1957! Bob Luman and the Shadows! James Burton (17 going on 18 years of age) on guitar, James Kirkland on upright bass and Butch White on drums! From the Roger Corman film "Carnival Rock." We hear "This is the night," Perhaps one of the best rockabilly performances ever captured on film!!! Digitally restored by Heppest of the hep! Great jivers as well! By December of 1957 the Shadows left Bob Luman to join Ricky Nelson. Bob Luman was devastated yet happy for his friends and is quoted as saying, "Boys, that’s a great thing, I wish I could offer you more.” The rest is history!! #heppestofthehep #hep #hoth

There is so much that diesnt get remembered by the rock and roll hall of fame bob luman whom in his start in rock had james burton before Ricky Nelson and also The Johnny Burnette Trio And Conway Twitty aka Harold Jenkins Whom Started At Sun Records Whom Would Have The Sonny Burgess Band Including Even Sonny Burgess As His Rock And Roll Band I Mean There's So Much Abd More I Can Say But Truth Is just alot of rock and roll being left out

Hi! What happened to your facebook page? It seems it doesn't exists anymore. It was my favorite place for some 50s/early 60s rock n roll acts. Too bad I can't see it anymore! Could you suggest another good FB page or another webpage with the same content or some collectors that are doing trades? Thank you!

Facebook disabled my page without explanation and I am no longer on facebook. I don't know of any another 50's and 60's music page as great as Heppest of the Hep but I will post what I can here on You tube.

Probably one of the worst movies ever. Of course the music is great... Bob Luman, The Platters, David Houston .. but just try to sit through the dialogue.
