A child??? You always hear the children’s stories but this is the first time I have ever heard a woman be upset with her child for being with her adult partner rather than recognizing the situation as the abuse/assault that it is. Absolutely heartbreaking.

I know the laughing for no reason is probably part of your personality, but you need to check yourself, and be real and be on the same page as your interviewees. Evaluate your own self brother, and stop being selfish, and connect with these people on a more serious level, I bet you will begin to blow up more. So, be real with yourself first. I promise they will feel more comfortable with opening up to you more, without you having to use words to gaslight them into giving it up. You are appearing to be a little bit of a fake individual. This life is too serious for giggles and laughs, especially for your interviewees.
If I ever become a widow, I will not date until both of my daughters are out of the house. I’m not even surprised this happened because my moms ex tried that 💩 with me when I was 19. I know everyone is blaming just the man but I heard stories from women who had similar situations. The daughter is not innocent and she was not groomed. Some daughters are purposely going after these men because of competition, money and fulfilling a fantasy. They will both reap what they sow.

They all need therapy. Unpopular opinion but the daughter is an adult now and is choosing to be in a relationship with her abuser. She’s no longer a victim but a willing participant. The whole situation is unfortunate.
You interview drug addicts, why do you want reasons for what they are doing when they can only be irrational? She's from a home of addicts and naturally continues the culture, she's simply where you expect her to be.
Ok, I think she was on drugs when her child was coming up. If this is true I believe her live in boyfriend knew her daughter didn’t have all the things she needed and wanted that the other kids her age had. With that being said the mom boyfriend used that to his advantage and started giving the child money and doing other favors for her. And that’s where it began. Once she became an adult he was still her go to person. Who knows mom could be leaving many things out on areas she herself was at fault, or negligent as a mother which led to this behavior.
