I saw this file in my local Stihl dealership a while back and honestly it just looked very "plastic" and gimmicky. Boy was I wrong!
Stihl 2 in 1 .325 pitch amzn.to/3nRjSEI
3/8 pitch amzn.to/3l6TNQc

I have to admit, I learned something about the rakers watching this video. Only about 20yrs after you learned it :). Thanks for the tip!

Been using one for a year. 3 strokes per fill up. I never could do good free handing and now I can get a better edge than when I take it the saw shop! Worth every penny. It makes me feel good knowing you use one. I kinda thought I was cheating

It feels like cheating doesn’t it! I wish I would have bought it the first time I saw one!

The Big Guy didn't look like he was having any fun...lol I learned something today. I knew you could sharpen a chainsaw blade but didn't know how. I just buy a new blade. Hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving...

He was focused on his ale8-1 the entire time. I laughed like crazy while editing. It’s like he was in disbelief that I let him have one. He just sat there and drank it the entire time, lol.

Glad to hear it’s working for you. It will be my go to system from now on. So easy! I’m also with you on touching up every fill up!

Happy Thanksgiving! These look great. Are they available for all chain pitches?

You too! I’m not sure, I only have .325 and 3/8 as that’s the only chains I own.

So here's my deal with these..been using them for several years now and unfortunately after using for a while they fail. They fail in that the plastic "caps" that hold the files in lose their ability to "lock" and keep the files in place. Eventually those files will push out every time you go to file. Really bummed about it bc those puppies aren't the cheapest tool in the toolbox. 🤷‍♂️

I can really see that happening. The plastic handles is kinda what made it look “gimmicky” to me. That being said, I’m willing to spend a little extra if it makes my life a lot easier and so far this thing has been great. I went through and sharpened every chain I own just because I was enjoying myself, lol.

@@shaweehillsworkshop4226 oh I hear ya! I was the same way. Wish there was one with some kind of metal end cap- I'd pay extra for it if it was more durable! Running a logging & custom sawmill bizz for years we've tried about everything. Maybe I should just patent something myself? 🤔😜

@@MountainRoots I would love to talk to you about your logging/sawmill operation. It's something I am very interested in.

Looks like a good guide that actually works. I've used those old style with the wooden handle, they've never really worked that great. I've been eyeing an Oregon bench top chain grinder on Baileysonline.com for a while, but $30 sounds better than $250. Thanks for the review and demo. Do you have a Amazon link to them for your channel?
