Yeah, I remember one day riding my old FLH shovelhead down the highway and the front fender tip fell off. Walked up and down the highway and several feet away from the edge of the highway looking for it. Never did find it. Guess the highway was hungry swallowed it. 😂 Is that bike for sale?
That exact thing happened to me on my '74! Took a bit to get turned around and back to the location. To my surprise it was there in the middle of the road and no one ran over it! 👍😎
@Stein55Pan You were lucky. There was very little traffic on the highway when it happened to me. I looked everywhere on and off the highway. Not a trace of it anywhere, including nothing to indicate that it had been run over.
Me and my friend were on a poker run and a guy drove up on a metric cruiser and we were talking and he said he just came along to pick up the parts that fall in of the HDs, this pissed us off and we let him know it, then when we left a mile down the road my right mirror falls off my shovel head 😖I got off to pick it up and guess who rides by smiling, yup you guessed it, I felt like 2 cents asking for change, I ride a lot newer HD and do pre trip inspections still.
I personally wouldn't be so keen on low rev iddle ... doesn't help anything except "sound" its anyway motor with more then 400ccm cylinders each which create quite a big shocks to crankshaft. I'd prefer higher "blood" pressure in vains instead of "sound"
@@kinglingley on retarded or not, the oil pressure is higer on higer revs, shocks are lower on higer revs. Up to You mate. I dont think Im "wrong" its just the level of braveness😂 ... of course needle brg can cope better than sleeves.
