Hey Dave, good to see you working on the old girl. I just painted the foot petal arms and changed the boot on my 53 GMC. Great video

Missed you Dave. Keep up the good work. Silly little repairs on our old ones is great entertainment for a sunday morning. My 41 will be here monday evening for an oil pump change out.

Nice video Dave, watching your videos really brings back memories, I had a 1949 Chevy pickup my senior year of school and looking at that floorboard really reminded me of that truck and time but mine had rags stuffed in the holes that the road salt they used here in central New York would make. I really enjoyed that truck but probably didn’t appreciate it as much in 1969. Thanks for the memories!!

Hey Judd, glad the ole Stovebolt brought you a good memory. Back in the 60's & 70's these old trucks were everywhere, now you can't even find them in junk yards. Hindsite being 20/20 we'd all be rich, LOL.

Well I'll be! Did not know that part existed! Well I'll just have to order one for my old 49! When the little wife makes a remark about more money for the old truck, I'll just say "Dave told me to!" 😂 Another great video, thank you!! God bless!

Hey Dave what's up? Don't you just love the simplicity of the old stuff? Hey a little wad of hubba Bubba gum will take care of those smaller holes...lol..Well you'll have to get in a few more road trips before winter sets in.. I hear it's supposed to be a bad one this year, but they say that every year.. Dave, you take care my friend and God Bless...

Hey Gary, good idea on plugging those little holes. We hardly get any road salt/brine put down over the winter so the 49 gets plenty of winter windshield time. The Deluxe heater works real good. Have a good 'un my friend.

Hey Dave, nice little repair, my coffee’s still warm, lol, I will have to check mine when I get home, one thing I did notice when I moved the 53 the other day was I had a few mouse turds, I will have to figure out how they got in , I did have the battery tray lid off to trickle charge the battery while I was gone so that might be where they got in, luckily no damage that I could see, and the droppings were on the driver seat so we don’t want that, talk to you soon friend 😀🥰

Mice can get through a hole the size of a quarter. They are a nasty vermin.. I've been spraying the interior of my classics with pepperment spray and I haven't seen or smelled any evidence of those vermin since. Could be coinsidence but they do small better inside, LOL. You need a honey bun with that coffee too, LOL. See ya my friend.

I’ve been wondering what the part was called. I knew it couldn’t of came from the factory with a hole like that. My 52 is a project waiting on me to get to her but I’m getting this anyway to keep more bugs from getting in. Thanks👍🏽👍🏽

What book is it that you were looking at as a reference to what you are doing? I really need to fix my pedal spring linkages on the foot controls. Thank you.

It's the factory assembly manual. I'm including a link to a vendor that carries it but you may do a search and find a better deal. Thanks for watching. classicparts.com/chevy-gmc/truck-parts/1947-1954-truck-parts/literature/1947-54-factory-assembly-manual

Hi Dave been wondering how you were doing. Don"t think I missed you. Watch for you. Good job. Can you put foot on peddle and ease it back so it don"t slam? would make it last longer. Will be looking for you
