You missed the Spider-Man reference that happens during the first fight we see between Deadpool and Wolverine! The scene shows Wolverine trying to hit Deadpool and Deadpool dodging. What was easily missed is that this mirrors the scene between Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker and Joe Mangniello's Flas Thompson!
Does it bother anyone else that they removed Wolvie's sleeves but didn't keep the shoulder guard things the way it looks in the comics? Why'd they do it that way?
The black suited bald man looks a LOT like Bullseye from the Affleck Daredevil film, and given both he and Elektra are rumored to be in this, it makes sense that Bullseye'd be there too.
That was Colin FArrell. Michael Clark Duncan (RIP) was Kingpin. I was thinking one of the cast from XMOrigins, John Wraith? or Bedlam (Terry Crews) from DP2?
I hope Cassandra nova is kinda like the the red skull in old man logan where she has a room of superhero memoribilia and they'll catch her goofing around with the caps mask or shooting Falcons wings with hawkeyes bow.
I'm hoping for a new song from Steven Page in this one. Last time was fellow Canadian Celine Dion. After that, Ryan got an award and Steve wrote "Canada Loves You Back", which was just as hilarious. Maybe a little Tom Cochrane or Letterkenny nod, at least? (Life is a highway = ROAD TRIP!! Allegedlys. ...and now I NEED Squirrelly Dan as Blob!)
This is probably the most anticipated marvel movie for me since Spiderman No way Home. As much as I hate to say it Marvel has really took a deep dive of late, though I do admit X-Men 97 has really surprised me.
I'm pretty sure Wolverine wasn't welcome in the bar because of whatever he did that let the world down. Probably failing to stop Phoenix in this timeline, or something.
I really want Juggernaut from X-Men: The Last Stand to show up in this movie. It was so stupid, but it would be hilarious here. Especially after fighting a superior version in DP2.
Deadpool get the mask with the white eyes. I SERIOUSLY hope Wolverine gets the winged mask like you said and gets the white eyes just like in the comics! It’ll definitely elevate the movie if they do!!
Look at the portal they jump through. Look at the concrete wall on the right side. There is a hole they also jump through that has some passing familiarity with Carl (the Guardian of Forever). Maybe I'm just seeing things but a portal in a portal.... could be.
Speaking of Hulk, Old Man Logan the comic, and this new movie, what are the odds Marvel/Disney would allow them to even reference the Hulk and She-Hulk family we see in that comic series in this movie? If you don't already know, go look it up and have fun lol.
Just to go on the car thing. The hood ornament seems to be the iron man logo instead of hydra and the flame decals are very similar to the hot rod Tony had in his garage in the first two iron man films? Just speculation but mmmaaayyybbbeee??
This is literally the only place outside of spiderverse I trust them to make obscure character chameos. What if they do gwenpool but also Miles Morales Thor? I have high expectations for this movie taking the piss.
I could be imagining this, but it looks like the bartender is David Harbour. I'm sure it's meant to be in another universe, so it may not matter, but given he was in the Black Widow movie, I'm wondering if that might play into anything.
IF The Publisher's Russian villain is in this movie, PLEASE let it be Kevin Nash as the character again! He got freaking STABBED FOR REAL making that movie, he should play him here too!
I wonder if it's a different Wolverine, than the one that died in Logan. Or if Deadpool went back in time, and saved him, or if its a different version. I do hope they address it somehow. But I wouldn't be surprised if they don't.
Decent presentation and list, bit overkill on the "down in the comments" plugs. I get why, but maybe not a dozen plugs. ;p Push too hard and people get motivated to do the opposite.
3:45 my theory on the let his world down… X-Men Origins Wolverine. Not only are they referencing that had that movie gotten better reviews inspite of the global box office return it would have resulted in multiple X-Men Origins movies (fairly certain Storm was next) but when Deadpool jumped to kill the embarrassment that was supposed to be Weapon XI, he erased the entire ending of that movie. No alliance with Sabertooth, no loss of memory, no confused path that set Logan to meet the X-Men under the circumstances he did. Maybe even that he didn’t wear the iconic suit earlier. The blame will be pointed at Wolverine but in reality will be a meta commentary on Fox messing up the X-Men franchise so badly.
I still don’t really understand what people mean by “mess up”? It was its own universe with two separate timelines. If you just take the movies for what they are, they’re a fun way to waste your time. The heroes/villains were mainly recognizable, but it told its own story. If you try to compare them to the comics, then yes you’re gonna be disappointed. Even the MCU wasn’t comic accurate most of the time, yet nobody claimed that the MCU messed up. Just like they did with the prior Spider-Man movies, I’m glad they’re making a logical case for multiverse being canon and that the Fox-verse X-Men movies are indeed valid within the MCU.
I've heard a lot of people comment that it's "obviously" a Canadian bar, because of all the flags. Fact is I'm a native Californian but, my mum was Canadian (and my Dad an Aussie), and I lived in Toronto (and England) shortly before becoming a teen. And in the (many) years since I've been to many a bar & pub, and in my experience the one's that display a countries symbols and flags are often outside the actual country. (I once had a favorite pub in California where the owner was British, and proudly displayed many pictures / flags of England.) As always thank you so very much all for the videos. "Best super-hero suit in a movie?" Captain America's (Steve Rogers / Chris Evans). (But I've long been a big "Cap" fan.)
Looks like you took up the snobbery mantle. Ewan’s made no secret over the years he prefers DC over Marvel. And lately, Marvel has been deserving of the criticism for lack of quality. And this is coming from someone who enjoyed Falcon WS & absolutely loves X-Men 97. They’re capable of doing better than She Hulk & a Disney singing number in the Marvels.
@@Bman32x It’s one thing to criticise something, it’s another to act like something is a plague on film that needs to be dealt with & that an entertainment company is The Third Reich.
Not really false advertisement - as an “icon” the mask is easily identifiable. If they would have just put Hugh Jackman’s face as the other half of the “together pendant” then it wouldn’t have been as iconic.
