I did demolition work, asbestos abatement, solar panel installation and scaffold building in my 20s.. I eventually got into an ironworkers union and loved it.. Working on skyscrapers in NYC was great and I learned the history of the industry of it dating back to the influence of the indigenous ppl in the field.. Unfortunately I ended up in a car accident and was afraid I would lose my back too young on the job, so I had to resign 😢 But less than 3 weeks later I was offered a tuition free opportunity to attend nursing school, so that’s what I did.. I’m now a travel nurse but I do miss working labor jobs.. I joined an apprenticeship to become a mortician, but I’m heading to agriculture now to do skid steer , landscaping and husbandry.. I prefer labor work and she will learn that plenty of women work in hard labor.. I like to stay busy, so I left most of the childcare and home duties to my husband 💯💯
