Thanks for the thorough review of each game! Can't argue with Loopz, CM2, and Super MC being your top picks. Also I actually designed the entire Remnant game, and agree with your feedback. I still hope someday to make a sequel which will have more enemies and features. Glad you were able to make it to the boss. ;)
I’ve really been enjoying this cart. I never had a Lynx growing up but I’ve been having lots of fun, playing this game. Well done on Remnant-cool pick up and play.
Thank you for keeping the Lynx alive all these years. It meant a lot to me in the early 2000s when I was still playing Lynx and was able to get new games. I was blown away with how good Alpine Games looks and it's a great game as well. But man I'd love to get may hands on Raiden.
Most games on this collection I've never heard of. Of course, Dracula I've played. They even say that's Christopher Lee on the title screen. I still hope they bring Klax on Vol 3 (hopefully)
This may well be one of the best ways to play Lynx games - handheld device, original cart, but _way_ better display and ergonomics. Cybervirus feels like it is having strong Battlezone vibes to it, which may not be a coincidence, considering that Battlezone was also made by Atari, if my memory is correct. The slow framerate, while it could stem from the hardware limitations, seems to be an intentional design feature in some games. The display on the original console had very strong ghosting effect to it, which may have blended these sharp frame transitions and artificially smoothen the game. With the ghosting removed on a modern system, the low framerate becomes noticable and annoying.
I was over the moon when I saw they had not one but two Lynx collections to total 25 games between them, but there's a lot of meh games in there and they are missing a stack of the system's best games. Where's Shadow of the Beast, Roadblasters, STUN Runner, Toki, Steel Talons, Desert Strike, Kung Food, Pit-Fighter, Hydra, Switchblade II, Xybots? The 2nd cart only has 8 games on it compared to the 17 on this one, too, yet they still cost the same. While there are some good games across the two carts like Power Factor, Todd's Adventures In Slime World and Chip's Challenge, there's quite a few stinkers in there. If there's ever a Lynx volume 3, I expect to see most of those aforementioned games on it. Until then this is a pass from me.
@@CrowContinuum Nice, I might have to grab this collection then, as I really liked CR2 when I had a Lynx. I do hope they make a collection someday with APB on it, that was my favorite game on the system.
Did you play these Lynx games on the tv or the evercade screen itself? I’m going to play more of these on my evercade, but been playing the current gen stuff instead.
Anyone have the problem of the Tennis game not booting up? All other games work fine. Tennis just stays on a black screen. Any ideas on how to fix this?
