The genus Datura, with 9 to 12 known species, occurs widely throughout the temperate and warmer parts of both the Old and New World. The plants produce large white to purple tinged trumpet flowers and spiny round seedpods (thornapple). Daturas have been used as poisons, medicines, and ritual intoxicant agents since time immemorial. Each species has its own characteristic strong narcotic tropane alkaloids (typically scopolamine, atropine, daturine, and stramonine), which also make them among the most dangerous and poisonous plants known. Meteloidine is the principal hallucinogen, but it is only abundantly found in one of two species. Ingestion of even small quantities of any plant parts can cause delirium, frenzy, powerful hallucinations, coma, and death.
I sure would keep him, I love him already. This is a beautiful property, I could live there and be happy but sadly, it is too late in life for me to have so much house and property to care for. Whoever buys this place is a very fortunate person.
Watching your videos is definitely changing my mind on what I want when we can eventually buy a property move to Portugal and what area. I thought I wanted acres of land etc but watching your videos has changed our goals quite a bit and this place looks phenomenal.

@@destino2portugal we want to be able to sustain ourselves and be self sufficent and we want to bring in a little money via tourism etc and want people to be able to east from the land like us but I also want to be able to enjoy life and not be having to be constantly working the land. Something like this I think would be perfect and the area that you film in seems excellent, we had been looking at Leira/Pombal recently.
@@martynsmithson1546 that's the perfect blend, holidays that are more green with fresh fruit and vegetables available grown in a more natural way, no chemicals. Coimbra, Tomar and this area is stunning, green, clean water and air, it's great and close to the two cities which are both magical.
Gorgeous property that was well built and maintained. Having the second separate bedroom with bath as a guest accommodation for family or friends is nice. Plenty of storage and workrooms on the ground floor. The property does feel more like a vacation home than a full time home though with the limited kitchen and no real dining area. The courtyard garden and terrace gardens are wonderful.
The house I'm currently renting has the forced air heat/cooling and it's amazing. You forget it's even there, the house is just kept a comfortable temperature. It's been extremely inexpensive to run too. Beautiful home and what an amazing view!

That’s a huge master suite bath , you could almost put a linen cabinet in there , it would be nice to have stairs inside so you can get from the laundry to main living in winter . Luv this property

We actually found this property the other day and love it. There is some issue with the land about being shared with someone i think. Can you clarify by any chance? I love this house. Your not allowed to video other houses its apparently illegal. Watching this for the 5th time, it might not be shared. But there is something to do with the 5th part of the property from what i understand

Very nice home. I like that it is electric. As you said, the world is finding that depending on gas and oil is not a great idea. Portugal has ability to produce hydroelectricity and solar. It makes it all the more "purrfect" that it comes complete with a beautiful kitty.

@@destino2portugal A telescope or some sort of high powered lens would be great to keep setup on this balcony to watch all the wildlife on this beautiful property. I am doing great and enjoying the beautiful summer weather. On a completely different note. Nick I don't know anything about heating systems in Europe but the system in this house made me think that it could possibly be a water source heat pump. Two things that made me think this is the fact that the outside unit is located next to the water mine. also the unit says "Carrier AquaSnap". Some of those are water source heat pumps. Water source heat pumps are very efficient and pretty expensive to install. It could be a selling point if this is what it is.
Best value property you have presented. Scope for two separate self contained units for letting, plus owners accommodation for £155K. Such a beautiful setting with mature garden and lovely courtyards. In Cornwall, if you could get such a property, you are talking closer to £1Million. Sounds like you were impressed with this one Nick. Be interested to know what you thought of the building quality. You are getting really good at filming and presenting - hope it sells to someone who watches your channel and you get bit back. You are developing respectful relationship with the agents you feature I feel.

Fabulous place. Is it already sold? My only concern or doubt is the forest being quite close (bushfires), are there many risks there because of that? What is going on with the empty houses next door? Who belongs them? Will they be sold in future to other people? (Potential of many neighbors and no more privacy?!?). How is the situation with this? Are there plans selling the other houses for development in future from the other owners or are these empty houses belonging to the property, when one would buy it? Fire is a concern throughout Portugal, if your land is cleared properly you should be ok. The other houses are empty, there are so many empty houses throughout Portugal it's impossible to know what will happen with them. If they came up for sale you would have first option by law to buy them as your property borders them, that's the law here. I hope I have answered all your questions 👌

I think the house is fantastic, having lived in Scandinavia for many years, I am used to "varmpumpen" I never found them overexpensive to run, and anyway one could hook it up to solar panels, This beautiful property and land is however slightly over my budget...BTW did I miss something, how do you contact Fernando? i am in the same position. My cat came to me and now she owns the house and bosses me around. But I would never leave without my cat. She is coming with me. Superb house and cheaper as in Belgium. Although I live in the Ardennes which is also beautiful. But if I get a good price I move to Portugal
Hello :) I kind of got confuse wen he mention it's 1/5 at the end, as far as I know that means 1 owner of 5 owners and not 1 part of 5 parts, it sounds like that's the part of land that belongs to the house but it doesn't work that way, wen the title Land Registry Title says 1/5 its 5 owners for the described property like a heritage were the family of 5 takes the property own by a parent with a vertical property title like he is the only owner then after he passes away the heritage becomes 5 owners for one property until there is Partilhas/shares or property shares/divisions like, wen there is 1/5 there is no stipulated boundaries the property don't get divided it still is in horizontal property 5 owners one land/property, if one owner own the complete thing it would be vertical property like a building were one person owns the entire thing it means is in Vertical Property no Horizontal Property, wen there is people owning each apartment/flat it's Vertical Property. so there is 5 owners there and all have to sign to sell the property.
I honestly don't know Ricardo, you would have to speak with Fernando about these legalities and terminologies, I'm just a cameraman 😉 Thanks for asking though ☺️
