Hi in this video I thought it would be interesting to go over the clutch it’s components and how it works within the tractor pulley before I install it in the tractor ,hope it’s of interest thanks . Sorry for the half view of the driver near the end ! .

Nicely explained David , gonna have to pull the clutch on my A at some point it sounds like a bucket of old bolts ! Putting it off because of moving the back wheel out on its shaft have heard they can be a swine to shift spes if they haven't moved for years .

Mat Naylor yes totally agree be careful with those cast hubs the splined fingers can break at a drop of a hat , plenty of penetrating oil and gentle heat and loads of patience .

Do you have any suggestions for removing that drive gear so I can take the clutch slide assembly out? That assembly isn't sliding very free so I wanted to remove it to see what's going on.

Hi Brandon , the drive gear as you’ve guessed is extremely tight on the slide coupling , the ones I’ve removed in the past have required a heavy puller and heat , you will break something if you don’t warm it up , it needs the heat to expand it for both getting it off and also for pressing it back on , before removing it take a few accurate measurements as to where it sits on the slide coupling I think in the workshop manual they are given . These components suffer badly with dust be it clutch lining , dusty condition from use , even saw dust if the tractor has been used a lot on a saw bench which seems to be the usual use for these things now a days . I mention this as I’ve had one which was a bit sticky , the clutch seemed to hang for a second or so before freeing off , I soaked it for a while with SAS penetrating oil and it eventually freed off , just thought it was worth a mention , that gear is really tight when it does go it’s explosive so be careful .
