My daughter's also 16. She doesn't do card tricks but she regularly makes my car keys and wallet disappear. I still haven't figured out how she does it. (Great job, Amanda!)

Fooling Penn and Teller is hard enough but trying to fool them with a card trick is like doubling down. In fact they should have a special "You Fooled Us with a Card Trick" trophy. Congrats and great job!

I'm a rusty old amateur magician, so I'm familiar with how to do most card tricks. I have NEVER seen anything like this before. It was mind boggling. And the fact that she developed this herself, at 16 years old, just makes it more mind boggling. She should keep at this, and become a magic designer.

How dedicated and smart of Penn and Teller to keep up with all of the latest Magic by having it personally demonstrated to them

It's always so refreshing to see young people invent new card tricks. Also, its refreshing to see more women involved in magic in general! Very well done!

The only obvious part was when she held up the piece of paper, switching the printed deck for a real one with the other hand under the table. Everything else blew my mind. Well done.

I love how the routine plays into the audience. Setting up expectations, letting them sit just a few seconds before upending them with yet another twist.

I was with you right up until the dribble and then I was going “Okay. So this is real magic. Easy. She’s a witch.”

Don't ever stop doing magic! You've got a real gift, and it's a real accomplishment to fool P&T. When I think that because of this, you get to appear in their Las Vegas show, it just blows me away.

I absolutely love layered “answers” to a magic problem. This was masterful. Holding up the paper in the middle was great misdirection to set up the last fix. AMAZING!

The most magical thing about magic is knowing it's not magic, but being mystified anyway. I don't know how she did it, but man was it entertaining to watch.

That is a really good magic routine. The ending got me. I was like "Ok I didn't see the paper cutout thing coming the first time...that's cool trick" then BAM I was fooled a 2nd time by the same thing.

Beyond her technical skills, her level of poise on stage was better than a lot of the adult magicians that appear on there.

I always love the style of how Penn tells the magician they fooled them. Great trick!

Coming from a fellow magician, this was a great trick and a couple endings fooled me as well on first watch. She’s going to be big time famous, if that’s what she wants. Either way, she’s going to be successful in life!

What a cute routine! Truly original. This girl is aware of her strengths and leveraged them here. The misdirection of having a black table with a black mat was fantastic! She didn't even use it. The reaching under the table for absolutely nothing multiple times. The inconsistencies like the never ending deck spread which was discounted for cuteness. You don't need large hands to do sleight of hand. Just the concept. I enjoyed everything about this routine

I don't remember what I was doing at 16 but it certainly was not that. Are there improvements that could be made? Sure. But...16. A LOT of time to evolve. High praise. Just the confidence to be on that stage, at that age, is impressive. Assembling a plot from an engineer's perspective, even better. Anyone negatively critiquing this from their sofa was probably not on television at 16. Well done. Follow your passions, whatever they may be.

Always warms my heart to see female magicians doing well on pen and teller and especially when P&T are fooled.

All things considered - she is extremely impressive, and so is her original unique trick. I am in awe

Congratulations! Great trick which gets progressively harder to figure out. First part was pretty obvious, 2nd one was bit blurry, and by the end I was fooled like a baby - and that's with few rewinds. I can only imagine Penn and Teller missed things as they didn't even expect so many stages of the trick in the first place. Really well done

I love seeing the Joy on Teller's face when he sees something new - even if he then works it out, that moment of joy on his face is superb

I loved their first look at each other when she was done. Penn's look at Teller was saying, "Well, she got me, but I'm sure the kid didn't get you." Teller's look was "Wait a second...How did she do that last bit?"

i can see when she switches between decks and that's only because i can replay it multiple times, but to actually do this in front of Penn and Teller and to fool them, that's just amazing

I love the little laugh Penn lets out right at the 4th ending, realising he was no idea how it was done.

Great work! Once she gains more confidence and has a more relaxed flow to her narration, she’ll be unstoppable.

This was a great trick, original, I liked how there were the 4 different endings, each adding on to the previous and each blowing my mind. Then learning that Amanda invented it - I'm even more impressed! Can't want to see more from this magician.

I thought the most impressive part was keeping your composure as you find out that you've won what is, essentially, the Nobel Prize of Magic.

I think the thing P&T were most impressed with was the transition from cards to printed paper…the laugh of surprise on the last transition was a giveaway as to whether Amanda fooled them or not.

The camera did you no justice 4:09, zooming in so much that it revealed a portion of the trick! Nonetheless, it was such a smart strategy by you to have had so many layers to the trick such that even if they figured out how you did several parts of the act, as long as they couldn't figure out one (major) aspect of the act, they should consider themselves fooled. Sounded like Penn was basically following along the whole time but couldn't figure out your very last finishing move. Great act and well played.

I'm very smart and somewhat autistic. I look at things in different ways and sometimes see things that Penn & Teller missed. BUT, in this case, you fooled me too! The whole time, I was thinking, okay, even if she didn't full THEM, she fooled ME. But you fooled them, too! This is a REALLY astounding effect that is so good, one could easily accuse you of doing actual magic. All good wishes!

I love this. I've seen probably hundreds of card tricks, honestly I'm usually immune to the magic of card tricks because I tend to pick up on things they do, with slight of hand. But this is refreshing, I'm sure I could figure it out after watching it over and over again, but the last 2 endings I was completely lost on my first view. I really hope you keep up with magic throughout your life as you go to school and pursue the career you want. Plus you could even just do small magic tricks for your coworkers on break. Even if you don't pursue a career in magic, you are definitely talented and it can be used for all kinds of entertainment.

I’ve watched this many times, a total joy to see, so clean, so amazing and I have to say this is one of the best card tricks I’ve ever seen. And I’ve been watching magicians do card tricks for about 50 years. What a brilliant talent and I wish you all the best in your future careers, whether it’s engineering or magic!

What was most impressive to me wasn’t the magic, or her age, or the fact that she creates her own tricks, but her modesty. She obviously didn’t think she’d actually fool P&T, was just happy to be performing her routine for them, is set on becoming an engineer and maybe having magic as a pastime, not a career. Actual career magicians can’t fool P&T with lavish set pieces, lots of misdirection and highly-polished banter, and this young woman does it with an inventive card trick and straightforward (though slightly nervous) delivery. I think as an engineer she can create even more successful, imaginative tricks. Those engineering skills can only help her future in magic!

I do really like how they let the performers share the videos on their own channels. I think that shows great class. Also it make me giggle when I see such an aggrandizing title on the magician's own video. 🤣
