I'd love to hear George be like "Here we have a 1979 B.C. Rich Bich Guitar. This Particular example is constructed Hawaiian Koa wood, Koa is an exotic hardwood that has been sought after for its rich grain pattern and superb tonal and acoustic qualities. The neck is also a solid, one piece Koa neck. The Ebony fingerboard features stunning cloud shaped mother of pearl inlays. The cloud shaped inlays indicate that this model is a supreme, which is the highest level of build available from BC Rich. The company's insignia is inlayed in mother pearl on the head stock. This guitar also features neck through construction. Neck through construction, especially with such a sculpted neck joint is something that BC Rich helped pioneer. While neck through construction had existed years prior, no company had injected the level of refinement that BC Rich had. This guitar features a wide array of electronics and controls for tonal variation. This labyrinth of switches and potentiometers was the brain child of Neal Moser who worked for the company from 1974 to 1985 as a subcontractor. This maze of electronics includes, a volume control for each pick up, a master tone, and a 3 position toggle switch for pick up selection. This is where the controls become a bit mind boggling, in addition to the basic controls that you may find on most any electric guitar we have to two adjustable preamp boosts, a coil splitting switch for each humbucker, a reverse phase switch, and a 6 position varitione filter, as well two more pots to adjust to level of gain boost from the preamps. Some other interesting features on this guitar include rubber feet that allow the guitar to stand up on its own, dimarzio pickups, and the fact that this a 10 string guitar. Functioning much like a 12 string guitar, the A D and G strings a double in octaves, and the B and E are doubled in unison. This gives a brilliant, shimmering, 12 string chrous effect for lead work that dose not muddy up rhythm playing. You can easily be string this up as a conventional 6 string. These guitars have become very collectible and and serve as a testament to the once impeccable quality of guitars produced BC Rich in their golden age. In many ways BC Rich was the apogee of electric guitar design from the mid to late '70s and even into the mid 80's."

Right on! I would gladly come to the store and be the guy to talk about BC Rich guitars lol! -PS I failed to mention that Neal Moser not only came up with the control scheme but also designed the entire guitar.

Hello Dario, you may or may not know that George Gruhn is the world's foremost expert on vintage guitars. He, in fact, "wrote the book" (i.e. one of the most used & well-known vintage guitar price guides) on how to price them. Our intention with George's show was to showcase his expert knowledge on each instrument - specifically, their features, history & the reason behind their current/modern day vintage guitar price. However, the addition of a "play-test" is in the works for our Season #3 shooting of George' show - so, Stay Tuned! Thanks for your comment & for watching, The Musician Network (TMNtv)
