found while playing the DLC! Xenomorph seems to be very strong based on my experience!

I think the reason why the hooks for xenomorph are always xeno hooks is for lore reasons. My guess as to how the entity makes the xenomorph hook survivors instead of just killing them is by making the xenomorph think the hooks are places for it to store survivors like it does in the movies. That's just my guess tho

"Is this a new standard or was the alien license too expensive" new standard definately as nic cage was also way more expensive and had a skin with it.

The reason turning the xenomorph around is disabled is because they don't want us staring at the queens... assets 👀

I think this entity goo appearing in new maps is a foreshadowing for the dbd film or a original chapter related to the lore

I personally like to think we have either a young Xenomorph Queen, or the Entity stunt her growth to prevent an infestation in it’s realms.

Another fun fact about the tunnels, is that on some dead ends, there are bursted Ovomorphs.

The thing about the Queen skin is I think she’s slouched forward more, when u start walking forward she stands up at full height for a second and she’s so big her head clips through the roof of doorways

Another cool thing I found out about the Grid Xenomorph skin, the Tail has Predator Blood. It may look similar to the Xeno Blood being green but these blood are more bright green, like lucent forest green. You can see it more clear in the store tab.

Another fun fact Is the fact that in the official image of the xenomorph, at the left side of the backstory of the character, in that image you can see the xenomorph skull with the eyes and nose. However I don't think you can see It in the 3d model of the character in game.

other secrets i noticed was, sometimes in tunnels mainly around dead ends sometimes you can find these broken ovomorphs eggs, and it might just be speculation but the green bits around the tail of grid may be predator blood

Clone/Ripley 5 and Ripley 8 are technically sisters, and I think that's amazing and creepy. I love that they opted for Clone 5 instead of that stupid-looking hybrid from the end of Resurrection. I'm glad BHVR and Monster Factory also took a stand against the actions of Old Jonah's VA. There had to be some serious weight behind those allegations for him to be punished that harshly and I'm glad they were having none of it.

tbh the Queen Xeno skin is more like a Xenomorph Princess, shes got the form but she hasnt fully grown ya know? also the AVP skin is really important to me cause it means that we might actually get some AvP skins for the survivors, also its more important cause its believed it could be actually teasing that Predator will be coming BUT what I'm more interested in is the fact that well the Predalien is also from AvP and I was actually expecting that to be a skin so I wouldn't be surprised if it comes later

Yknow what, I’ll say it. I liked the PTB chase music. Actually feeling like it came out of the franchise and fitting Alien, I wanted the sirens to still make it to Live. Like turn them down slightly to qualm people’s worries but the entirely new direction they took the music feels so generic and out of place. I no longer feel like I’m being hunted by an apex specimen from an alien planet.

I don’t think those are androids in the tunnels, those just might be the bodies of people

I love that they have lore for new licenses instead of just making it a collab, they actually have an explanation of why they’re doing what they’re doing and how the entity took them. Well done on this fantastic video!

They bundled the nick cage skin with it so I think they will do this from now on

I think that the alien queen skin could still give you away because how big her Crest is since it does make her a little taller but if we pretend that's not there she is the same height

I gotta say, I'm a little sad that the entire composition for Alien was removed, including the approach and near music. The chase music itself was pretty bad, movie reference or not, but the music I heard being approached by Alien in the PTB freaked me out when I first heard it. It definitely made me feel like I was in the movie itself. Now the new music is still fairly creepy, but not in an uncertain way; it's creepy in an overwhelming way. Eh. It's okay, but I'll prefer the PTB approach music anyway personally.

When I seen the Grid alien skin I was so excited because its from the AVP movie

I think the Dvarka Darkwood detail is there because maybe the Entity has little grasp on planets that aren't Earth since that's where all her victims come from, so she just puts them in the same sub realm for simplicity

ripley 8, tecnically, maybe the the strongest (physically talking) survivor in the game

I think the price of this dlc is the confirmation of a new standard. In case you guys have forgotten, the Nic Cage dlc was only one survivor but the price of that dlc was inflated a lot by including two skins making it as expensive as the new Alien chapter dlc. So the fact that they did again with Alien I suppose that this will be the standard price for all future dlc including chapter that come with just one killer or one survivor.

I imagine the reason the entity is able to control the Xeno Queen is because it is manipulating the Queen in such a way that the entity is making its will appear as a higher Queens control. I believe some aliens comics have something like super Queens

If we get a PredAlien legendary skin for the Xeno next chapter, I will be so happy.

The queen skin as basically a pretorian from the extended univers, pretorians are the xenomorphs protecting the queen and can become a queen should their mother die, they are smaller than the queen but taller than a drone and have a large head crest like the queen.

I wonder if perhaps The Entity didn't have much knowledge of outer space, and thus we had the two recent maps both in the Dvarka as that was the only way they could manifest the locations. If their power is growing stronger, they could probably keep picking killers/survivors from other parts of the universe in the future.

i wouldn't mind a size scaling tool option for the queen xeno, i want to be huge, if i lose i lose winning be damned.

wait, so does Ripley 8 count as a separate character? this was something I've pondered since the release, was that she was a different character from Ellen herself, while still being Ellen, if that makes sense also, predator in DBD? I'm here for it

The reason why all the hooks look the same is because xeno actually places it’s body all over almost every hard surface and coat it in the resin that it’s skin produces. It is actually saying that xeno has been at that location prior to the trial. Setting it up. That is why the tunnels are there too

Gird being in the game is the reason I suspect predator is the next license dlc

Xenomorph is my new most fun killer to play as and against. They really made the best out of it.

I noticed that if you attack someone on the secret escape pod room (the one that you enter with the keycard easter egg), you receive 250 bloodpoints, with the "unwanted guest" score event

I think it would be cool to see some live events or other ways of incorporating lore in gameplay

Being that Grid is part of the cosmetics it's really a possibility to have the Predator or Yautja if you prefer as a killer or maybe a cosmetics, if so Skull Merchant might be a good character for that she has drones and the wrist blade already

Great video as always, I am honestly one of the minority few that was bummed out that they changed Xeno's chase music. I thought it made for super intense encounters and it brought back that feeling of sheer terror. Thats just me though I completely understand how people think it got repetitive.

When i saw that skin for alien with the net marks i instantly thought about predator, i swear if they release him i wont play any other killers besides xeno and predator.

Another cool detail, on the new map in the mess hall where the Easter egg is, there is that orange webbing stuff that’s in RPD

If I remember right, there is at least one more xeno above the queen in the comics, so theoretically, the Entity could be manipulating the queen into believing that she is following the orders of the "Queen Mother" (I think that's what she's called?)

And in Nostromo map u can be jumpscared by a facehuger, and with Ripley hidding a locker u can find Jonesy (The Ripley Cat)

1:05 every xeno kill if there is no hive or the host is too dangerous, drone are called this way becose they are the working cast of the hive, they build the nest, catch hosts and help the queen taking care of the eggs

Seeing grid has me hoping for a “ predalien” skin from AVP requiem in a future update

thanks for that smash bros ridley reference. it makes me happy that other dbd players are nintendo junkies like me, i even play dbd on the switch (mainly because There’s no cross progression to pc from switch yet)

If they put this much work into all of the other license chapters imagine how good they could be

the entity being able to create entire oceans canonically is foreshadowing the bioshock chapter!!! - an insane bioshock fan

Ripley has two clones wow 😮 reminds me of how many times Peter was cloned. I love when characters have alternate versions of themselves even though a lot people thought Alien Resurrection was. For what it was at the time I thought was weird,cool and fun.

Queen Xeno is actually significantly larger in game as well. Put her next to a pallet and you’ll see the hight difference is very noticeable

3:40 I'm pretty sure this is due to her animations matching the Regular Xenomorph's, hunching her over and thus dropping her height.

0:10 there’s alien egg too, I found 3 eggs when I entered a tunnel, but the next match I couldn’t find it again. Idk if it hint for the survivors sacrificed (since I killed 3 survivor when I saw the eggs)

The back in action Ripley outifit is available in my in game store.. I'm confused now. I got Ripley with auric cells and the outfit is available to purchase for me.

The price difference on those dlc with very rare skin is +/- equivalent of 500 auric cells. And very rare skins in the shop costs 1080. In my opinion, if the characters can still be purchased for 500 ac, if bundled skin is 50% off, and if this allows BHVR to get more expensive licenses, I'm ok with that

I was thinking about this alien skin. I dont know which licence devs bought, since afaik there is at least few different Alien licences, tho im not sure who own which (maybe its all belonging to disney). Either way "Alien" franchise which Ripley is from, and "alien vs predator" which grid xeno is from, are two different licences. So either BHVR made legal faux pas, or they bought both licences (or i am poorely informed). If the second one is true, then Predator will arrive to one of BHVR games for sure.

Intern for behavior so far from I've heard this costed a lot like I mean a lot I don't know exactly numbers could ask but I'm antisocial but yeah the people who worked on this are truly amazing this took a lot of effort as well as you probably know this has been in the making for a year or so love the support

I'd like to think that Nic Cage & Alien were more just the IPs being so huge & the characters being such a big deal that the licensing was generally very expensive and its not gonna be the standard going forward but twice makes a pattern. It's gonna be hard to say until we get an original chapter. Maybe BHVR, in order to get better licensing deals, will start making licensed chapters cost more while OC chapters will still be the same price. We won't know for sure until we see some OC from them. I hope it's just because these 2 licenses required costing more as part of their license agreement but its impossible to say rn.

Btw the queen is more like a praetorian, except for the extra pair of hands and a tiny bit smaller headcrest, but obviously that wouldn't be a legendary skin because those don't really appear in the first 3 Alien movies

I have theory about price of Since i start playing 3 years ago,dlcs prices werent changed since then. Inflation came and price should be higher but devs didnt wanted to Rage ppl so they gave cosmetic to it, but it didnt help But i'm sure if they just said it, they would'nt even have to give cosmetic

I think the skin is less about predator and more about putting more cosmetics available for players. When it comes to xenomorphs there's not much difference visual wise between em, they all look the same. So to add cosmetics to make it different it only makes sense the one alien that looks different that got cut by the net, it a cosmetic in game. Hell I knew it would be in game before the chapter came out on console to see for myself in the store.

With the immaculate quality, fun, and engagment of this chapter, i have no personal issues with the costs.

I don’t mind the price increase for the DLC with an outfit included, especially it being a license, I main killer so I would have liked the option for a dlc pack with a killer outfit

I wish they wouldve used the Praetorian skin instead of Queen or Raven xenomorph (The Skull-faced one from Aliens: Colonial Marines)
