1956 Porsche 356A Coupe - One Take 

I'm amazed by how this video can be related back to my childhood experience in playing NFS Porsche.

Not my taste in cars but the dude clearly loves his Porsche so it gets the thumbs up from me just for that.

One of the best One Take guests to date. Loves his car, very knowledgeable, and overall very interesting banter in this one. Love it.

You know your shifts are long when the gear lever is labeled: Monday... Tuesday... Wednesday... Thursday.

What a great example of a 356, guys. I had a 1959 356-Cabriolet back in 1972, and I have so many great memories of that fine German automobile. Anyone who thinks these are just pretty Volkswagens has obviously never driven one of these nimble little gems. ;-)

My old 356 had somewhere north of 200k miles when I sold it. It had been rebuilt somewhere around the 120k mile mark. I miss that car.

Nice drive Matt! You drove that well and stayed in the upper Rs up hill. I always double-clutch that 3-2 shift because the original Syncros are not super strong. That is a beautiful car and sounds like it is running really well. The T1 Normal (1600 - black cooling shroud) should be 60hp. That engine bay is very original. Not a VW engine at all - just similar configuration. Thinking this is a VW is the quickest way to say you haven't driven a well sorted one. It is exciting, but not terrifying to drive. my dad bought me a 1962 356C back in 1970 when I was 18....he sold it because there were too many repairs....man, if I owned that car now.....

Looking forward to the 912 drive.This one was a little before my time.As a little kid discovering the wonderful world of the automobile the first gen 911's and 912's were the ones out in the forefront. This is a cool ride though. So glad he didn't call it a "Porsh"

If it’s the original engine, it has 60 HP. Sweet, almost 60 yrs old 👌 One of the differences to VW engines is that “pushrod” engined 356’s have hemi combustion chambers.

I looked at one of these when I was about 20 years old. german racing silver with the sunroof. I'm 6' and my memory is that the sunroof took away some headroom. Was that the case? BTW the asking price was $1500.
