@@markmccoy1512 🔴 What Is Islam? 🔴 Islam is not just another religion. 🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. 🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. 🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. 🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. 🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: 📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) 📚 🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. 🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him. This made me really miss my dad, who died aged 93, 6 yrs ago. He would have loved to see this restoration. My dad could fix most things and used a metal lathe as well as this guy to make replacement parts.
This one had a bit of everything - cold, bluing, heat treating, nickel plating, knurling (never enough knurling..) with the pièce de résistance (yes, I know I'm mixing languages) being the recreation of the label. Outstanding and enjoyable...
I watch a lot of these restoration videos. My Mechanics is usually the best but this was very familiar to his style and I liked it. I also liked the time-lapse of the paint being removed, that was a nice touch!
My mechanics is one my favorites because of how much a perfectionist he is, his work is always a pleasure to watch. I agree this video is very similar to his style. I’m sure he is doing his best to get on My Mechanics level. Overall great restoration 👍
I'm so glad you added the sticker as proof that you restored it I swear, my jaw is always all the way down to the floor when I watch your videos. Awesome job!!!
I wonder how many people fell while trying to weigh themselves before we developed flatter scales. This restoration was so interesting to watch and the final piece of you trying it out to show how it works is so satisfying.
Great job at not cutting corners, just as my mechanics. Your camara work goes one up from my mechanics though. The timelapse of the paint bubbling up was high class. Keep up the good work, will definitely keep following this channel. As long as you don't cut corners I will keep following. Some copy cats try to do what you and my mechanics do but they all cut corners. You two are the only one I follow in this genre! 💪🏻
One of the better restoration videos I’ve seen lately - very nice job on both the project and the video. I’m both an amateur restorer and machinist, so I especially like projects that combine the two. Thank you! 👍🏼
It is lovely to see these wonderful old items, fully restored and in use. From an age when things were truly built to last. I hope this was as satisfying for you to complete, as it was for us to watch. God bless you, from UK
@@kyrab7914 My house has an 8" diameter Asbestos flue pipe from the ground to the attic space, and I have used lead all my life to make fishing weights, and shot for muzzle loading. Provided you wear safety equipment when stripping these toxic things you will be fine. I am very old but still here.
@@KennethNicholson1972 Yea and there's plenty of people put there that have straight died from cancer caused by asbestos and from lead poisoning. There's a reason those things are no longer used. I have also used lead for most of my love but I'm thrilled it's not used for paint any longer.
Great job. It is not overdone (as you wrote: not newer than new). Beautiful result. I enjoyed watching the treatment of these little balls or spheres in the wooden mold. Very practical an funny.
Interesting, the scale reminds me of a postal scale, nice restoration, glad to see you keeping the original color, just keep doing what your doing and carry on 👍👍👍😎😎😎
The scale looks great now. My congratulations. It's always a lot of fun watching you at work because you do everything very neatly and conscientiously.👍
Mille fois BRAVO!!!!!
A lovely job on a unique item. I appreciate that you don't remove all the age from an item. Some small casting marks, minor pitting, a little wear all show the item wasn't made yesterday. Things that are old should be allowed to show some age, or at least that's theory I use on my personal appearance! Excellent work!
I am always amazed by the variety of skills you possess from machine lathing small parts, rust removal, paint removal, nickel plating, etcetera. I watch your videos to relax. Thanks for sharing.
I watch a fair number of these and I'm always befuddled that no one seems to use an impact driver for screws, they do all kinds of manipulations trying to free them. I was actually surprised to see you pull one out. I've had one in my toolkit all of my life and I'm 63.
Sounds like you know a lot! Would you happen to explain the difference between him spray painting the piece vs. Powder coat? I thought maybe the spray paint would scratch easier? Cheers!
if you use it couple of times numbers will come closer to the new. also dont use chemicals or electrolysis at springs and steels it makes them harder and more brittle (maybe thats why you have the difference) only blasting. Perfect job. P.S. you should have left the "message" for the next one.
Beautifully done, I love how you do your best to preserve as many of the project's original parts as possible while making sure some obvious failure points, like the needle on this scale being cheap stamped metal press-fit on the dial, are improved upon if needed, in this case replaced by a sturdier cut-out and a brass nut.
love this restoration! I love how your crafting extends beyond mechanical. e.g.Felt on the bottom of a drawer was the most elegant solution. glass cutting, fabric cutting, net weaving more please!
That restoration was wild! I really liked the sewing machine-like-saw; never seen one like that. Also the torch animation was a cheeky little touch lol. Only thing left you need to work on is that tapping tool dismount 😆
watching all these restoration videos, i cant help but wonder --how do they put everything all back together, with so many pieces and screws btw an incredible job. well done
What a great video. Thanks for showing us such cool thing that were made in the past. I'm a bit fan of late 19th, early 20th centuries. The charm of Victorian era style is just fascinating.
''theres life inside ^^'' *continues to take out their life and their home and tore the rest down* amazing.. BUT KEEP UP THE WORK, THESE ARE AMAZING, i never even knew these existed
The work that you put into this is extraordinary. I would have never tried to restore ball bearings no matter how loose their tolerance was. Very commendable, great job.
Wow! That was an amazing restoration on this old bathroom scale. Your attention to detail blows my mind. You really are a true Craftsman/Artist. This scale came out incredibly gorgeous. I really enjoyed watching your work. Thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to your next video. Stay safe and stay healthy.
I dont know why but i get the sense you have a dry sense of humor. Strange thing to get from this. I admire the skill and appreciate the video. Thank yoy
I have my doubts on this scale being able to support someone like the dude in the advertisement… 😓 Fantastic job on the restoration, though!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Having watched a few of your videos... you're clearly a Magician and this is all Black Magic. You've made some kind of Faustian Deal and now you are able to restore the unrestorable. Good show.
Un vrai bonheur de vous voir sauver ces beaux objets. Pour information il y avait toujours un morceau de papier ou de journal derrière les miroir, pour éviter les vibration et absorber l'humidité qui pouvait abîmer le teint des miroir anciens.
